OMG girls - what an evening!!!

Landlords father arrives. He sits outside for 15 mins. Knocks on my door. I open it and he says 'Can I come into your home please?' Me, like a petulant teenager says 'Its not my home its your sons, so you may as well come in.'

He starts to explain how sad he feels - he starts to cry which makes me blub. He grabs hold of me and hugs me for about an hour!!! He says 'dont cry Mrs Derkster you are the only white English family I consider my friends, the only family who dont call me names or try to hurt me!!' We have been a snotty crying mess for ages. He cried more when he realised we go away on Saturday and said his son has poor timing.

He hugged and hugged - he only ever shakes DH hand.....he went with the words...'You go Mrs Derkster on holiday, you smile, and swim and laugh and sit in the sun. I will try to sort something out for you. I think you should stay in my sons house until he gets a firm offer for this house.

Hi Shabs...missed you. Just skipped thru and read your news? Can they do that to you? Surely 6 weeks notice after 9 years is not legal? Oh just before you go off, its not fair, life keeps throwing stuff our way doesnt it? We had a lovely time at Nickys, so lovely to be there, it was the first place I went to after Matthew died and felt good and happy. Me and Nicky have been best friends since, love her to bits. H was brill going, think he gets fed up with all the talking we do, but as we only get to see each other on average once a year we need(and do) make the most of it. It did us good, and was so nice to be adults only, feels strange coming back tonight to an empty quiet house. Wont be saying that this time tomorrow! H is losing weight, I am beginning to feel scared that all will not be well, as he says. Chemo and consultant next week

Nothing very exciting...we just know all will be well. I looked at my matts portrait painted by a real 'rough diamond' who used to play football for Derks team. I stared at it and said 'please Matt help us, we have to move again.' In my head came his favourite words. WAS IT BY PURPOSE OR BY ACCIDENT MAM? CAUSE IF IT WAS BY PURPOSE I WILL BATTER THEM FOR YOU. Well, I reckon, none of this bad stuff is by purpose....its all accident...its life....its stuff.
