@Gatekeeper I applied for Ja a while ago but haven't been asked to complete the quiz yet. Had a strange request yesterday related to it, asking me to undertake a transcription test. To be honest I'm losing the love for Appen at the moment, my big project has had very little work on the last few weeks and I'm finding it hard to motivate myself to even go on there. Also I feel that by not working it I'm losing confidence in my ability to do the tasks accurately @8dpwoah I feel your pain with Y

Grr. Is anyone else not finding any work at the moment? I was pleased to have a chilled out January and I did a bit of work last month, but March has been dire again. It would be lovely to bring some money in but Ap is pretty empty for me at the moment and I can't seem to find anything worthwhile to do. I'm even considering joining survey sites again to bring a few quid in.

@Buster27, yes Yn been very slow this week. It is stressing me out trying to get in my 10 hours every week.
@8dpwoah, I am with you re Yn. It's the most stressful project I've ever done. The trying to get 10 hours is stressful. Plus I'm still quite slow. Also the constant reviews and not knowing where you've gone wrong in some of the tasks. I would love to be able to have a live video session every month where someone explains the answers. Would be very helphul I think. I'm going to stick with it though as I need the money. I have LB too but not sure for how much longer as I rarely do that either as they don't seem to enforce the 10 hour minimum think. Plus I had an email to log on and sign my contract renewal online except I can't find where the contract is and I've searched everywhere. I need to sign by Monday apparently if I want to stay. I've emailed them but holidays there due to St Patrick's day.

@Catatemyhomework I haven't even hit 10 hours the last couple of weeks, just wasn't enough work at the times I was available. Didn't receive any warnings so assume it was quiet enough that they didn't enforce the hours, but not so good for earning money!

Totally get people feeling stressed about Y*n.. I felt like that at the beginning (partly because I'd put pressure on myself not to mess it up as from what I'd read it was a bit of a magical project being long term with plenty of work) until my first review was crap. Then I assumed I'd get kicked off before long anyway so stopped caring as much and thought I'd just make some money while I could. My next review was actually good even though I probably put in less effort! I've had everything from unacceptable to perfect since so I take the reviews with a pinch of salt. Ideally I'll get more consistent and stay on long term, but I just see it as another project now so it doesn't stress me. It's not my main earner now though, maybe I'd feel differently if it was.

@Buster27, that is a really good view to take. I think I will try that too. Also good to know you don't get told off if the work is not always readily available at the times you can work. I stayed up till 2am this morning and did 4 hours to hit my 19. Helped by the fact that most of it was headphones! 😂
My reviews have been a mixed bag too. Never had perfect. Had excellent once, but mostly meets expectations and one substandard and one unacceptable. I still find that email terrifying though! 😱

I've got Ne at the moment on Ap* and that is about it. There doesn't seem to be anything else coming up much.

@Catatemyhomework Would have been very impressed if you'd managed 19 this week I've mostly had ME too. The whole set up is a bit intense compared to other projects I think but the long-timers on the chat give me hope it works out for some people!

@Buster27, yes the long-timers give me hope too. They must have started somewhere and some of them are really helpful too. 😊 I could probably do with doing more prep work though, like academies, etc. Would definitely help I'm sure! 😂

I like that view @Buster27 I'll do my best til they boot me. I do think they know damn well that there is a queue of people to replace anybody that isn't wired into the guidelines that are concrete and absolute, until they aren't... I've worked in a few industries and I've never been in one where it would be ok to slate somebody's work without giving them decent detail as to what the issue was and how to improve (other than go and spend oceans of unpaid time learning which still may or may not help you later on, I do a bit but I think that's a bit off really). And the work availability last few weeks has been a bit scary. So I'll definitely see it as just one egg in one of many baskets I think, I like that!

Hey all Anyone working on I*x or R**h on Ap? I've passed both the exams, but just waiting for accounts to be set up and activated.
Everywhere is so quiet at the moment....

I got an invite to R*h and J*a but dont have an IPhone. Considering getting a GiffGaff Sim and bunging in ds's old phone

I find Appen so confusing. I wish there was more communication. I have a project showing in my active list that I applied for about a week ago and took a test (which I assume I passed) and there is a button marked 'work this' but it just takes me to a 404 error page. Does this mean I'm in or not? Or I have to wait again for the magic fairies?

I'm thinking about setting up a YouTube channel for a hobby I enjoy with the hope that if it takes off I could monetise it. But my only experience of YouTube is as a viewer (I don't even have an account)

Has anyone got any experience or advice? Do you have to use your real name if you want to get paid? I'd rather have privacy and my videos would be aimed at helping beginners so knowing who I am wouldn't be important.

I've just passed the grammar test for R**h (again, I passed it a while ago but I got an email asking me to take it) and have been on the chat for both of them for ages, but not gone any further yet. As far as I could tell from the chat, it can take months to get baseline access.

If on Appen it asks for an apple Id do they want an iPhone? I don't have an iPhone but have a mac. Would that be ok?

@TempTraffic it probably depends on the task. For the ID initially it just needs the email linked to your Apple account so they can send a code to it which you then enter into Appen.

Im looking for some bits that I can do on maternity leave. Ideally where I don't have to virtually speak to anyone/talk on the phone as I hate that! I normally work as a executive assistant for the NHS. I have skills in customer care, change management, diary management, transcription...
