Shabs what year were you there in San Fran? I have a Christmas dec we bought there, I put it on the tree every year for Matthew..... wait till you see the long queue for the cable car Rubes...........gotta be done though. We stayed the first time in the Meridian Hotel, dead posh. We were on the 27th floor and I cant stand heights. I remember holding onto the basin in the bathroom as I couldnt physically keep my feet flat on the floor, felt as though I was being pulled backwards! The janitor told me the building sways 3ft it makes it more secure in a quake!! Our last night there we ate at Mammas on Geary St, dk and I had beef steak florentin, Matthew wanted a burger which wasnt on the menu..........so they minced up a steak for him, they wheeled in a trolley of desserts and I had "Death by Chocolate"..............fantastic night. Arent we lucky we have all these lovely memories stored in our heads to relive whenever we want to?

We gave our notice in at the pub we were managing in Stanmore, Middlesex and left in August 1980. We flew home in 1981 the day that Ronald Reagen became President of the USA.

The twins were born on 28th December, 1981 Grin after 3 years of trying for a baby. Certainly 'clipped our wings!!!'

Morning Girls
Rubes and Chops- green with envy hereEnvy . We reslly wsnt yo take thd boys to the States, Dh has been twice, I have been once (our honeymoon). We just haven't got the funds, and, unless a miracle happens, I csnt see it happening. We are struggling to afford a week camping at the momentSad
Trips, glad you had a nice day yesterday. Mama- hope dd is ok, and not quiet because of not being well, and look after yourself too.
Soks- hope everything is ok Wink
Bertie had hus 2 "offending organs" removed yesterday, and I have been struggling to keep him calm and quiet as per vets instructions, but he is obviously not too sore. After an evening sleeping off the anaesthetic, today he has been leaping on and off furniture, running around with Cleo, and generally vontinuing ax if nothing has been done. Stopping him is about as likely as him stopping breathing! Glad he is not in pain, but he is giving me yet more grey hairs as I have too keep checking his wound to make sure he has not popped it openConfused Blush

bubby64 · 24/04/2013 18:24

I asked DH to get some washing liquid on his way home. He came home with a bottle of Lenor, I said "why did you get fabric conditioner, not washing liquid?" he answered " isn't it the same thing?"
Fail...Grin

triplets · 24/04/2013 22:25

Just dont let him put w u liq in the washing machine then:o I cant believe we have just all been nice to each other all evening, long may it last!

MultipleMama · 24/04/2013 22:53

Evening everyone.

Bubby She's been quiet today and sleeping just as long, she hasn't a temp but she told me her tummy hurt, so she's been snuggled with a water bottle all evening. Hoping it passes. I'm looking after myself, well as much as possible.

Had a pretty good day, hope everyone else has! Night everyone!

triplets · 25/04/2013 06:26

Goodmorning everyone, birds are in full volume this morning and the bluetits have returned to my nesting box:) Keep meaning to ask you all when you log on to MN do you get that annoying delay with that yellow box at the bottom of the screen saying its a long running script? Not sure what Im up to today, be nice to go out but Im skint! Oh btw since dd was in trouble on Mon I sense a change in her attitude towards me, she is more like my girl:)

Sokmonsta · 25/04/2013 08:03

Morning ladies. So, so tired. Could sleep for a week and still need more!

We're all good here. Twins are being clingy but think its probably the jabs after affects. Jen' still has a hard lump where the needles went in and Josh' is moping around with a pink giraffe.

Have introduced the traffic light warning system for the big two. They've taken it in board and we've only just had our first red 'confiscation' for James. He explained it beautifully to dh.

bubby64 · 25/04/2013 11:32

Morning All.
Trips- about time you had some "niceness" again, long may it last.
Soks - hopefully the dts will be driving you crazy again soon, and its great the traffic light system works well. We used it here when boys were young, as it was also used at school, and everyone understood it. Pity it doesn't work with pre-teens, mind you, they would always be in the red lately, especially JBlush
Speaking of which, J started his counselling yesterday. He likes the lady, and seems willing to talk with her, but he was telling her we are always on Ms 'side' , not his, and that M usually started fightsHmm and we are always having a go at him 'for no reason' , so he has got a long way to go in recognising his problems stem from his behaviour, not everyone elses.Wink

shabbatheGreek · 25/04/2013 12:57

At least he is talking Bubbs - at that age it is hard to get a child to talk xx

triplets · 25/04/2013 14:45

Phoned the hospital this morning to try and hurry up dks apt for surgery...........da daaaaaaaaaa they just happened to have a cancellation for tomorrow so I said yes.............he is not so happy! It needs doing, he spent all day Tues in pain and I want to go to the IOW at the end of May :o

shabbatheGreek · 25/04/2013 21:32
Love these flashmob thingeymebobs Grin
MultipleMama · 25/04/2013 22:35

Evening girls, it's nice to hear things are working out. I'd reply individually but I'm exhausted.

DD has been very clingy but hasn't slept as much today, hoping she's well enough for creche tomorrow. Hated having to take her out to do the school run.
Dts are crawling everywhere I need eyes at the back of my head! Dts are still sleeping and haven't woken for a feed yet. Hoping to get a few more hours of sleep before they do.

Night everyone.

triplets · 26/04/2013 08:48

Goodmorning girls..............no Shabs? Hope everything is ok? I worry when you are not the first on here! Just getting dh ready for the hospital, he has been offered a lift but insists on going on the train, just be glad to get another lot of surgery over, this will be his 9th in 5 years!

triplets · 26/04/2013 15:01

is everything ok..............its too quiet and I am feeling lonely...

bubby64 · 26/04/2013 15:09

Hi Trips - best wishes for your DHs surgery. Thanks?

Mama- hope you are getting a little rest.

Hi everyone else (Shabs, you ok hun?, hows your dad doing?)

Rainy, cool and damp here today, but refusing to put heating back on!
Just got the date for Js surgery, 4th June, fits in nicely amoungst camp, car show, holidays and day trips. just after the bank holiday weekend.
Will be working doing on csl, tjis weekend, I just hope its not too busy.
Oh, and I'm very chuffed as Mike has passed his first music grading on his drums yesterday. Smile

Sokmonsta · 26/04/2013 15:36

Afternoon ladies.

A very clingy Joshua who is a little off his food - as in opens and eats very slowly rather than demanding more as soon as the spoon moves away! But he's having bright moments of crawling very quickly down the hall, trying to climb the stairs too so I think it just his teeth, or lack of, giving him grief. His little gummies are very hot and his bottom two teeth feel on the brink of popping through.

Otherwise we are all chirpy here. Work tried to ring at 10 to 8! 10 to 8! Bloody idiots. Needless to say I ignored my house phone so they rang mobile instead (still ignored it). Am guessing they'll ring again at bath time. Ah well. Will speak to them next week when I cba.

This weekend we are going to a friends house - the same we had to cancel when the twins were ill. The men are out for the afternoon until probably quite late so us ladies are looking forward to a peaceful afternoon of chatting, drinking tea and entertaining small people. Have for biscuit kits for the dc to bake.

shabbatheGreek · 26/04/2013 17:29

Afternoon girls xx

Im OK - just kind of hit 'the wall' today IYKWIM - beyond tired.

Morning :) Woken up again at 4.30am by the carbon monoxide detector going off, don`t know whether its faulty or it has picked something up, no gas appliances on. Went back to bed and the foxes started screaming............slept until 6.45am and that was it, I love a weekend lie in!
