Trips, same height as meee!! Grin Do you wear heels then? dh is also the same height and really dislikes me being taller than him in heels.

hmm one of my friends is the same age or thereabouts as your mum, trips. Amazingly fit though - she comes to the wholesalers with me. Helped me lift a 40kg shelf into the car! I hope I am half as fit by the time I reach her age. Anyway, she got a kindle for her last Xmas pressies - does your mum read?

I'm up very early, dh has been snoring and I thought might as well come down and get some comping done. trimmed up yesterday, so the house is all festive now! Anyone else done there's yet?

I am ignoring the hailstone that has been waking me up all night...and the fact that we have about an inch of frozen hailstone on the ground... I HATE WINTER!!

bubby64 · 05/12/2011 12:34

Now I'm lurgified! Fighting it all weekend, as it was the boys birthday, but finally had to give in yesterday evening and go to bed. Couldn't go to work to today as feeling as if I have been hit by a mack truck! Hubby commented to me that the "Carrie" look isn't good on meHmm, but has come home from work to make sure I'm ok.

largeginandtonic · 05/12/2011 12:45

No, rubes lol, the Stephen King version, greasy lank hair and White face, combine that with red runny nose and bleary eyes and you have got the picture! [csad]. Mind you, despite the sneezing, coughing and headache, sitting here wrapped in a blanket watching Christmas movies is still better than work!

shabbapinkfrog · 05/12/2011 14:43

Thursday works for me Rubester Grin 50 bleedin 5 - it was only last week when I was 17 and being dumped by the ginger pig!!

...........................evening girls, feeling slightly more human tonight, think I am on the mend. Went out today to try and do some xmas shopping, wanted stocking fillers came back with a t shirt for one of the boys and 4pts milk! Anybody got any ideas for 14yr old boys?? Just in abit of shock, had sad news last week from my American penfriend of 47yrs Shock her lovely mum died two weeks ago suddenly. Just opened up my box and another message from Karen, her brother died on Sat morning at home, its unbelievable. How strange life is..........
Becca has already trowelled on the eye make-up for tomorrows gig in London, I am trying verrrrrrrrrrrrrry hard not to say anything to her, feel as though we are always at loggerheads.
Went to the docs this morning, review meds, inc citalopram, down to 10mg every other day, feel not ready to come off completely, levels of stress here are constant.
So what is everyone up to for Christmas? I know I shouldnt be miserable but I am dreading it. Kids want a gang here on Christmas Day, everyone though is going their own thing this year which is fine by me. Dh is being shirty saying "oh why dont we forget it, Mummy doesn`t want to cook anyway" ....................bloody true after 33 years. Kids are not interested in sitting down with a roast, esp Becca, she hates trad food. So I suggested nipping over to Calais for a day when the kids break up, we have a free car ticket to use up, buy masses of prawns, cheeses, fizz and just sit and pick....................bliss, bloody bliss..................garlic mayo and crusty bread........dh said, " well I suppose that would do as a starter" Angry
