@OhMyGiddyAunt horrible. And who is encouraging such awful behaviour all the way (or at least all the way up until the bots are publicly called out), Forever Living. That caring, ethical company. The endorser of care packs and donator of deodorants. Ultimately I blame FLP for creating the financial and organisational pressure that makes nasty tactics so inevitable. However, it takes a special kind of shit to keep repeating those kind of tactics with such apparent ease. What kind of person sees an opportunity for themselves in someone else's misery?

It reminds me of the wife of the HT at my DC school when they were small. She was diagnosed with breast cancer and lots of people at school rallied round. One mum who was from the HT's previous school was really great, called her lots and arranged to come and see her which meant an hour's drive. The HT's wife told me she was at a particularly low ebb at the time and was really grateful to this woman for being prepared to put herself out and come and visit her.

However when she arrived she quickly got down to business trying to sell the HT's wife Arbonne and it became evident within ten minutes of her turning up that rather than making caring phone calls she'd been preparing the ground for what she thought could be a bit of a bonanza. It really hurt that her illness was just an opportunity. Doubly so that when the HT's wife made it clear she wouldn't be buying any Arbonne the woman was really short with her and started saying "I've come all this way FOR NOTHING". Unbelievable.

Speaking of broom cupboards, what is it about bots and confined spaces? We’ve got Yawn’s bot potty, references to pockets / nooks and crannies of time, Fierce’s caravan, Castle’s caravan, and you couldn’t swing a bot in Forever Living’s new HQ.

Maybe it's something to do with the big fish in a small pond phrase.

Do you think yawn and similar mlm-ers genuinely believe they are successful businesswomen with multiple businesses etc.? Or whether they are aware they’re not and are consciously inflating what they’ve done as a ‘necessary’ part of the grift?

An ex ‘business coach’ that was part of the pyramid scheme-esque coaching business before coming to her senses was on a podcast recently saying she thought it was just part of normal business to act excited constantly and boast about non existent wins and levels of income. She went to a real world marketing event and was shocked that normal businesspeople don’t do that at all- in fact they were complaining about how hard it was being self-employed and how they were struggling. It was one of the reasons the scales began to fall from her eyes.

I'm curious whether people like Yawn think everyone does this and it’s inevitable or whether she actually in her heart of hearts sees herself as a successful entrepreneur.

I think they have only operated in the MLM bubble and learned/ were coached to fake it till you make it, and think that’s what all businesses do

So Castle has gone and bought Smallest Turret a pony. I hope she’s got someone to do all the hard work for her and the poor pony doesn’t get moved from pillar to post once they are all bored of it.

I'm now not answering any questions on yawns numbers for fear of reprisals

@Sugarplum48 don't worry, it is confusing. I’ve had to report myself before now for accidentally mentioning a name or something, even then it’s had to be pointed out to me first! I try to use an obvious approximation of the Unlucky Suckers Club when mentioning it and try to eradicate all names or very obvious logos from screenshots of bots’ content. I’ve no idea if that’s adequate but probably best to err on the side of caution to avoid losing the thread/s.

It’s interesting to see the numbers at 69 currently in the club. Many won’t have paid and I wonder how many haven’t bothered paying for months but she keeps them there because she needs it to look like there are many active members. Then occasionally someone who stopped paying removes themselves and we see the numbers fall but actually out of the 69 only about 15 are paying every month (just a guess).

@Wintersgirl I seem to remember it was 70-80 then seemed to go up to something like 110, then started dropping from the end of her first month.

@Tupperwarelid it’s worrying isn’t it? A pony is a commitment and hard work. I imagine Mrs Senior Castle will have to put her mop and bucket down, change out of her Norland nanny outfit and pick up the nearest dandy brush and hoof pick. Castle can do the shopping bit by buying a colour coordinated head collar and lead rope and a completely unsuitable Hermès saddle for £8k and then declare that she’s exhausted from watching Mrs Senior Castle mucking out and needs to go on an expensive spa break to recover from doing feck all.
