Hi Kelz just posted a message on your other thread! Welcome to our very special club, we are slightly insane(well known side effect of multiple mums), but always supportive! I have had heaps of lovely support on here, you can say anything, no one will judge. We are all here to help

We got married on the quiet. Just invited immediate family(12 of us)and outlaws paid for Sri Lankan food which we scoffed in the garden. Told them at work that I was going on holiday, which wasn't a complete lie, as I was going to Cornwall for a week after doing the 'deed'. Set my email out of office thingy to read that I was getting hitched so wouldn't be around for a week or so, hit send, and ran like fury from the office. We had been together for 15+ years so couldn't see the point of making a huge hoo-ha about the wedding. Regisrty job. MIL got food. Frozen cheesecakes from Sainsbury for desert. My outfit was an Indian suit that MIL bought on her last trip. They paid for rings (Bhuddist or SL custom I'm told). DP suit from a sale as he always wanted a linen suit. Guests wore jeans. BIL did photos. Fab day with no stress

MERLYPUSS · 01/07/2008 23:10

Righto. Very quiet tonight so I am going a-bed. Night.

triplets · 01/07/2008 23:28

Sorry Merly, I have been looking on the cancer forums to give me hope! It is awful quiet, won`t be in Faliraki, Shabs is Queen of the karioke tonight Goodnight to any stragglers! xx

MarsLady · 01/07/2008 23:34

There'll be no quiet weddings on my watch Hoochie! [stern look and withdrawal of ample bobos]

Welcome Kelz! The ladies here are all nutters lovely!

shabster · 01/07/2008 23:53

Hiya girls!!! We won 25 euros on karaoke - singing 8 days a week by the Beatles!!! Been down to the town tonight to Thomas' Bar - Tomster played the owner of the bar at football on the play station. Cause England won he gave him a tshirt that says 'Thomas' Bar, Faliraki all over it. Oh why do we have to come home....why would we want to.

Been on the internet with Dan, Em and Lewis tonight. Em has been told by her doctor that she has Post natal depression. At least now he has given her medication. She actually looks better now she has tablets and seems much, much brighter. I thought that was what she was feeling and told Danny. All will be well...all will be well.

Oh Momma, it's a horrid dilemma. Particularly as there's probably a small part of you that thinks the party might be fun . (Not that I'm angling for an invite or anything....).

Couldn't you just go to the local register office - you, Papa, the DCs, DrunkenFriend and A.N. Other for witnessing purposes and sort out the paperwork. Then plan a big party for the friends and family - maybe for DTs first b'day and spring the news on them then. Then you get to have a lovely new frock and a party, but the actual 'official' bit is less of an issue.

Afternoon me lovers!!!!!!

Momma, all I can say is it really is your day. Those who love you will understand your decision whatever it might be. Pretend you got whisked away and it was a total surprise...in other words bloody lie through your teeth girl to have the day you want!!!

My big sis is here!!!!!!!!!!!

And we will be going out Saturday night, infact she is going to help me choose a dress tomorrow

FH is still an arse but trying to be a smaller one. I still feel really gulity and hate seeing his pain but I know after the last couple of days I truly have made the right decision. In fact he probably helped me put all those little doubts to one side by doing what he did. The kids were scared, I was scared and I was seconds away from calling the police. He didn't care that the kids were there,he actually said good I think they should see it. KNOB!!!

Ahhhh well!!! Life goes on!!! I'm sure someone will be able to take my mind of things

ChopsTheDuck · 02/07/2008 12:42

welcome back tigger!

Momma, get married abroad - just you and the kids. Then you can come back and have a party for everyone else.
That's what dp and I want to do, except not the party when we get back bit. Our families are very different and pleasing both lots would be impossible. We don't really have friends.

ChopsTheDuck · 02/07/2008 12:45

sorry to hear that em has pnd shabs, glad she been to the gp though. I had it and it isn't nice, but once the ads kicked in she should feel lots better.

I'm great thanks. I'm 30 end of this month. Somefeckerbody got the dates mixed up too, so I've already had my first '30' card. !

Neeerly3 · 02/07/2008 16:42

accept your fate gracefully girls!.....or get as battered as i did on my 30th and wake up naked in the spare room, husband in your room, and clothes strewn round the house.....ahem.....

ChopsTheDuck · 02/07/2008 16:44

hmm, not much chance of that. Most i'll prob get is a trip to see that new disney film and a pizza!

Neeerly3 · 02/07/2008 16:48

don't underestimate DP me dear.....I had written mine off completely - I got a private number plate and a holiday to Austria! (hated the holiday, but then got a trip to Italy on my own to make up for it!)
