Telus used to be called Lionbridge and to be honest- I'd completely forgotten about them. I did a couple of projects- social media evaluator which was like N*e on Appn. They are very prompt payers- I seem to recall weekly on the project I was on

tantdequestions · 14/11/2023 19:47

Hellleeeeew,

I used to be on this thread and in total made approx £4k. It was during the days of a £10 a day task for a quick survey. Then there was various voice command tasks which were well paid.

Things dried up tho and I found myself with less time. I eventually got accepted for crisp and then realised I didn't have the time. Going to join in again to see if I can make some pennies.

SomersetDreams · 15/11/2023 03:04

Roamler I feel is the best earner out of these lot. I have been doing tasks etc since 2020 after finding this thread.
I made 4k one year and about 3k another. So for a side hustle that is fairly good. Most jobs are easy and can be done when out or shopping. I'd say its worth carying on even if you dont like the tasks or feel its too much. The better paid jobs come along, esp at Xmas, and it is worth it if you need the extra cash.

Only downside: no petrol paid. But I did a lot of jobs walking around a town eg. you choose one town and do that for 1 day, then another local town and so on.

Tried Crisp for a few month and got headache. Also I dont think its too healthy some of the images you see. I know that is the job, moderating, but wth Roamler you are meeting people and are a Product Auditor (not Mystery SHopper) its a good way to boost CV if you are having a 'sabbatical/ break' or looking for work.
Its also good for health and mental health to get out even a few days and meet new people (if you are in limbo jobwise in the real world, this job keeps you kind of in the loop and you an add whatever you like to your CV, you are the Boss) - managers, supermarket staff etc maye different to who you usually see but in a work setting. I dont consider it work as mostly its enjoyable, you are your own boss and the chat support is very good, helpful and quick at solving any issues and are also kind to Roamlers.

Disclaimer: They didnt pay me to write this :)

So after nearly 3 years (after getting the ifo from this thread) it has been a good earner and experience.

Others I enjoy Neevo, Prolific was a good earner but now is popular with the waiting list.

Hope someone finds this info useful can get going doing some jobs and not feel down or negative if yu are waiting to find another 'proper job'. Good luck

WhatYouWearing · 15/11/2023 06:55

Anyone had an email from App accusing them of 'hoarding' jobs? I haven't had any work for months from them so it's a bit insulting Grin

MysteryShopper1980 · 15/11/2023 07:12

Now now Somerset stop telling porkies. Roamler is not the best earner and I really don’t understand your obsession with it. There is no way you earned 4k from it in 2020 and 3k the year after. 2020 was the pandemic year and all mystery shopping apps ceased activity for a long time then on their return slashed their rewards per task by 50 percent. It has never recovered and tasks still pay a pittance. Roamler, shepper, Bemyeye, field agent, are all mystery shopping apps no matter how you dress it up and were all good money spinners back in the day. Not any more and it’s really cringe watching you plug Roamler like it’s the best thing out there. Prove me wrong and post your yearly, monthly stats from 2020

Fiddie · 15/11/2023 08:17

Roamler was absolutely dog shit when I did it Grin

cailingaelach · 15/11/2023 09:30

I got my potato statement yesterday.

YonderTweek · 15/11/2023 11:04

I got that task hoarding email yesterday and it pissed me right off. The tone was just rude. The subsequent "apology" email later on was also a bit on the feeble side. Pfft.

justalittlebitextra · 15/11/2023 11:52

I saw a couple of people moaning about the email from Ap on Social yesterday - I didn't get it as I am actually on that project, but have never received baseline access so never had any work.

I'm so over Ap at the moment anyway - no bloody work and I haven't been paid yet this month yet as it is still showing as 'pending' in Payoneer which has never happened before! I finally got onto Am.r but have had to decline this month unti my Payoneer is sorted out as I just can't risk not being reimbursed if Payoneer are going to stary playing silly buggers.

Februarycat · 15/11/2023 14:13

@justalittlebitextra I got paid from Appen this week and Payoneer took 29 usd fee so ended up with hardly anything and can't cash out until 50 usd which I knew about but still annoying.

ruralwanderer · 15/11/2023 15:39

I never had any success with any of the mystery shopping apps. Perhaps people who live in London or other big cities stand a better chance of making money but it's certainly not designed for us rural wanderers Wink

OP posts:
Octopus45 · 15/11/2023 15:46

@ruralwanderer I think it does make a difference where you live. I go into London to do other work so far which helps. I haven't earned much from it in recent times, but it is an app I've consistently used since 2014.

I've received my apology email now. The apology should have been at the top of the email. Just rude.

LauraMarie2382 · 15/11/2023 22:10

I applied for DA 18 days ago and heard nothing until today. They have offered me two coding assessments. The bad news is that I don't know how to code so will have to wait and hope they offer other assessments. Of course they are saying 'At the moment, there aren't any projects available for you to work on. Please check back soon and watch out for new project notifications sent to your email'.

In your experience do they then start offering new projects or is it unlikely I will ever get any work unless I learn how to code.

Sookie53 · 15/11/2023 22:33

@LauraMarie2382 I had something similar when I first started, and I can't code. Can you open them and say you can't do them? I know there was one recently where it asked if you had a particular skill and I said no, but eventually there were assessments available that I could do so hopefully you'll get something soon.

LauraMarie2382 · 15/11/2023 22:37

@Sookie53 I will try and skip them. There is no point pretending I can do them and trying to claim for them as it will make my account in bad standing. When did you start working at DA?

Sookie53 · 15/11/2023 22:47

@LauraMarie2382 no, I definitely wouldn't pretend to have skills. I started in June, I think someone mentioned it on here around that time and I thought I'd give it a go. Very happy so far. There was a period over the summer where there was no work available at all and I was a bit disheartened, but gradually there's been more and more. So much better than Appen.

LolaMontezz · 16/11/2023 16:22

Hello folks,

I just happened to log into my old trading 212 account and I still have some of the free shares links. Can confirm they are legit and cash outs have always been successful for me, my first one was nearly £80 for just signing up and depositing (I think it was a quid from memory). They're worth a punt, let me know if anyone wants a link ✨
Might also have some on Freetrade - will check 😁

LauraMarie2382 · 16/11/2023 19:01

@LolaMontezz I'd like a link. Just hope they have not expired. What's the minimum withdrawal amount?

LolaMontezz · 16/11/2023 19:12

I don't believe there is one @LauraMarie2382 but I'd have to double check. I'll send you one via pm if you like Smile

Bobsyouruncleand · 16/11/2023 22:47

Hi, I’d love a link please @LolaMontezz

Thanks for your kind words lol I thought we are all on the same side. Anyway people can take ifo and see what works best for them.

I did earn those figures and dont have to prove it.

App work is a good side hustle and not to replace a main job that can cover most bills.

I work for Jaguar now and drive a lovely comfotable car :)

GOod luck all

Fully agree @SomersetDreams, also people have such different experiences. If you have had a positive one, surely there's nothing wrong with that. Great car by the way
