DH has gone away with work til thursday and my morning sickness is not relenting and i got the boys to look after BY MYSELF....arrrhggghhhh

HarrogateMum · 01/07/2008 13:29

oh Meeely what a nightmare. I know what thats like, DH used to work away mid week when I was pg with no. 3 and it was tough......you will be fine though - go to bed early every night!

Neeerly3 · 01/07/2008 16:49

HM, I am very much planning to, have even change the bedding so it's all clean and lovely for me to spread out in BY MYSELF! Although will be joined by Arfa at some point in the night.

Any suggestions on dinner for tonite? I may get take out!

HarrogateMum · 01/07/2008 17:24

Well I am making a leek and bacon potato bake.......not really ideal for the lovely hot weather but I have stuff that needs using up!

When I am on my own I always do one of my two failsafe favourites - risotto (DH hates it) or pasta with pesto chicken...yum.

Failing that - an Indian!

oh oooggs, I do feel for you. I had really bad sickness with all mine, I also tried acupuncture with Maddy but sadly it didnt work even though I had 5 or so sessions. However a friend of mine had it and raved about it so I guess its different for everyone.

Tigs - we missed you too and Momma that dish sounds yum.

I was thinking I might have a bash at FG's round up whilst she is not here [shy emoticon] - would anyone object?

HarrogateMum · 01/07/2008 19:28

HM, that sounds like a great idea. Go for it .

Our help is needed here ladies - particularly triplets and tigger!

Am waiting for DH to come home so I can go to fat club, sorry slimming world . He's running late though and I'm starving - not sure how long I'm going to last before I give in and eat something. If I go though, I'll have lost half a stone, so I don't want to eat anything just in case....

oooggs · 01/07/2008 19:49

momma!!!!!!!!!!! do you have something to spill

hi tkb

tkband3 · 01/07/2008 19:51

Ooooh x-posted with you Momma. Now who would that be...? .

I do know of someone who did this - went off and got married, I think in the Caribbean somewhere. When they got back, they had a huge party for all their friends and family - the invite they sent round was a picture of the backs of their heads on a beach, during their wedding ceremony... except no-one knew that that's where they were until they got to the party, when the couple 'fessed up. Sounded like a great idea and one which I was more than tempted by on several occasions. Of course when you say, without telling anyone, you don't mean us now, do you.... .

Neeerly3 · 01/07/2008 19:52

simply cannot bring myself to eat....help!

tkband3 · 01/07/2008 19:54

Hi Ooogs - sorry you're still feeling so poorly . I had acupuncture to try and stop my cholestasis itching and then when I was finally induced, to try and help bring on the labour. Didn't work for me, but I have several friends who've tried it successfully for various things, including turning a breech baby.

DH has just rung - will be about 20 mins. So I'll be late to fat club, but will hopefully get my half stone award and then get home just in time for him to serve me my dinner, which he'll have lovingly cooked the minute he walked in the door! .
