Pls pls can someone hold my hand with this?

I need extra income of maybe £400 a week or £300 per week
Is this possible? Pls
How do I start?
What do I do pls

Join the waiting list for Prolific:
https://app.prolific.com/register/participant

And then register for DataAnnotation and uTest.

But if you need that sort of money regularly then I suggest you find proper employment somewhere. This is all very hit-and-miss, and you are self employed. Projects and companies come and go.

@MrsWombat

Thanks for the info
And I know I need a job for that type of income. I had a job for that amount but lost it last week and looking for a job as we speak but need and looking into this option too while looking

ruralwanderer · 08/11/2023 11:29

@crazywo, I don't think you'll be able to make that sort of money straight off on this type of work. Even with the better paying companies, it takes time to become established and to access higher paying work.

Are you claiming for everything that you are entitled to and are you actively seeking work? We're about to hit prime time for people willing to work in hospitality and retail as the seasonal rush will soon begin. Even Royal Mail offer Christmas positions which could help tide you over for a month or two.

If you were unfairly dismissed from your last job, you may be able to raise a claim against them - info on this link: https://www.acas.org.uk/dismissals/unfair-dismissal

If you drive and are willing to increase your insurance to cover business use, you could look into becoming a freelance courier for Amazon or Evri. This would give you the flexibility that retail and hospitality couldn't but the income isn't guaranteed (though again, this is probably their busiest time of the year).

Good luck! Flowers

Hi all, I tried DA and got the 'If we need your skills we'll be in touch message come up. Is this a rejection? I was absolutely meticulous so thought I had a decent chance :( Although as it was instant, they wouldn' t have even had a chance to look at it yet.

I got this too, and I was also meticulous with my answers. I have been working as a freelance copywriter for the past 10 years+ so I'm pretty confident that my answers were solid. AI has hit the copywriting industry hard so I could do with another income stream - I was really disappointed not to hear anything from DA. And it may sound arrogant, but I was a bit surprised too as I always get really top-notch feedback for the quality of my writing.

Kicking myself for not applying sooner.

Same here! I write for a living and I thought my application was very solid.

The only thing I don't undrrstand is that message appeared the second I clicked submit. So are they auto-rejecting people now as it's not possible they've got a human to review it in a milisecond?

Unless AI is reviewing it!

Such a shame as I'm in need of some extra work to supplement my income and this looked ideal.

When did you do your assessments? I did mine 12/13 days ago and apparently they are still reviewing my answers, so I'm assuming I did not get automatic rejection. I too wish I had applied sooner as my website earnings are dropping massively and I don't have the motivation to fix them.

ilikeeggs · 10/11/2023 07:44

I applied to DA months ago but never heard anything more 🙁

Februarycat · 10/11/2023 08:01

I applied weeks ago and just got the message we will be in touch if we need your skills so guessing I have not got in.

BecauseOfIndia · 10/11/2023 08:08

@Bythestrikeofthenight I think it is an automatic rejection. I've worked out that you get scored as you go along and this is the amount you 'earn', so I think that if you earn under a certain amount in the assessment you are automatically out. So, What was your final earnings?

I got around $30, but a friend of mine got $24 and she instantly got the 'If we need your skills...' page.

After my assessment I had a different page for a few days saying something about 'Get ready to earn lots of money', or something, and then after 3 days I got a welcome email.

It didn't show me as earning anything :(

For the person who asked, I only applied last night.

AdaShelby · 10/11/2023 08:38

I think DA are just swamped. At least they didn't do what Crisp did and take on loads of new people which just fucked off all the experienced staff.

BecauseOfIndia · 10/11/2023 08:39

@Bythestrikeofthenight I see, that's the very first part. After that you usually get a couple of paid assessents and for me they came up instantly after I'd finished the entry qualification. If you score low on them you don't seem to get any work.

It's possible then they are snowed under - I wouldn't lose hope! Just keep checking the page, I'm sure you'll get the assessments soon.

I got $30 for the paid assessments 2 weeks ago and it says get ready to earn lots of money. I think most people hear either way within two weeks so clearly they are swamped with signups and they can be picky with who they choose.

GachaBread · 12/11/2023 09:35

Interesting to see DA is recruiting on Indeed. The ad was posted 3 days ago.

LauraMarie2382 · 12/11/2023 18:29

That is interesting considering lots of us applied and got no work.

bramblebug · 12/11/2023 22:35

Is it bad I'm a little suspicious that they use data from a lot of the starter assessments with no intention of giving work?

SomersetDreams · 13/11/2023 11:14

https://www.clickworker.com/

I made 88 euro on Clickworker doing easy tasks where you say which voie you prefer. There are tasks at 6 euro and also ones at lower amount.
There seem to be a lot of work where you upload videos of yourself taking several selfies or exercises, entering through a door with face covered so AI can learn etc....they seem to ask for a lot of females to do these, yes well, however, i am sure the task is ok and go for it if you dont mind them using your image. I havent had any issues, i did a eye tracker test and no problems with internet security etc
They have other tasks and a variety, not big bucks but steady work.
Has anyone done the video tasks just out of interest?

https://www.helionresearch.com/en/mystery_shoppers

Oh and Helion Research seems quite good. I made about 100 euro from 3 jobs and one where you get about 12 quid of free petrol at Total Energies garage. There are a lot of those I think so it might be worth it for some of you.

Also one where you go to a local opticians and pretend you want to buy a pair of Chanel eye glasses. Fun and then you fill in the survey when you get back. Its quite easy and you can do these hen out and about.

BUT They pay a month later though!

Good luck to all with whatever you end up working on

Mystery Dining seems also good, free meals. Not done that. I meant to but was busy with the other apps work.

https://www.mysterydining.net/

Ipsos also. https://www.ishopforipsos.com/en_GB/

Some of these and pther sites I think can offer around 20/30 40 quid and might be better to do. Has anyone done these, it would be interesting to get feedback about how it went?
Thanks

I have a referral code for Ipsos Iris panel if anyone is interested.
It involves having a VPN installed on your device and you can earn £5 - £10 worth of points every month and £20 when you sign up.

Any potato people had their statement yet?

wited · 14/11/2023 17:22

Anyone here done any work for Telus? They've got a few jobs that sound okay at the moment but I've not heard of them before. Are they like Appen?
