dh is up the hospital with her, just did a video call, and she looks very poorly. She is 80, and not sure she can cope with all this. They don't seem to know what the blockage is, they cancelled the camera investigation and keep doing xrays and gasteographies, but that not helping her. Nothing is staying down now, or passing through. It is frustrating because she has had digestive issues for years, mostly put down to food intolerances, but there must have been something wrong somewhere that has now worsened.

Is the battery low on it?

Our smoke alarm goes off from the steam when anyone has a shower. Stupid thing, it supposed to be a FIRE alarm, and it detects WATER!

Doing "on call" this weekend, some pillock woke me at 4.15 asking for cover tomorrow. Why is it that some people on night shift think its a good idea to ring at stupid o'clock just because they are awake!

Glad to hear the op went well!

I'm doing okay - had an eye test yesterday and they found retina degration (basically wear and tear on my eye). It puts me at a higher risk of retina detatchment and they're only concerned because I've recently being seeing floater. GP has been given a urgent referral for an eye specialist as they need to dilate my pupils to know more and because I'm pregnant they need to know more. I'm absolutely petrified and constantly anxious and worrying as now I'm having headaches too. Trying not to stress for babies' sake but it's so hard and I'm thinking worst case senarios which is going blind! Saying that, Optician says my vision is better than my last test and my reading glasses are too strong.

Dc are well and dd is better think it was a tummy bug.

How is everyone?

mama- try not to worry. I have lots of floaters and am under the care of the opthalmic department, but they just monitor me on a 6 montly basis. I also have mild glaucoma, diagnosed last year.

MultipleMama · 27/04/2013 23:52

Thanks, bubby. Just so scared as I have no facts at all as optician couldn't tell me much or know more until my pupils are dilated. I was driving so she couldn't do it then.

I refuse to google it as it'll make myself worse. Dh has been great and has advised me to call GP and make an appt even if it's just to discuss it and chase up my referral.

God, I'm such a worry wart lol

I'm trying trips but these hormones aren't making it easy! Haha.

Today has been great. Had dinner at DG then we all went for a walk were all dc fell asleep! So we skipped bath time and put them all to bed. Even dts haven't woken up yet. Dh is asleep on my lap as I'm watching Lee Evans on bed. A wonderful Sunday.

How's everyone?

God you will be proud of me..........feeling a bit bored I came up to bed early but fancied some nuts............turned out every cupboard, even my baking drawer but not a nut in sight! Looked in fridge bingo a SNICKERS bar. Picked it up, then felt guilty as I need to lose weight, so cut it in half. Then realized one half was much bigger then the other, took a bite out of the smallest half then knew that was not going to appease me. So picked up both bits, got as far as the kitchen door and my mind said no...........so put the biggest bit back in the fridge........for tomorrow.............torture!! :o

You're so much stronger than me! I would have ate the whole bar! Snickers and palmer violets are my weakness. Think I might have to call for some in the morning! Proud of you trips!

Oh dear lord, I'm craving raspberry cheesecake... but do I want to make the trip downstairs. My excuse is I'm eating for 3 lol x

Morning ladies.

Had a lovely weekend staying with friends. But boy where the dc hard work in a not very child-friendly house and,I'd forgotten to take their box of toys. Doh! So pencils, paper and make-shift drums it was while the twins had crawling races and thankfully a couple of toys which got left in the car and the rubber ducks/sticky sea creatures from the bathroom to chomp on.

Wine and good food were consumed by us ladies while the boys were on a night out, while watching Snow White and the Huntsman. Thoroughly enjoyed the film.

Back to reality and housework today as Emily has a friend coming home from school and dh has friends coming over tonight.

mmmmm, snickers! Not sure I could have stopped at half!

hope it is sorted out soon, Mama.

DH gran looked a lot brighter yesterday, so they are still putting off an op, and ct scan not showing anything, hoping it will all pass.

I'm full of cold and feel rough! Too much rushing around at the weekend, though did manage to fit in some shopping for some lovely new clothes. Lost over 40lbs now!

Evening girls............just finished off my Snickers and forgot to say it was only one of those mini bars anyway! Had abit of an upsetting day, dh phoned from hosp at 11am and sounded terrible, said he felt sick. Managed to get over to see him at 5pm, had to leave the kids home alone! He looked awful, was being sick and looked dehydrated, seen it before with him. The nurse came and said he needs to drink more which just makes him feel more sick, so they decided to put him on iv`s for fluid. Then his pulse was too rapid so they did an ecg, then his bloods came back and he is anaemic! Felt really sorry for him. No way though is he coming home, he would if he could but its such a worry. Hope everyone else is having a better time........... xx

Hope they're feeling better soon, trips and chops

I now put on shades when I go out as this seems to stop me seeing floaters. Works at treat and I'm still waiting for my appt.

All 4 dc are up and enjoying breakfast while mama enjoys here. In about half an hour I'm attempting to shower with all 4! Wish me luck!

Enjoy your day everyone :)

The 5 way shower was crazy! Dts giggled everytime dd splashed them and tried to crawl everywhere. Ds1 pushes dd over which made her cry but after 20 minutes everyone was washing then I had a naked ds and dd running about.

About to head out and go for a walk with dc as kids seem hyper today.

Afternoon ladies.
Chops- hope aunt is a little better Envy over the wondergul weight loss and new clothes, my excuse is I couldn't afford new clothes, so I can't lose the weight Blush Blush
Trips- at least they will sort dh out before he comes home, better a few more days in hospital than coming home with those problems.
Mama- Grin at 5 way shower.

Here it has been a bit stressful. I was on call all weekend, which is always stress causing, dh has been trying to make sure the Pontiac is ready for its MOT and VOSA assessment on Friday, we are due to be at our 1st car event of the season on Sunday, so he is stressed about it passing. The problem is, despite me nagging him, he has, as usual, left it to the last minute, obviously, playing xbox has been more a priority over the past few weekends than getting his arse in gear and sorting out the car. I think that after the accident, he seems to have lost interest in his once beloved car, I hope this will be re-kindled once he starts showing again. As he is already booked for 2 proms and a wedding in june/july, he needs to sort this out.

She has been looking better, and they were on about sending her home, but it seems they jsut want to patch her up and send her home, and she has had digestive issues for years now, and I don't think it'd jsut going to go away. At least she feels a bit better in herself now.
