I have just registered for Intellizoom, does anyone know any other companies similar to this one?

User Testing is very similar to Intellizoom - they pay slightly more ($10 for most studies) and offer a lot more opportunities (though I get screened out of the vast majority). I have the tab open on my laptop and keep an eye on the app as well.

Never had any problems getting paid. It's one of my favourite earners.

Trolltrotters · 04/11/2022 14:03

Hi everyone and thank you for this new thread Smile

I lurked on the previous thread and this month I've put a lot of effort into signing up to stuff. Lots of waiting lists I'm afraid. Intellizoom - £1.70 earnings this month, like others have said, either full or screened out.

I have also bid on a few projects on freelancer but I'm dubious about these. They feel 'scammy' what does everyone else think about freelancer? Has it been productive for anyone?

Aside from that, I earned a little bit as a covid-vaccinator but I suspect that will draw to a end, certainly after Christmas. I've also applied for school exam invigilating and have an interview next week hoping that'll prove fruitful

Trolltrotters · 04/11/2022 14:06

Also meant to add, the training required for things like Appen for website evaluation are fairly long and onerous. I have tried with these as the return is relatively high (£14 ph) could I ask if anyone else works through appen in this way? Is it worth putting in several hours/days of learning? TIA

MustBeDueSomeBetterFeet · 04/11/2022 17:08

I've not been on this thread before but came across it in Active. Just wondering if I might suggest something?

I'm a panellist on Mindprober which is a market research company. They send you a sensor which you wear on your hand whilst watching various TV programmes (typically sports but I've also done Portrait Artist of the Year recently) and usually pay £20 - £30 for doing so (which I've received in Amazon vouchers so far). You have to connect the sensor with an app on your smartphone which monitors your reactions, and you can also flag parts of a programme you're particularly liking or disliking. They are quite clear on what timeframes you need to commit to for the programme itself (ie something the build up to a sporting event is required), and you can pause during the programme for the loo, and each month they send a list of possible sessions coming up for you to decide what you want to participate in.

This is the link (hope it works) they've sent me to share, if anyone fancies it: www.mindproberlabs.com/become-a-panelist/

ruralwanderer · 04/11/2022 17:34

@Trolltrotters exam invigilating is a good call. I do a bit of it during the summer term and enjoy it. It's pretty easy work and not badly paid, plus there is usually a fair bit of flexibility so you can find shifts that suit you. Good luck with the interview!

@MustBeDueSomeBetterFeet that sounds great, thanks for sharing and welcome to the thread! Grin

How do you sign up to be an invigilator?

Trolltrotters · 04/11/2022 20:02

@QueenConsort I checked the pages of my local high school/college to see who was advertising posts and applied.

Thanks for the new thread

Just marking my place on this thread. I'll be going on maternity leave next year so hoping to pick up some work to tide me over when my income drops a bit. Used to do surveys and some appen projects 2020/2021 but stopped when I started a new job last year. Hoping to try and pick it back up again.

I've managed to pick up three Potato pay per hour shifts for next week which I'm delighted with and have a nice trickle of S Sci briefs to write as well so this month is looking up already. Hope everyone else is doing well!

I did 20 minutes PPI work on Potatoes last night for a measly £1.70 which has reinforced that it's only worth doing on a shift or when there's a surge.

That's shocking. Way less than minimum wage and no doubt you'll get a shitty email telling you you've made a mistake and warning you to never ever do it again Grin

@ruralwanderer thank you, I've been away for a couple of days so going to get back into again today with Crisp. I don't have access to shifts but I can do the new mod2 stuff so going to try and get a few slots this wk if any come up. I've earned over £500 for October and same for September so hoping to do the same this month.

Coffeaddict · 06/11/2022 21:55

Following started mat leave on Friday so any extra money would be amazing right now

UnicornPaintedOrnament · 08/11/2022 08:27

Anyone else struggling with prolific? I've got over £10 waiting to be approved, some going as far back as September but nothing seems to be being approved. It's so frustrating.

Worked out Appen, just got to work out how i get paid now, I've set up Payoneer but I also have paypal, but can't see on Appen how i connect these.

othellooo · 08/11/2022 08:44

I joined Appen and attempted the only job that was on there. I felt I was out of my depth entirely and quit after a few attempts. I'm degree educated but I work in a practical job and haven't studied for many years. This job has been the only one that's come up in a week so feeling a bit disheartened

PurpleFrog · 08/11/2022 10:04

@UnicornPaintedOrnament I have only been doing studies in Prolific since June, but I have never had a problem with any payments taking over the 22 days they state to be approved. Are you sure that your browser is showing you the up-to-date info? Have you logged out and in again. (But then, I suppose you would have had the emails to say you had been paid.). I would contact them and ask about it.

MarigoldMoonStone · 08/11/2022 22:32

Anyone get on A**r this month?I had a really good month last month, and all reviews done but didn't get picked this time :(

lem0njelly · 09/11/2022 10:00

I'm still on Telus and doing ok although i'm limited by my main job, I'd love to do more hours but have no time. I try and do two hours a day.
Prolific comes and goes and I get about £60 a month from that.
I've done a couple of Appen projects (a one off speech one that hasn't paid yet) but Appen is very hit and miss.

lem0njelly · 09/11/2022 10:01

Although frustrated with the interesting looking Proflics that pay quite well, that pop up with one place and you know you have no chance of getting it 😂

StillBreathingjust · 09/11/2022 16:45

Question re Am..r - if the site is clearly a Chinese crap site, do people skip these and if so, what justification do you use? (I'm a regular, just name changed and cba to alter it).

Orangesandlemons77 · 09/11/2022 16:57

Hi, thanks for the new thread. I sometimes browse these for ideas.

Just in case anyone wants a bit of extra cash, my bank (Co-op bank) is doing a friend swap offer where they credit us both with £125. Unlimited 'friends'

Please PM me if you fancy doing this - you need my account info for the online form- they will change your direct debits etc automatically and they even pay you a little each month for having an account with money paid in / direct debits etc.

I find their online banking good and easy to use, their customer service is also good and they are an ethical bank as well.
