I've just done the second task. I'm hoping it doesn't take too long to be approved.

I heard it can take 2 days to be approved, so hopefully Monday/Tuesday we hear something. Did you get any wrong? I did but was prompted to correct before moving on.

cupcakes12blossom · 29/10/2023 14:02

@LauraMarie2382 I think I got two wrong where I had to be prompted! I'm wondering how creative I was in the AI conversations. I think my explanations were OK, so fingers crossed.

I hope we both get accepted soon!

I will let you know if I hear something soon.

I just applied to DA too - been meaning to do it for a while but thought I should submit an application now in case it closes due to a flood of new people!

I think I did OK, but all I got was this message - nothing else appeared. I didn't get any prompts to change my answers so I assume I got them all right? I'm really hoping that I'm not too late to join....I'm wondering if they're now rammed with users so that's why no tasks are appearing...

Some people on Reddit haven't heard back after 3/4 weeks. I think they might be very busy

Octopus45 · 29/10/2023 22:11

Hi, does DA refer to data annotation. Just wanted to check, I signed up and did a test last week but haven't heard yet.

My normal work is merchandising/price checking, I'm self-employed, but I'm going to be off work for three weeks soon cause I've got to have surgery and I've also got to have radiotherapy in the new year and I'm not sure what that will mean in terms of needing time off.

Having a bit of a panic cause I've exhausted a lot of online earning options over the years, used to do CT, did matched betting till I got gubbed by loads of the bookies, the only survey site which I find any good is Prolific, never had any look with selling. I did try and get into copywriting and voiceover (did some courses), but no real joy. I did do some freelance writing work which I didn't enjoy tbh. Feel as if I've been through all the options, any additional ideas would be welcomed.

Fiddie · 31/10/2023 10:08

My two tasks have been approved and the money is available but nothing saying I've passed DA yet. I'm quite keen on that one so hope to hear soon.

cupcakes12blossom · 31/10/2023 10:32

I’m the same - two tasks approved and nothing to say I’ve passed. I’ll cash out now though..keeping my fingers crossed

LauraMarie2382 · 31/10/2023 11:15

I did my two tasks on Sat night and they were approved in the last hour. Wondering if I should cash out or leave the money for a bit. Surely they would not have approved the tasks if we had not passed. Maybe they have too many people on file but from what I hear if you get in there seems to be unlimited work so must be enough to go around.

Wakk · 31/10/2023 14:39

My DA dashboard has changed to say thanks they'll email me if they need my skills. So I mustn't have passed. Bugger.

They may still email you. When did you do your two tasks?

Wakk · 31/10/2023 16:07

On Saturday, I thought that was a thanks but no thanks type message

Maybe they don't have anything that suits your skills right now but they may in the future. I did mine on Saturday night so maybe I might hear in next day or so.

Did that message appear after 'up next we review your results. If you pass we'll email you'?

Wakk · 31/10/2023 16:18

Yes that one saying they're reviewing it has gone and it just says if we need you blah blah.

LauraMarie2382 · 31/10/2023 16:21

Good luck, I hope they do get back to you and offer something soon.

cupcakes12blossom · 31/10/2023 17:02

I've just cashed out for the tests. Better than nothing I guess, but I really need to increase my income soon.

Thanks, you too. It sounded like a good earner

Baby89 · 31/10/2023 22:33

Hi all , how do I access the work on data annotation ? Do I do tests ? Where do I find them ? Thanks

If you've signed up the initial assessment should be showing.

LauraMarie2382 · 01/11/2023 11:02

I've noticed in the URL for Data Annotation it says onboarding at the end, does this mean I've got in and tasks will be available shortly?

Octopus45 · 01/11/2023 12:46

When I logged in, I got a message saying that I would receive an email if any suitable work came up. Nevermind.

bramblebug · 01/11/2023 16:21

What sort of skills and experience are people getting into DataAnnotation with? I'm wondering if I'm supposed to add more information and detail to showcase mine or not. In the section for skills and background, should it be filled in like a cover letter or full CV details?

Sookie53 · 01/11/2023 22:47

@bramblebug I didn't write it as a cover letter or CV. Just put whatever you do for work, any courses you've done, anything you think might be relevant. They need people with knowledge in all sorts of different areas. I did an OU degree so listed a few of the courses I did for that, plus what I currently do for a job.

I have just had this message come up too. Have you had any emails from them? Not sure I put enough information in but I can't really remember, probably doesn't help that I completed it at 3am while my 11week old was refusing to go back to sleep 🤦‍♀️

Wakk · 02/11/2023 09:13

@HoneyPea I think it means we've failed from reading Reddit, but it might be a case that they've had that many applications that they aren't taking anyone on. Although PP looks hopeful with the /onboarding so maybe we just flunked it Grin
