PIP

Hi. New to the forum and PIP and am hoping some of the forum members can help me understand the claim process a little better, I applied for PIP in early December 2022. DWP told me that Capita had received my forms on December 9th. But i have not had a phone assessment scheduled yet. So i called Capita just to make sure everything was fine with my claim. They told me this morning that my claim "is in initial review" and that they "are requesting info from my medical contacts so they can do a Paper assessment". Is this a good/bad sign that my claim will be successful?

that matches the assessor report, so the DM must have agreed.

mammaov3 · 06/04/2023 11:49

The assessor scored me 15 daily living 18 mobility weather DM will agree i don't know.

Oh fingers crossed for you. Even if they were to drop a couple of points here and there you will probably get enhanced rate for both.

mammaov3 · 06/04/2023 11:57

@lsanny Thank you i am currently on standard witch i am grateful for and i will be happy if they just keep me on that although since i was awarded standard in 2018 my health has deteriorated dramatically with a number of new health conditions witch needs me to need alot more care of people witch makes sense why i got more points from the assessor this time.

xxAmy · 06/04/2023 12:30

TheShellBeach · 06/04/2023 15:19

mrsfeatherbottom · 06/04/2023 15:08

Carer's allowance? Really?

Yes, now you're getting Standard Rate of Daily Living PIP.
Apply online.

Babyroobs · 06/04/2023 15:50

mrsfeatherbottom · 06/04/2023 15:08

Carer's allowance? Really?

If someone is providing 35 hours of care to you per week and they do not earn over £139 a week.

Babyroobs · 06/04/2023 15:51

mrsfeatherbottom · 06/04/2023 15:08

Carer's allowance? Really?

It needs to be the person caring for you that claims, not you and depending what other benefits you claim you need to be careful that someone claiming carers allowance for you does not affect your benefits.
