Ah, so to begin...
Been having a "stop it and tidy up" moment
Started with deleting Neevo. It never has work and the app takes an age to load. It's like watching a relentless spinning beachball. I got fed up, so it got booted.
Also for the boot was OnePulse, which was a shame because I like them and they're fun. BUT. As a UK company OnePulse aren't paying in ££ but $$ to reach more markets. What was once £5 cash out is now $5. And my $5 was worth £3.73 after Paypal had its go with their exchange rates. It's not worth getting out of bed for.
Also not worth getting out of bed for is Prolific (for me, at least.) I'd high hopes for this. However, survey pay rate is a fraction of minimum wage. I felt the balance between my time taken to invest in a survey that contributes to academic research vs the rate of reward was poor value. I also don't enjoy having to constantly check the Prolific page for studies instead of getting notifications. So, I've cashed out with my £6.62 and will delete my account once it's paid.
Lastly, I've had a £5 Amazon voucher from i-Say which felt hard won. I was also promised a cat food product trial but that never materialised... And I did another tedious YouGov survey for points towards the promised £50 cash out. I have 870 points towards the 5,000 needed, and get an average of 3 surveys a month worth 50 points each. That's about 1800 points per year, so I can expect the £50 sometime in 2023
Seriously? Who's got time for that.
As i-Say & YouGov surveys cheese me off I'm letting them go before I mature into a proper cheddar.
The only one I'm keeping is Google Rewards survey for being quick, fun and sending £2 to my Paypal fairly regularly. Yay!
Takeaway - Glittersocks should probably stay clear of surveys!
For my efforts:
£2.12 Google Rewards
£3.73 OnePulse
£6.62 Prolific
£0.00 YouGov
Total: £12.47 and a £5 Amazon voucher from Ipsos / i-Say
