Oh Trips Rubes has got it spot on there, you poor thing. I hope your brother, friend and Harry are all ok.

You need a hol on your own in a year! A cruise somewhere sunny and calm. Do the lottery. I dont know how you do it all.

Shabs the low after a hol is evil, i hope little Lewis cheers you up All will be well, sign those form to get your new place and it will be like starting afresh

It is ds#3's birthday today, he is 6! They grow too fast He is all Indiana Jones and pogo stick kitted out. He has his best friend coming to play all day and will have a party lunch with cake and candles then burgers and chips for tea (his choice of course) It is nice weather so i will be packing them all out to play. Who needs parties when you have this many children

DH is still away I hate it when he misses days like this

shabster · 13/07/2008 08:59

Morning girls - freezing cold, disgruntled, knackered, sad, mithered, first load of washing in, dan, em and lewis coming for sunday dinner (nothing in fridge), 9 years of crap to pack in boxes, oh its so good to be home

Sunday dinner roasting will smell diving Shabs and think of snuggling Lewis

shabster · 13/07/2008 09:22

the snuggling of lewis and showing him all his pressies will be heavenly - but beans on toast hasnt the same smell as roast beef!!

just looking around at 9 years of stuff I am going to have to pack up over the next week.

I will slap myself around the face, try to find some clean clothes and in true Shabby fashion 'Get on with it!'

MarsLady · 13/07/2008 13:25

Help needed here with 15mo DTs who are at the biting stage and also not eating well

triplets · 13/07/2008 14:27

Oh Shabs, I know you don`t want to be here but we have all truly missed you and love you and are glad you are back! You look absolutely fab in that photo, even Derkster looks happy!! Thank you a million times for celebrating Matthews birthday, it made me feel happy. No improvement here today with DH, he is in bed now and we have to leave for the theatre in an hour, he insists on going. I look a complete wreck today, someone tell me it will get better once this chemo is over Right, lipstick on, do Beccas hair and off we go, back later. xx

Hi all, some bad-ish news here - my DD has a hernia and needs an op . I am being philisophical, realise lots of babies have ops and are fine but the thought of her having a general anaesthetic is very worrying. I noticed lump just above her fanny last night when changing her nappy. Was seen by GP on call at local hospital - she will have op in 2-4 weeks.

I am still BFing them so what will happen when she has the op? Will all three of us be able to stay?

I have posted some new pics of them on my profile - are they the cutest or what?

oooggs · 13/07/2008 20:36

neenz - the are so lovely I have no idea about all 3 of you staying - have you rung the hospital?

Neenztwinz · 13/07/2008 20:47

Hi oooggs - I am waiting for my GP to refer us.

MERLYPUSS · 13/07/2008 21:04

Welcome home shabby.
Trips- enjoy the theatre.
All those lovely new photos. I will update mine now.

largeginandtonic · 13/07/2008 21:23

Neenz Sam had a hernia too, he was just home from hospital a few weeks (they were 3 months early) when he had to go in for it. I took them both and he was in and out in a day. The op was done early and he made a quick recovery. I was bf them both but they would both have bottles fine as had been in Special care so long. I just pumped and bottled if need be. The facilities inhospital are good for that if they wont let you stay with both. Although i have no idea why they wouldnt.

Dont worry

Neenztwinz · 13/07/2008 21:25

Thanks largeg+t. I didn't expect her to be able to come home in a day cos of the anaesthetic. They both take bottles no problem so no worries there. Hopefully we will have as good an experience as you. Thanks again that is good news.

largeginandtonic · 13/07/2008 21:39

I think Sam weighed about 5lb 6oz when he had that op, he was still on oxygen too so i am sure your little bundle is in a much better state than he was too! Glad you fell a bit better.

It was Addenbrokes he had the op in.

MERLYPUSS · 13/07/2008 22:04

New photos. which one looks like a girly to you coz I don't get it?

tkband3 · 13/07/2008 22:11

Neenz, DD1's got to have the same op very soon. Just found out on Wednesday - they're hoping to do it in the next couple of weeks. They told me she'd be in and out the same day. She had a GA a couple of years ago and she was fine, although I found it very distressing. Obviously she's a lot older than your DD (just 5). Hope you get the referral soon.

Well, the party yesterday was just fantastic . Phil the Beat was the best party entertainer I've seen - had the children totally engaged from start to finish. I'd highly recommend him for anyone in our area. DD1 had an amazing time. Only slightly disappointing thing was the turn-out - so many people didn't reply and didn't turn up, such a shame. But there were enough of them there to have a great afternoon. I won't tell you about the bit where the mothers of the birthday girls had to do YMCA, complete with hats (fortunately DH was too busy laughing at me to take any pictures ).

Shabs, welcome back . Glad you have had such a lovely holiday. Hope you get the house sorted asap.

Trips, what a few days you've had. Hope Gladys behaves tonight.

Mars, I've texted you - are we seeing you tomorrow?

Right, off to bed for me...am so looking forward to the holidays and no school run. I know the children are getting tired now we're nearly at the end of term, but I am too. Although DD1's school is shut Weds and Thurs because of a UNISON strike, so we have an extra couple of days holiday .

tkband3 · 13/07/2008 22:14

Gorgeous pics Merly. They both look like bouncing boys to me, but then some people just don't look properly and don't listen either. I had an old lady once say to me, 'oh what lovely twin boys you have' - when they were both wearing pink tights and skirts and pink boots . When I pointed this out, rather sharply, she said 'oh so sorry dear, I haven't got my specs on. Well they are lovely whatever they are'. Which just made me feel guilty for jumping on her .

triplets · 13/07/2008 22:49

Hi all,
What a long day, left here at 3pm for the theatre, kids at stage door for 4pm, show at 5.30pm, it ended at 9pm, and we got home at 10pm!! Tessiebear(one of us) very kindly looked after DT3, she`s a star! Show was good, then they awarded certificates and special awards............da da..both got a certificate of merit.....da da.......James got a trophy for The Award for Achievement, so big bod from London gave it to him, guess who forgot to take the camera Poor DH has had a rotten day, but would not miss the show, my back was and is killing me, but it was worth it. Where is that Shabster? I must get to bed, Radio Ga Ga will not doubt be resumed tomorrow.........for all those who have been missing it

triplets · 13/07/2008 22:52

Merlypuss..........totally beautiful babies, I`d be happy to sit

Shabs............what news of my godson, any new pics for me?

MERLYPUSS · 13/07/2008 23:17

They are pretty fab aren't they? I am about to go to bed so I'll say night-night now and catch up tomorrow. xx
