Firstly, a very belated Happy Christmas to all the multiple mummies. I have kept meaning to post over the last week but things have been a little hectic and this is the first opportunity I've had to properly sit down and catch up. But I hadn't posted for quite a while before the festive season began - have been feeling quite low and fed up and didn't want to spoil the excitement.
Must send congratulations to TAT - gorgeous babies and lovely names (my DD1 is Ella Rosa). Well done you .
slownorris - glad to hear your DD is back home and healthy again.
Do ILs always send awful presents? SIL always sends horrid stuff that is either too big or just plain hideous - but she takes the tags off so I can't take them back (probably cos she bought them in the sales in January ). So those presents are all off to the charity shop. Then MIL gives the DTs and DD1 the same jumper - I have chosen not to dress my DTs the same, let alone DD1 as well, and she knows this - she's never seen them in the same outfit, yet this is the second time she's done this. But this time she's taken the tags off, so I can't take these back either (and they're all too big as well) . DP thinks I'm being unreasonable (to MIL) and that she probably just thought it would be cute - unlike him to be so reasonable, frankly .
Leo, I adore all my girls, but I (too) frequently find myself shouting, particularly at DD1 who is just pressing all my buttons at the moment. But I always make a point of apologising for shouting before she goes to bed, and explaining why I was so angry. Not sure if the reasoning goes in, but it makes me feel better to have cleared the air.
Triplets your day yesterday sounded magical. Hope you have a lovely dinner party tonight.
Oh nearly forgot to tell you - we now have triplets in our house . Three Baby Annabels , which sit and gurgle and turn their heads when you talk to them . The girls are loving being mummies - DP is wondering when he can buy them a scalextric .
Trying the potty training thing again with DT2. She seems much more ready than DT1 - has been asking to go to the loo a lot recently so we bit the bullet yesterday morning and so far we've had no accidents - just a couple of pairs of damp knickers. Fingers crossed we've got the timing right this time.
Anyway, festive greetings to one and all - promise not to stay away so long again. I've put a rather pretty green bottle with an orange label in the fridge, Mars (DP's new boss gave him 12 bottles of veuve cliquot for Christmas ).
