Thanks for the new thread.
I’m getting a bit lazy and I need to buckle up. I have a lot of expenses coming up in April - car tax, insurance and 4 birthdays including ds1.
Let’s see how much I can earn.,,

tryinganother · 14/02/2020 09:56

hi
anyone able to help me please?
how do i sign up for crisp?
does anyone have a link

ifuckarses · 14/02/2020 10:00

I feel like I'm starting to get a bit disheartened. I've got my Lionbridge project which is is great, and an easy £300 a month, but I'm just struggling to get anything else that's consistent.

I was so excited when I finally got on to Appen, but then the project that I initially applied for and got accepted on to just isn't working. I've got another 10 sitting in active processes but God knows when I'll actually hear anything further or get on to them.

I'm doing UHRS as and when, but there's not many HitApps available and the one that I have been doing doesn't seem to be very well paid, it's only working out about £5 an hour!

I've been accepted onto Rev and I've done the test transcriptions. Today I've attempted a few paid jobs and had to unclaim them. Does transcription work get any easier? I just feel really stupid. I wasted 40 minutes on one earlier but had to give up as there was just too many speakers.

Lougle · 14/02/2020 10:17

I'm really tired today. Had a crummy day on UTest, just getting things wrong. But I've got projects coming out of my ears, so at least I'm being offered jobs. I've got about £120 due on Monday, but about 12 issues waiting to be approved (or rejected!).

I haven't started Appen yet. I really need to, but today is very busy and DH is away tomorrow.

Cheesewine · 14/02/2020 10:19

Hiya pretty new to this. Signed up for crisp but keep getting 18/20 😂. Signed up to appen and lions bridge , cloudwork . Made £250 since 2 weeks ago come Sunday on matched betting so that's been good. Signed up to the stocks thing so here's my link if anyone wants it.

girlicorne · 14/02/2020 10:34

@nothingchangesonnewyearsday yes I am doing the same 😀!!

MrsWombat · 14/02/2020 10:37

There are a few more projects listed on Appen to add to your "current processes" collection. Grin

DontCallMeDarling · 14/02/2020 10:50

@ifuckarses sorry to hear that. Online work is like a rollercoaster. One week it's great and you are inundated with offers but then the next week it plummets to zero. No rhyme or reason. 'Long-term' projects can be cut with no notice or go the other way. Hopefully things will pick up for you soon.

And well done on passing Rev, I failed a year ago. I am sure it does not easier with practice.

MoreMoneyPlease · 14/02/2020 10:57

Crisp sign up: survey.crispthinking.com/risk-analyst

@bluersky No, there isn't a record on the website of your tasks on Intellizoom. I asked them about it and they said it's something they're working on. I just make sure I keep the 'thanks for your input' email so I know how many I've done!

MoreMoneyPlease · 14/02/2020 11:02

Does anyone actually apply for the Appen jobs which say the pay will be 2-3 dollars an hour??

BertieBotts · 14/02/2020 11:10

Ooh thanks for that - I've now got 8 waiting instead of 6 :o

Struggling today. I worked out how much I need to ideally be making for us to get out of treading water/slightly drowning territory financially - €4-600 after childcare. If I earn up to €450 I can be on DH's health insurance, so if I can do stuff from home around DC for around €400 that's the sweet spot. But realistically childcare is going to be €350+ (And I know, that's a LOT cheaper than in the UK and I'm grateful) and then health insurance on top €200, so really I need to be earning at least €950 per month and I just don't know that I'm worth that much! Which makes me feel properly shit because it's not even that much.

Am sorting CV out properly to try my luck at some full time jobs. That's my task for today. Weekend/next week may be more childcare hunting. Although I have a feeling I need childcare in place before looking for a job, considering the waiting lists here, and I don't know how that works because we don't have money spare to pay for childcare unless I'm earning.

MoreMoneyPlease · 14/02/2020 11:21

Haven't done this one for a while...Do you want to get a free stock share worth up to ‎£ 100?

Create a Trading 212 Invest account using this link www.trading212.com/invite/FMEohVmG and we both get a free share!

Don't seem to be able to give any more referral codes with FreetradeConfused

girlicorne · 14/02/2020 11:22

I despair, $2-3 dollars an hour??? It would cost more in electricity to do the project!! Think I ll pass!!!

MoreMoneyPlease · 14/02/2020 11:22

And one for Chip, the money saving app. I just got my £10 yesterday so it does work! Get Chip here getchip.page.link/app & enter SCQMLGLG in your 'Account' tab to get £10.

tinyradish · 14/02/2020 11:30

Thank you for the new thread!

I also saw the project offering 2-3 USD an hour. Ridiculous....

Here's a freetrade referral if anyone's after one. You need to top up £1 so we both get our free shares.

You should sign up to Freetrade! It’s this app you can use to invest for free. Plus, when you sign up, we both get a free share - might be Apple or Tesla!

teacake89 · 14/02/2020 11:34

Hi everyone, I've recently had a drop in income so thought I'd join this thread.Smile I've found Profilic good for surveys - there's been no screening out for me and it's cash payments, usually a pound or so. I signed up to Rev and have to agree, the audio can be awful. I have made a point of looking for jobs that have no more than 2 speakers, just to try and make things easier. I also signed up to chip, so I'm hoping to save some money with it, and I also get a free tenner once I've made two deposits with them. (If you decide to sign up, I have a code that gets me a fiver and you a tenner, so if anyone wants it, let me know Smile)

otterses · 14/02/2020 11:43

I bloody LOVE Chip. I'd really recommend it to anyone lurking. Also got my free tenner today.

This is my savings thus far since I started the last week of Jan Grin with zero effort from me. It's certainly made me less wasteful with money, and rethink my attitude to spending.

I saw that project on Appen too. My guess was that there will be some countries where that rate of pay is worth it. Either that or they're taking the piss.

BertieBotts · 14/02/2020 12:38

Oh, well, I applied for it Blush I was taking the approach of apply for everything I could possibly do. Plus I don't have anything on Appen yet so something has to be better than nothing! You're right though it does seem very low.

Catatemyhomework · 14/02/2020 12:43

I have signed up to Football Index. It looks quite fun if anyone is interested in doing this. Use my link below and we both get £10.

trade.footballindex.co.uk/raf/?tag=564285&name=Harriet%20E

AriellaBella · 14/02/2020 12:55

@catatmyhomework how much did you pay into the football transfer?

MrsWombat · 14/02/2020 12:57

I apply for every Appen project Grin and I go with the assumption that $3 an hour is a mistake as their projects are generally minimum wage at least. If it isn’t I’ll tell them to foxtrot Oscar.

AriellaBella · 14/02/2020 12:59

In for a penny...!

I have joined football index. If you want to use my link we both get £10 free.

AriellaBella · 14/02/2020 12:59

No idea what I managed to do with that link!
