Goodmorning...............H slept on and off thru the night, got up at 7am and was back in bed 10 mins later. Need to get him to the hopsital this pm, fingers xd we dont get more worrying news. Hope you all have a good day xx

Neenztwinz · 17/07/2008 07:47

Fingers crossed Triplets...

Not a bad night for us - Esther slept in her vibrating recliner chair [bad mum emoticon]. She is in discomfort cos of her hernia and doesn't like to be lied flat. So we have been co-sleeping but I just don't get enough rest that way. She seems comfy all day in her chair so thought I'd try her in that - it worked. I'm sure is OK until she has her op (hopefully next week). Needs must! Theo was an angel - slept from 11.30pm to 3am and then to 6.30am (when I woke him!). It makes all the difference when one twin is easy.

Morning Trips - Morning girls.

Hope everything is ok for you today Trips. I will be having 'words' with my Matt and Gareth for you. If they can sort it out they will

I was so tired last night that I left a full line of washing out and it is raining so hard this morning they are soaked - just ignoring them!!

Yes Em is carrying all our hopes and dreams - too big a responsibility for a young girl. I struggle so much when I hold him. I have to walk into the other room and pretend I am trying to settle him. He is so like Gareth it feels like someone is playing a trick on me - it is overwhelming. I have cried hot tears right onto his face before now - I must pull myself together and help my son and daughter. xxxxx

morning shabs - Em is very lucky

Trips is H feeling better today? good luck at the hospital

Neenz - I have a good twin and a bad twin at night but they take it in turns, one sleeps through, the other wakes about 2am, the next night it is the other way around so I know they can both sleep through

shabster · 17/07/2008 08:21

Oogs thank you my darling - Em is very lucky you are right - We are blessed beyond words with her. I love her like I would love a daughter. The words in law are never spoken. When it is her birthday we always get her a daughter card

I had the same feelings after every child - except Matt. His birth was a doddle, his smile lit up a room and I was content. I had about an hour of the blues on my third day and that was it! Maybe I 'knew' what was going to happen later?

Oh I need to shut up Im blubbing again!

Popping in. Have another long day ahead. One twin mum, one pregnant mum and then out for my sister's birthday.

I really can't wait for August. I've no plans to work (though I do have a pn job on and possible one birth at the very beginning).

I seem to have completely booked myself up right through December. That wasn't the plan but then they call and I can't say no. Sigh...

Anyhoo... time to take the DTs then go see more DTs.

Makes perfect sense to me Rubester

Downstairs is almost packed up - just been in Tomsters room and shuddered

Told my landlord - no return of our bond, no door keys!! Im getting brave and confrontational in my old age!! Bet the landlord sends his dad.

It is pouring down here - really, really pouring down. Greece seems months away now - as though we have never been almost.

Right - off to the mighty Tomsters room

Trips - just popping over here from the Sunflower thread. Sorry to hear about your dh, from my experience kidney's are fickle things. Our consultant compared them to petulant teenagers 'they give up easy, have a strop, then got on with it and start working again'. So they might have a bit of a wobble, but there are many things they can do to treat them and support them.
As always, much love to you, your dh and your family xx

frasersmummy · 17/07/2008 17:27

sorry for the hijack..

Trips I just seen shabsters post re your poor dh..

I just popped in to say I am sorry you are having such a crap time right now and that you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers

sending you hugs

will leave now as quickly as I came

Ooogs, I missed you too, how is it all going? Are your angels turning into monster toddlers like my dts are? They love to walk, I like them to walk but the are dangerous, I tried attaching them to each other with reins but the both ran off in different directions and ended up flat on their faces . they sneak off into corners together chatting and giggling. fight over toys, but share their food. They are adorable !

accordiongirl · 17/07/2008 20:47

Hello everyone!

Back from holidays and a nice time had by all. Babies look tanned and grown up, it wasn't even that sunny, just seaside air. I cut their fringes for the first time, it's cuted them up! Pink twin still strangely high-strung and clingy, but better than before.

Neenz, my blue twin had a hernia, he had it operated on when he was six weeks old. Have you had someone talk you through the anaesthetic? It's a bit wierd and strange watching them go under, so it's good to be prepared mentally a little. I was just completely unprepared for it. It seemed to knock him back for a few weeks, but it needed to be done, and all's well that ends well and I'm grateful to the nice doctors for making him better. My boy's hernia was related to undescended testicle - is that what you've got?

LOL leo about the twins running in opposite directions! Sounds like we're at a similar stage. We just put them back to sleep in the same room - we split them up in September for so-called "sleep training" (aka Baby Bootie Camp). Now they point to their beds and want to be put in them, I think they're happy with the new arrangement. Luckily, cos on holiday they had to share a room the size of two travel cots and no more!

Hugs to you triplets.

Oh, the concert? It was fun fun fun although there's a very elderly fellow sits at the back of the firsts section, very hard of hearing, he decided to play his own thing, right in the quiet dramatic passage of our big number (if you really want to know, a medley of Russian tunes, you know - Volga Boat song, Red Army Marching tune etc etc). One of the reasons that the concert went well was that I didn't do my solo piece, going to save it for Christmas concert. Yee-ha.

piximon · 17/07/2008 21:15

Trips any news? My dad had to see a renal specialist recently and they said his poor levels were from cholesterol and if he brought his levels down he'd be fine. He actually dropped several points but it's not quite enough. So it's not necessarily something too bad. I have everything that I can cross crossed for you.

Things are a bit bad for me at the moment. A while back (1999) I was really stressed and spent a year in bed recovering from IBS/depression/stress and feel I may be heading back that way. I'll see how I go over the next few weeks and then think about going the AD route if I just can't shake it. DCs picking up on my mood and really playing me up and rather than just dusting it off, it's getting to me and I'm being snappy and irritable. The other day I felt about ready to walk out, (ds1 wet the bed, dd1 peed herself, prince shat through his clothes, my duvet, my mattress etc, dt1 got another cold, dt2 wouldn't stop screaming/spitting at me)only if I did there'd be no one to take over.
