I wonder if yawn is loanly? No real friends, husband out at work, kids working, she's unemployed and trying to fill time so wandering around your house telling yourself to have a good day is...well l don't know what it is but she clearly has too much time on her hands.

Instead of posting about pretty lights (yes, Yawn, sequins on a dress will reflect light!) she’d be better doing something about the crack in the ceiling above which presumably is directly under the mouldy thatch!

Yawn has spent the morning with Welsh[former]bot. I wonder if they discussed Yawn's tactics for pushing Welsh's herby Elastoplast (fictional celebrity connections)? I get the feeling that Welshbot's partner is less comfortable with the whiff of MLM bullshit emanating from Welsh and her old friends. Or is she a former bot as well?

Welshbot has stuck with the tried and tested MLM accountancy firm. I see no sign of the products available in a well known high street chemist either online or in physical shops (I've looked and asked; blank faces all round). They announced that their planty plasters would be stocked by the high street chemist 34 weeks ago so I am guessing they have experienced ruthless treatment by a large retailer and have been dropped (unless they are going to appear in the spring). What better way to turn things around than get Yawn on board (because she won't be visiting Welshbot on a purely social basis). What could possibly go wrong?

@Sugarplum48 that is a cracking typo: "loanly". Very apt when speaking about Yawn. You must have been looking at her Companies House accounts!

It looks like Sleaze is banned from Facebook
with only Wig posting and commenting for the last 4/5 weeks. It's a shame those two
can't be banned at the same time and cut of the oxygen supply for the pair of them together for enough weeks for their followers to give up. It wouldn't take long for the gullible to drift off into another scam (which obviously doesn't solve the wider problem).

If Wig'n'Sleaze continue down their chosen path they might well find their literal source of oxygen cut off.

Aah, so my bad day at work the other day must have been because I was walking around my office saying out loud "I'm going to have a bad day today" .
Silly me ....I really must stop doing that and then all the other departments and organisations that are completely out of my control will start doing everything the way I want them to and no more bad days.

Altogether now ...."I'm going to have a good day today"

@Twentytwentyhindsight it's always my first thought when he goes quiet. We know it's only a matter of time until Mr Big finds out he is a long way down the food chain. The only thing keeping him safe is that he is really just an errand boy and minor irritant who has no moral compass and a big ego and is therefore useful. Trouble is he is also stupid enough not to recognise his limitations. It's the last quality that will see him in concrete underpants or propping up a motorway bridge somewhere in the world one day. He can't hide in his mother's Portuguese broom cupboard forever.

she only has a tiny amount of advice to offer, in reality, which is ‘copy what I do, have a photoshoot, post a lot on social media and pretend to be successful’

I wonder why she went to see Welshbot - she’s come away inspired, she says - but at least Welshbot has an actual product to sell

@OhMyGiddyAunt I took my BiL for his fortnightly chemo this morning. Not only had he failed to announce loudly that today is going to be a good day but he's also failed to manifest abundant wellness. Fecking careless of him. He has plenty to say about toxic positivity that ignores reality and he feels he has a free pass to bite back at the Yawns of this world when he asks them were they think he went wrong seen as he's terminally ill. I suppose Yawn would dismiss him as a troll.

@Spongebobette I think she knows the Poundland New Age stuff with beams of light and wands is not credible even among the most gullible. She has been shifting towards the six figure success persona since Christmas since discovering that not only does The Simple Good Life not pay her bills but also it doesn't attract others wanting to escape The Simple Good Life for a cupboard full of Michael Kors handbags, a large mortgage and a leased luxury car.

I expect she wants to offer to coach Welsh bot for free to try and borrow a bit of the Herby Plaster Company's profile. Is Welsh bot stupid enough to let Yawn attach herself to her new patch business? If Welsh bot isn't just holding her at polite arms length then there is some faulty decision making going on and The Herby Plaster Company is doomed.

she obviously had nothing better to do with her time - lunch at a garden centre either her mum and dog walking isn’t keeping her busy

It’s about 3 hours in the car and I suspect she was hoping for something to come out of the meeting …..

@YouOKHun sorry to hear that your BiL is going through chemo. I can't imagine what it must be like for him (and you) to hear bullshit like that spouted by Yawn.

How would she feel if people started using that toxic positivity crap back at her if it were her nearest and dearest going through cancer treatment? Would she change her tune about manifestation then?

I'm sure you're right about staking a claim in the Herby Plaster company @Spongebobette. I can just see Yawn saying,

"my client was struggling to get her brilliant plaster company off the ground so we went to Starbucks and got out our pastel coloured stationery. It's such a brilliant idea that I think I probably came up with it, but I'm so generous that I've let her have the idea. Thanks to the coaching memes I shared with her she is now a success and it's all thanks to me. None of them could have done it without me. The company is thriving and it's all down to me because I'm such a talented brilliant person but what I like most about me is that I am so modest".

Thanks @OhMyGiddyAunt. As it happens before he got his cancer diagnosis he was (and still is) a wheelchair user. He says that using a wheelchair makes you a target for approaches from alternative practitioners, wellness loons, assorted crackpots and bots. They seem to think that not having the use of your legs means you don't have the use of your brain either.

As it happens he is/was a litigation specialist dealing with/helping individuals' fights against tobacco giants, so he not only has an attention to minute detail in what is written and said but he also knows a thing or two about false claims and disclaimers when it comes health outcomes. He is also not afraid to say what he thinks and a bit holding a carton of Aloe Vera is not much of an adversary, as the Doterra bot and the Forever Living bot discovered when they made a direct approach to him (on separate occasions some years ago).

But you're right, when the Yawns of this world are wheeling out their "just be positive" guff they should consider who might be in their paying audience. Could the instruction to just be happy be the final straw for someone? When something bad happens to her (and I sincerely hope it doesn't) how receptive will she be to the idea that she just needs to announce that all is well in her world and manifest the positive right away? Going by her lack of robustness to any kind of obstacle I'm guessing she won't be able walk the talk.

Now come on, give them credit, they built a latrine too!

@PieonaBarm when Sleaze was pictured standing in his windowless and doorless 3D printed solitary confinement cell it was perhaps the happiest moment in my antiMLM life. I'm just sorry that someone cleverer than him came along and explained to him that because he hadn't printed a roof there was a way out.

When I first came to these threads it was around the time that I discovered that I "knew" Roomie - she was a mum from school. I was so horrified and so fucking angry when I realised that she had recruited another school mum whose DH had cancer and was very ill at the time.

Whereas other school Mum's were rallying around trying to help out the family by giving lifts and preparing some meals for them, Roomie (no doubt with Yawn behind her at the time) saw the opportunity to present her amaaaazing bizniss opportunity 😡
