Thanks. That's really helpful. I want to warn fellow users about American market research websites. The USA does have the same strict rules about data protection as the U.K. or E.U so use them at your own risk.

Wakk · 02/11/2023 09:13

@HoneyPea I think it means we've failed from reading Reddit, but it might be a case that they've had that many applications that they aren't taking anyone on. Although PP looks hopeful with the /onboarding so maybe we just flunked it Grin

Oh well, I'll just have to stick to Prolific then

BatFack · 02/11/2023 12:10

Thanks for the recommendation for DA. The qualifiers are very generously paid which is refreshing. There's no point at all trying to fudge your skillset, they likely want a variety.

I have just had this message come up too. Have you had any emails from them? Not sure I put enough information in but I can't really remember, probably doesn't help that I completed it at 3am while my 11week old was refusing to go back to sleep 🤦‍♀️

Did you also apply on Saturday? I applied on Saturday evening but still no change on my dashboard as yet.

animalcrossingfan2021 · 02/11/2023 19:51

Hi
Has anyone done the Webull free shares offer? I have just signed up and received 20 free shares worth £60. I have posted a step by step guide on how to complete the sign up process on promotion codes & bargains but can post on here too if anyone is interested 😀

HoneyPea · 02/11/2023 20:06

@LauraMarie2382 TBH I'm not even sure when I applied 🤦‍♀️ I'm sure it's been less than a week though

animalcrossingfan2021 · 02/11/2023 20:13

@User236792 I have read the reviews but I know of several people who have used them and received and cashed out free shares with no problems.

DollyPlastic · 03/11/2023 07:18

I have some free shares to give away on trading212 which is definitely legit. I started my account years ago with a free share someone on here gave me which was worth £75 (AstraZeneca)

PM me if you want one. I have 5 to share.

MrsWombat · 03/11/2023 07:24

DA will only let you cash out once every 3 days, so bear that in mind once you start getting regular work. I've set myself a target of $130 a week which works out at £100 a week (using the Paypal currency converter) and I'm going to cash out every Friday morning and Monday afternoon until the next payday or they throw me off or run out of work then every Friday. I've made myself a spreadsheet to track it. Fingers crossed this goes ok. I've just started YNAB for budget tracking so getting some money in weekly is going to help me big time.

I put my CV and LinkedIn profile on my application. Not sure if that helped me get a place or not. 🤔

MrsWombat · 03/11/2023 07:43

Grrrr. DA have just changed it to a $10 withdrawal limit too. Not the end of the world.

cupcakes12blossom · 03/11/2023 07:55

I didn't get into DA either - I got the message:

"If we have need of your particular skills, or we have additional assessments for you to identify further skills, you’ll be notified via email. Otherwise we thank you for your time."

Mine said onboarding for a little while.

Oh well, I'll just have to get a lodger!

Sorry you didn't get in. I think I won't either. I reckon they have too many people now. Maybe if their workers leave they will take on new people.

DuckBushCityLimit · 03/11/2023 12:05

Had a go at DataAnnotation last night thanks to this thread. Got to the two qualification tests, although the second one just kind of stopped with no indication of if I'd actually finished or not. Now just waiting to see if I get through. I've previously done pretty well the past few years with a long-term project on Appen, but its been less reliable lately so I'm looking around to see what else is out there.

Would anybody be interested in an invite to Roamler? It's a mystery shopping type app - doing a search I think it's been mentioned here before but not for a while. I've been using it for a couple of months and have been making about £10 a week from it, so not big bucks but I'm fairly picky about the tasks I do and generally just pick up very local ones where I'd be going to the shops anyway. Full disclosure: I'd get £2 per sign up and I've got six invites to give out.

SomersetDreams · 04/11/2023 09:22

Has anyone tried Testapic?

sarahh96 · 04/11/2023 09:57

@SomersetDreams I'd be interested to know if anyone is on that too. Looks interesting but Trustpilot reviews are dire

Gatekeeper · 05/11/2023 19:43

an absolute corker here. I applied for Cri*p feb 2020, passed the test and was put on a waiting list. Nov 2023 and I have just recieved an invitation to officially join etc. No interest now however judging by what people have written on here!

ruralwanderer · 06/11/2023 06:57

@Gatekeeper they must have had a mass exodus of people. I left before they became as awful as they are now but recent reports of their people skills and poor pay would certainly put me off re-joining.

@Gatekeeper
You've definitely dodged a bullet. I slogged away for about 3 years for peanuts only to be treated appallingly. It's only now I can see how much time I wasted sat there.

Mummyof32020 · 06/11/2023 11:07

Could I be invited if you have any invites left please x

Mummyof32020 · 06/11/2023 11:11

Yes I have although when I signed up it was half of the joining offer they've got on now but its definitely legit I sold the shares then withdrew the money to my bank easily.

LauraMarie2382 · 06/11/2023 20:19

Well looks like I'm not getting into Data Annotation. I did the assessments 9 days ago and nothing since. Has anyone got in recently?

Same for me for 7 years, terrible morals they have as a company, luckily I was able to tell them exactly what I thought of their shoddy ways when I left - from what I hear nowts changed in fact has got much worse 😐
