Aargh!!! I lost my post

Speedy, in essence, I said go for it. But I said it much more eloquently than that and I went on and on for pages. You have been spared My three each have a special relationship with the others so I'm lucky that they have a lovely crossover. I struggled with DTs after my DD1 but I am very, very glad I have 3. I understand your hesitation (twins again, yikes!) but really, you fancy it and you wouldn't entertain it if you knew you couldn't manage. Keep us posted, we love being virtual doulas on here, with Mars keeping us in check of course

Doris, sorry to hear about the POX. Yuk. My 3 all took it in November. I found Aqueous Calamine really good, its effects last much longer that bog standard calamine and the massage as you apply it seems to help the itch. Don't be fobbed off with lesser stuff (Boots to an equivalent and its rubbish). Make sure its Aqueous Calamine (usually cheap and has the plus sign on the packaging). A friend bought me a herbal thing which worked magnificently for my DT1, I'll just search for it, can't remember the name........

Largeg&t - would have to be wednesday now!!!!!!!!!!

email me [email protected]

1becomes3 · 23/04/2007 16:12

Would you belive it just as the DT's seem to be getting better Poor old DD has a tummy bug and has been throwing up since 1am sat.

SO once again I am seriously lacking some sleep although not as tired as you would think as DD has been sleeping all day which is a nice break from her running riot.

On a happier note the HV came to see the DT's and Zed has gone from 5lbs 9oz to 6lbs 5oz in a week over taking Lola by half an oz.
So the baby mooning really worked thank you so much Mars for the advice You are my hero

I hope you are all doing well, you never know one day I may even have the time to be able to read what is going on in your lives on here.

Hi 1becomes3, thats bad luck for you,but fantastic news about the great weight gain
Estar - I am not really sure about this, as I am not phobic it is probably hard to imagine how bad that would be. I had to have blood tests every couple of days with dts pregnancy, so kind of just got used to it in the end.
I supppose you could legitimately skip all the ones for HIV etc that you know are okay. I guess only you can make the decision, good luck with it

Is it right to feel full to bursting at 23 weeks with twins? I feel like if I breathe out my baby sac is just going to pop inside! Not the skin on my belly, I know that's got more stretch in it, but my insides feel tight - does that sound stupid/make sense to anyone?

And why all of a sudden do I feel completely knackered? I've had 2 weeks of feeling on top of the world, healthy and "blooming" and this weekend it all disappeared, not I feel like I should just lie down a lot.

Kelly1978 · 23/04/2007 17:07

what's baby mooning? Incredible weight gain though, well done!

bibi, I did have problems, but then my lung collapsed. I think one of the important things is to try to keep getting some sort of exercise, even as you do become more uncomfortable. Perhaps you could look into something like aquanatel classes?

MarsLady · 23/04/2007 17:45

Baby mooning is like a honeymoon. Being naked and doing lots of skin to skin with your baby (instead of your hubby and without the sex iyswim). You shut out the rest of the world and you take your baby(ies) to bed. Keep it nice and dim, pop a tv in the room if you need the company, read mags. Keep snacks and drinks beside you and get nekkid!!!!!!!!!

Babymooning rocks!!!!!!!!!

MarsLady · 23/04/2007 17:50

Sorry

Well done 1b3. Knew you could do it! [smug emoticon]

Kelly1978 · 23/04/2007 17:58

Wow that sounds like heaven, definately a great idea.

Kelly1978 · 23/04/2007 17:59

I'm almost tempted to have another baby jsut so I can do it.

MarsLady · 23/04/2007 18:02

Knew you'd like it Kelly. Hey check out this link in the Times.... and guess what I've called my antenatal classes (before this came out incidentally... the website is almost ready)

Oh yeah!!!!!!!!!!!! lol

tkandb.... email me lovelymarslady at aol dot com and I'll give you my number. You can bring your DD over for some cake (I think the kids are making me a cake... but I'll produce an ldc anyway)

Kelly1978 · 23/04/2007 18:08

gentlebirth by any chance?

Looks liek there is goign to be a huge demand for it, and it will become the norm to pay for private antenatel classes. I reckon you've done a great thing getting in now! Good luck with it, you deserve to do well, all the work you've put in.

Kelly1978 · 23/04/2007 18:10

I'm still sitting here thinkign about babymooning. I've jsut remembered that when I got mastitis I ended up doing that, off to bed with the babies, food and drink, a magazine and a darkened room, it was lovely, except for being ill. I wish I had spent more time doign that.

MarsLady · 23/04/2007 18:14

I'm called theBabyMoon! How fantastically brilliant is that??????

Kelly1978 · 23/04/2007 18:21

oh wow, that is ace!

theBabyMoon · 23/04/2007 18:32

See.... told you! lol

I'm so excited by the whole thing. MorningPaper is building that site for me as well and you've seen how lovely MammyDoula is

Just thought I'd nab the name on here as well lol!

Kelly1978 · 23/04/2007 20:31

I wanna be babymoon now, such a lovely image! Have you got a babymoon logo too then?

I am exhausted. dt1 has finally gone to bed, and I'm jsut not used to having them up this late. Thank god it's preschool tomorrow, and good luck wit your two in the morning tkband!

I jsut don't trust my two together. I put them in bed, and rav immediately started screaming "Biiiite! Biiite!" DD let him out and he had teeth indentations in his hand, so I've been waiting for dt2 to go to sleep before sending him back up. A few days ago I had to rescue him as dt2 was repeatedly slamming the door on him - dt1 was pinned against the stairgate. I'm terrified one of them is going to get really hurt.

estar · 23/04/2007 22:25

Yikes Kelly! Mine went through a really short phase of doing things to each other - the worst was when dt2 smeared the contents of his nappy on dt1's face - but settled down pretty quickly. Could one of them go to sleep in dd's room for a few weeks? Or your room? Then you could move him later when they're both asleep. Maybe it would break the cycle?

Kelly1978 · 23/04/2007 22:29

at the poo, please don't let the dts read this!

I wish I could, but they only go to sleep in their bedroom because there is a high gate and literally nothing else in there apart from their cots. If I either of them in another room they would have a field day and the room would be trashed.

I really do hope it is jsut a phase.

MarsLady · 24/04/2007 00:11

It should just be a phase Kelly my love. I remember my DTs going through a rather unfriendly phase. I think it's because they are learning about their own space and it's difficult to get that with a twin. Hope it passes soon.

Overrun · 24/04/2007 09:48

Kelly, sounds terribly familiar I think mine are getting marginally better now, although, they still have their moments.
They start nursery this afternoon, I feel quite emotional. Its not helped by the fact, that I have a clash as I am supposed to pick ds1 up from pre shcool at the same time, and my person who was going to pick ds1 up, as let me down at the last minute
oh and I agree Babymooning does sound wonderful.

largeginandtonic · 24/04/2007 12:20

Poor you Kelly, mine did bite for a while too, only each other though. They can be pretty rotten to each other at the moment to be honest, much fighting and destroying of toys. Sure they are just craving their own space like Mars suggests.

It is awful to watch though

Ooogs i have just emailed you about tomorrow. We could be ladies who lunch!!!!

Am so tired of this pregnancy malarky, cant wait to sleep on my tummy again. I just keep saying to myself at least im not 37 weeks pregnant with twins.......lovely as they are, pregnancy with them was not fun!

oooggs · 24/04/2007 18:17

MarsLady · 24/04/2007 18:28
