What a great advert for doulas, I'm now even more convinced! Looks like you have to be very good at smiling.

PazzaPlusTwo · 23/06/2008 16:21

Hello!

Hi Egg, hi Mars

Egg I can't see the vid I think it is my settings - DH has nuked 'improved' this puter

OMG - Carmen has cellulite on her bottom!!! At 8 weeks. I hope she is sucking it direct from mine into hers !!!

DTs are 8 weeks old today. I think I have lost all concept of time.

Is it normal for them to be quite whiney at this age? They are more awake in the day but they don't know what to do with themselves, not interested in toys or mirrors or mobiles ... and have worked out that a dummy is just a cheap sham to keep them quiet

PazzaPlusTwo · 23/06/2008 16:22

they do like music tho - we are going to have so much fun with dance routines

shabster · 23/06/2008 16:36

Egg - wonderful - please can I have joint custody of your hair it is brill. I will need it from Saturday for two weeks if that is ok

Just put a pic of Lew on my profile that I took today. xx

Mars the birth sounds amazing. I bet she was well chuffed to have you there.

Shabs you are the uber-yaya! Em is so lucky. Say hi to Em and tell her I still feel like I don't know what I'm doing and mine are 8 weeks. I still almost burst into tears whenever they cry and I can't do anything about it - which is several times a day! Disrupted sleep and all those hormones do your confidence no favours. Plus just wanting to be a rilly rilly good mummy to ickle one. I bet she is doing brilliantly. One day at a time x

gruesomefoursome · 23/06/2008 16:38

Hi ya girls!!! Shabs i'm gonna adopt you as my MIL as well as mine died last year

Hi Egg

Did find the thread!

Hi everyone - just about to start bathing and feeding so may talk later!

shabster · 23/06/2008 18:15

No problems Rubester - I haven't ever had a sister either - How tall are you? If you are anything over 5ft I will have problems putting my arms around your shoulders.

I think we should share a pair of roller skates - one each - like me and my friend Freda Kerfoot (that is not made up) used to do!!

OP posts:
Egg · 23/06/2008 19:37

LOL at the name Freda Kerfoot .

Shabs you may have sole custody of the hair. It does, I admit, look ok on the clip (am so pleased, it doesn't normally!), but it is a real hassle and I end up walking round with a pineapple half the time as I don't have time to wash it and it looks crap after 48 hours (or less if it is even minutely damp out).

Little Lewis is even better looking with each day. Does he need any more clothes (don't be polite, I know loads of this lot have sent stuff, but I have some that DS2 has outgrown that have not been worn hardly at all, so just a few "choice" items and not all the well worn stuff).

Did I mention that I love the four pics of your boys? They are all so so gorgeous. And how do you get a pic on the front page of the profile as well as the pics page??????

Pazza I seem to recall a whingey stage that started about 7 or so weeks. Before that they slept, ate, puked, slept, pooed, ate, puked etc, and were all in all quite easy.

Hate to say it but that whiney stage is still going on for DD. DS2 is a contented little chap as long as he is not hungry or tired. DD had to leave the film set early on our doula filming day as she was having a meltdown, whereas DS2 just stayed and played with the presenter!

Egg · 23/06/2008 19:40

Oh MrsBakerG, I forgot to say, you asked about Ella's Kitchen sachets (I think ) on the other thread. They are in the supermarkets and are a nice alternative to jars as are made with 100% fruit and veg and have "lovely" combos like broccoli, pea and pear (sounds hideous but DTs love that one the most). I would really be struggling at the mo if I was trying to prepare all the different types of veg and fruit pureed as any spare time I have I like to spend on MN of course, so at least this way I can find out what they like and don't like and then do some of my own. I did all my own for DS1 and he never appreciated my efforts. I used to cry every time he refused as I had spent hours and hours mass producing the stuff. He was much happier on finger foods so will get these two onto the broccoli florets soon I think.

snorris · 23/06/2008 19:43

Hello!

Egg · 23/06/2008 19:45

Hello snorris. How are you doing? Can you head off to bed or do you still have DCs to get settled? How many weeks are you now? I have lost touch with who is at what stage.

oooggs · 23/06/2008 19:48

I can't get eggs link to work

Egg · 23/06/2008 19:53

Oooggs Squonk (my Zappata friend) can't either. Something to do with her not having the right thingummy on her pc. It is not very exciting, unless you are me of course, in which case it is quite exciting to see yourself on tv [proud].

snorris · 23/06/2008 19:54

Hiya. Not too bad thanks,I'm 15 weeks (I think!) due on 18th Dec. Still feeling sick at times though and now eating an incredibly healthy diet (for me) cos I've gone off most things. Luckily Dh is here and he "does" bedtime so I can just flop about being feeble . Trouble is if I go to bed early I wake up at about 4am then end up being tired at inconvenient times.

I've realised you're not too far from me. Maybe I can stalk you we could meet up sometime? .

brucelovesfrumpygrumpy · 23/06/2008 20:04

Oooh,ooooh!!! New thread!!!! Loving it

THIS WAS MY MORNING!!!!

Will catch up soon!

Egg · 23/06/2008 20:08

Oooh snorris, whereabouts are you? Good on DH for doing bedtime, my DH can't handle it on his own. Or at all really . He can get DS1 sorted but not the babies.

brucelovesfrumpygrumpy · 23/06/2008 20:09

my favourite Wiggle

wish Cpt Feathersword would shiver my timbers

Egg · 23/06/2008 20:10

FG I love your new thread you linked to. Made me laugh!

Egg · 23/06/2008 20:11

Bloody hell. I had no idea any of the Wiggles were even beer goggle attractive!
