Love the dress Dingdong!

Mars - sorry to be a bore but can you link me to the LDC recipe - I know its somewhere but I am feeling lazy! Having read up on what I missed over the last week or so I can confirm that the Nigella orange choc store cupboard cake is v. easy, v. yummy and if I remember rightly only involves washing up one large saucepan which is always a bonus in my book! It also keeps well.

DTs getting spottier by the min but dont seem to be feeling too unwell - which lets face it is a bit of a drawback as they seem to have enough engergy to trash the house and beat each other up - I'm not sure I will last the week.

rosmerrin · 24/03/2007 22:24

OK Mars - I've found the mousemat site!

MarsLady · 25/03/2007 00:29

Sorry Rose... was elsewhere.

DingDong... can I simply say that that dress is DingDong!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You'll look fab!

dingdongjustforyoufg · 25/03/2007 10:06

Morning all

I'm so glad you all like the dress, makes me feel happier about wearing it - once I've found something to go with it to prevent pneumonia setting in!

hope the DTs aren't exhausting you too much rosmerrin, mine have just come back from 24 hours chez PILs and DT1 has turned into a screaming demanding brat, just like her cousin so its a week's bootcamp for her

FG my parents do a cooked breakfast at a shelter for the homeless once a month or so, they really enjoy it. CAn't believe you are home alone all weekend as well as all week - I enjoy my moments of solitude (like now, DTs 'helping' DH walk the dog, which probably means he'll be back in a mo, dump the DTs and take the dog out properly )

Any news from LG&T yet? Hope all is still well xx

dingdongjustforyoufg · 25/03/2007 10:07

FG that should have read I enjoy my moments...but am glad there's not many of them!

Kelly1978 · 25/03/2007 10:27

I can't see the dress I went to ladies s/s but the page was blank. Want to see it!

Kelly1978 · 25/03/2007 10:31

It worked in i.e. It's a lovely dress. Needs a nice shawl to go with it, try tie rack. I went with twin mum meeely2 shopping for a wedding and we found a perfect shawl in there. I love the one to the left of that on that site too.

Kelly1978 · 25/03/2007 10:33

rosmerrin, its here

Harrogatemum · 25/03/2007 15:04

Hi girls - I'm back, had a lovely time and had waaaay too much to drink. We sank two bottles of champers in our room before we even went to dinner adn hence were a bit tiddly when we got there. And then we were both asleep and snoring by 10pm, ha ha!!

My Mum says that the first thing DT1 said to her this morning was "Mummy shopping?". She said yes, good to know that they understand their Mummy at their tender age!

MarsLady · 25/03/2007 15:14

LOL!

Glad you both had a good time. So with all that alcohol there should be no news in a couple of weeks.

Currently DT1 is having a screaming hissy fit because she stepped on the remote and we can't rewind the programme she was watching. She's discovered the art of the 6am wake up and that's making her over tired. Sigh............... DT2 is being his usual laid back self. DT1 is causing us all to search out adoptive parents for her.

Ooh now... I need a name for my antenatal classes. Any suggestions...?

Overrun · 25/03/2007 15:15

Hello every one. I am feeling a lot better now, and although I am still sore, I am trying to get back to normal.
No time to catch up with every one properly, but just wanted to let you know that I am still around

MarsLady · 25/03/2007 15:17

Good to know Overrun... and also that you are getting there. You look after yourself love

estar · 25/03/2007 18:27

Mars how about,
'All the Things You Wished You'd Known Nine Months Ago'
or
'How to Grin and Bear It'
or
'The Pre-Labour Party' (ooo, I like that one!)
or
'The Born Identity' (scraping the barrel now...)
or
'From Here to Maternity' (back in the running with that one?)

I'll leave it up to everyone else to make serious suggestions

rosmerrin · 25/03/2007 19:41

Thanks Kelly - I think I will give it a go this week as I am going to be housebound.

More spots today - but managed to dilute the DTs by going to my Dad's for lunch.

Following on from the Sudocreme frying pan I pulled all the clean clothes from the tumble dryer this morning to find them covered with oily stains - Oh no what has happened to my washing I asked myself. Further unloading discovered the remnants of a Fairy liquid capsule that an unidentified small person had added to the dryer and then turned it on again. Please be advised that this does not make the clothes extra clean. Whole load back in the wash again. What is it with my boys and domestic chores - well I suppose its a good idea to start them early and Im sure it will wear off once they actually become useful. We already have to keep the kitchen broom at head height on the wall to stop DS3 (aged 1.11) from sweeping and he makes a bee line for the dustpan and brush whenever we drop the DTs off at preschool.

Here's another one - DT2 complained this afternoon that his pants were "crocked" - and uncomfortable - well they would be wouldn't they if they were crocked. Any one else had crocked pants today? I think they must have been crooked (is that spelt right, doesnt look right - oh well they were wonky anyway!!!)

Harrogatemum · 25/03/2007 19:45

Mars - BEFORE the first bottle was finished I did treat DH to my fabulous knee high boots 'n' stockings combo! But that does not mean there will be any news in a few weeks, no sirree!!!

Overrun - good to hear from you.......keep posting if you feel like it and let us know how you are getting on.

Kelly (whiny voice), how do I resize piccies..........pretty pleeeeaaaassseeeeee?

rosmerrin · 25/03/2007 19:47

Cor really going for it tonight. DT1 has just come back down from bed - went up early and fell asleep as feeling ill. We have just got one of those rabbit alarm clocks for the DTs room so they know when to get up and when to stay in bed. I hadnt set the alarm yet so he has just woken up and come down demanding breakfast because the rabbit is awake - and DH has given it to him! Oh well.

dingdongjustforyoufg · 25/03/2007 20:20

HM glad you had a good weekend, the booze and falling asleep early sounds rather like our last weekend away

Rosmerrin we have just got a bunny clock too, DT2 has woken me 3 times in the past week to express her concern that the bunny isn't awake yet I'm sure its not meant to work like that

Good to hear from you Overrun, keep reading if not posting

I am trying to do a bit of a carb-free-after-lunch diet for the next couple of weeks in the attempt to look vaguely ok at this bloody wedding, where the bride and her sisters are all tiny and my sis is a size 10 so if you hear me munching on crisps of an evening feel free to shout! So far today I've been quite good, chicken, veg and couscous for lunch, salad with pine nuts and cheese (naughty but nice and not carbs!) for tea, plus a few extra nuts on the way, oh, and a couple of glasses of wine (also carb free!) I think I could get used to the nut and wine diet

Harrogatemum · 25/03/2007 20:45

dingdong and rosmerrin - where do you buy those clocks from?? I NEEEEEED one for my DTs desperately.

And dingdong I am trying a carb free approach too, but I do mine the other way round, I eat a tiny bowl of cereal for breakfast and a salad for lunch and then have whatever I want in the evening, i.e. pasta, spuds, rice in MASSIVE amounts. It isnt making me lose weight but seems to be keeping me at the stone lighter than I was before I got pregnant this time which makes me happier.

I do however have THE SMALLEST BOOBS in the world, I mean, I should be a circus act really. What do you all think of implants.......not the huge ones, just to make me look in proportion and not ridiculous??????

dingdongjustforyoufg · 25/03/2007 21:17

here's the clock - go through mnet for 10% off!

triplets · 26/03/2007 09:15

So glad you had a lovely w/end Harrogatemum, see, never give up hope!

Kelly1978 · 26/03/2007 11:31

Hm, I'd get implants if I could afford it. The thing that always put me off before was what if something goes wrong, but on the latest ones you get a lifetime guarantee.

Sorry I forgot earlier, open your pic in paint, press ctrl + w, stretch the horizontal and verticle to about 20%, and that should reduce it enough to post.

frumpygrumpy · 26/03/2007 12:52

HM and HD have 2 bottles of champagne before dinner and were only tiddly .

Y'old soaks

Mars, your class name......."Do you ever wonder...." then add whatever you fancy

My nominations are:

  • just how big it can get?
  • how to wee and breastfeed at the same time?
  • if your feet will recognise you when you return?
OP posts:
frumpygrumpy · 26/03/2007 12:56

NO to implants. Hate 'em. Vile. Disgusting. You body will have been invaded and it will hurt like hell. I have yet to see implants that look real and normal. I don't have big boobs and when I lose weight they are even worse but no, no implants. Clothes can look pretty good without big knockers.

OP posts:
Harrogatemum · 26/03/2007 12:56

Yes I admit it, we are old soaks......

Harrogatemum · 26/03/2007 12:58

yes but are you like me and kidding yourself that the A cups you had before children havent actually shrunk to a AA and continued to wear the same bras but they all have a big space in them........sob sob.

Anyway, just having a bit of a downer on my body in general at the mo so just ignore me!!
