Hi, please could someone tell me is PayPal credit different to PayPal? Also on statement ITunes Store is on there nearly every day all different amounts. What could this be? What could you buy every day that costs between £3-£15?

Apple is listed again daily for same sort of amounts!!

What could the purchase be?

Thanks

Sounds like an unauthorised transaction, is someone is using your paypal? Phone them

SylvanasWindrunner · 28/09/2021 12:47

In-app purchases probably from a game or something else. Are you looking at someone else's statement?

chipsandpeas · 28/09/2021 12:48

paypal comes off your bank account or credit card, paypal credit is a credit account so you would pay off monthly

the amounts sounds like its add ons for games

prsphne · 28/09/2021 12:52

Sounds like an in app purchase. Is your Paypal connected to your Apple ID? You can check your Apple ID purchases on the Apple website, but does someone have access to a device with your Apple ID and might be buying in app purchases (eg for a game?)

Workinghardeveryday · 28/09/2021 12:54

But why would money go out for games daily if you only played once a week for a couple of hours?

OP posts:
Workinghardeveryday · 28/09/2021 12:55

What about the Apple bill being similar amounts 5 times a week? Surely this couldn’t be for gaming once a week?!!

OP posts:
Workinghardeveryday · 28/09/2021 12:55

How do I check either one and what the payments are for?

OP posts:
Workinghardeveryday · 28/09/2021 12:57

It shows iTunes on PayPal and apple.com in PayPal credit so must be two different payments going out

Could be buying apps or films each day

Workinghardeveryday · 28/09/2021 13:03

But if you are working a manual job and out the house for 10 hours a day it couldn’t be that!

OP posts:
Workinghardeveryday · 28/09/2021 13:04

How do I check what the purchases were for please?

We have Prime, Nowtv, Netflix and Amazon!! What could all that money be spent on?

It’s been for over a year. We also have Deezer so don’t pay for any other music!!

You can't unless you get hold of the itemised bill. You get an email for every purchase so if it's your account you should be getting emailed. Same with PayPal. Are the amounts on the two the same? My PayPal pays for my App Store purchases.

If it's someone else's account then it just sounds like they're spending a lot of money on in-game purchases, whether or not they're supposed to be at work or not. Phone games can be squeezed in to very small periods of time and a lot have currencies you buy with real money.

Wabola · 28/09/2021 13:08

You have to go into the Apple account in settings on an iPad or iPhone or by signing into iCloud and it is listed in purchases

SylvanasWindrunner · 28/09/2021 13:08

Do you have access to the Apple device you think was used?

Settings/Press the name at the top/scroll down to Purchases

MadeForThis · 28/09/2021 13:09

In app purchases could be set to a weekly top up? Like a subscription?

TowelStripes · 28/09/2021 13:11

You need to ask the people who have access to the apps. Husband, children?

Workinghardeveryday · 28/09/2021 13:12

There is no pattern to it apart from usually during the week, if ever on a weekend the amount is £2.49.
But £17.99, next day £9.89, next day £13.99 etc. The total is £986!!!!

Could be played or watched at lunchtime if person is at work

Workinghardeveryday · 28/09/2021 13:13

How much is a film to buy max?

OP posts:
Workinghardeveryday · 28/09/2021 13:14

Silly question (sorry I am clueless with these things) could it be anything to do with xrp/Bitcoin?

OP posts:
SylvanasWindrunner · 28/09/2021 13:15

Yeah that really sounds like in-game purchases at that frequency. They are often varying amounts for different types of currency, from 99p to £70 a pop some of them! Does a child have access to a device with the App Store on?

Rainbowshine · 28/09/2021 13:15

We have Prime, Nowtv, Netflix and Amazon!! What could all that money be spent on?

Those amounts are what you’d pay for a film on those platforms. Not all the content is free. Who else has access to your TV accounts? Also you can disconnect your PayPal or card details so that they have to be input when you purchase something.

SylvanasWindrunner · 28/09/2021 13:16

And sounds like someone is playing it on their breaks from lunch/school with that timing!
