So... Anyone up for an earn £10 a day 2020 thread?

HAPPY NEW YEAR Crown Grin

For anyone who wasn't with us last year, we all set about trying to earn £10 a day on top of our usual income. No MLM schemes or anything dodgy. There were some fantastic amounts achieved, mat leaves extended, babies conceived, and redundancies survived. I know the thread got a bit confusing to follow for new starters, but please don't be intimidated! You don't need any special skills or anything to do any of this, it's all really accessible and I promise we'll all try to be clear about what sites/terms are so no one gets too lost Smile

I haven't had time to put a full list together, and to be honest I want to pop off and go make the most of the content on Crisp Thinking (social media moderation site averaging around £10 per hour) but I was planning on popping up a list a bit later today.

Ok, I'm in 👍😊

AdaShelby · 02/01/2020 16:56

@harriet I would wait before redoing Crisp. Loads on the last threads waited since April/May before getting on in December.

Another friend has been waiting since February and hasn't heard back yet.

Whatsmyname2019 · 02/01/2020 17:01

@morekidsthanhands how do you know how many is in the queue ? Do you only do an hour at a time?

Muir23 · 02/01/2020 17:05

Many thanks @morekidsthanhands!

morekidsthanhands · 02/01/2020 17:05

@whatsmyname2019
Its shown in the dashboard. And yeah that's what works best for me - anymore and I lose focus. Having a set end in sight works for me! I'll probably do a couple of sessions a day depending on what I'm doing.

Whatsmyname2019 · 02/01/2020 17:14

@morekidsthanhands thank you I wondered what that was lol. Yes I can only manage an hour too but thought that was only me lol

MynameisJune · 02/01/2020 17:25

@Morgan12 I hate to tell you this but my Appen account has been stuck on that page for over a month now. I’ve emailed them twice to be told I’m in a pool waiting and I’ll get an email eventually. Thankfully I’ve got Crisp now but it’s super annoying.

MynameisJune · 02/01/2020 17:27

I tend to do 40mins - 1hr a couple of times a day when DD2 naps. Then maybe an hour at night, don’t always get the day time ones in. Today I’ve only done 1hr so far.

ZetaPuppis · 02/01/2020 17:29

@morekidsthanhands thanks for that.
How confidant are you now and did you start off as slow and nervous as me Smile
What have you got on your 2 windows? Both mod and monitoring or the same?
I can’t imagine whizzing through them.

SilverOtter · 02/01/2020 17:34

I'm in!

Patapouf · 02/01/2020 17:55

How long does it take Appen to decide whether they accept you from the initial application stage?

morekidsthanhands · 02/01/2020 18:12

@ZetaPuppis usually mod2 - I dont do well with monitoring and feel like I'm unsuring them all! Find mod2 more clear cut, monitoring more subjective.
Still wouldn't describe myself as confident but as time goes you know the option trees better which makes you lots quicker. I know one of them has changed recently and its really thrown me off.
I used to do it with one window and watching TV- spending hours all evening to earn the same amount I can earn in 1 hour if I really concentrate for that time. That really is my biggest tip! And absolutely email anything you're unsure about, the answers usually help.

bookgirl1982 · 02/01/2020 18:17

I'm in. Need to top up the maternity pay!

Have signed up for prolific, Appen, crisp, utest and clickworker S. Now just need some tasks to appear!

Also listed two items on eBay today and will aim to do that every day to have a clear out and raise some funds.

ZetaPuppis · 02/01/2020 18:27

@morekidsthanhands thanks for that.
I’ll have more time from next week so should be able to really get into it.

Catatemyhomework · 02/01/2020 18:31

Has anyone who did the MBUX voice project with isoftstone been paid yet? I did it before Christmas. Had an email from them after saying thanks and I would be paid shortly. Then had another email asking for paypal email address which I sent. Not heard anything since.

QueenOfCatan · 02/01/2020 18:32

I'm in, still need £4k by April self employed somehow! I'm struggling to get anything at the moment, i signed up to appen and lionbridge in December, been approved for an appen project but that was before Christmas and nothing has happened since. Joined neevo, applied to cloudworkers, got approved but didn't send my details on time, on a few survey sites that have come to nothing so far. It's slow going :/

HarrietThePi · 02/01/2020 18:39

Thanks for all the encouragement.

It's not huge but I've made £20 so far from qmee surveys. I started that in late December (after advice on the previous £10 a day thread!)

@themoneyshed is the money shed your blog?

themoneyshed · 02/01/2020 18:52

@HarrietThePi

Yes :)

Blowandgo · 02/01/2020 19:02

Anyone know if any of these can be done from Ireland or do you have to be in the uk?

benandhollyagaaain · 02/01/2020 19:05

Interested in this! Currently on maternity so could definitely use the money!

LeithWalk · 02/01/2020 19:12

Does anyone still do the online language tutoring? Is this profitable? - any links or information would be great for one of my graduate DC's.

Thanks

MagicalThinking · 02/01/2020 19:17

I'm in! I'm on Appen and Clickworker so far. I've done the Crisp application too. Currently working FT but my contract runs out later this year so would be nice to have something to tide me over while I job hunt. I did matched betting for a while and made about £5k profit but I lost a lot of the better accounts and the offers dried up so I've stopped that now.

HarrietThePi · 02/01/2020 19:26

Awesome!

usernamegoeshere · 02/01/2020 19:33

Signed up with Appen today, waiting to hear from crisp. Clickworker isnt my friend, I did one thing for £1, got rejected then spent half hour doing a survey and got 23p!

6.87 matched betting, could be worse. Takes me to 17.87 for Jan.

Blackforesthotchoc · 02/01/2020 19:36

Is anyone doing this and work for the NHS? Have vague memories of signing something saying current job is my only employment...

Also - if you do this with a full time job, has anyone found HMRC have really messed up? I've had bad experiences with them cocking up with only one job so I'm guessing multiple income sources would really confuse them. Just have visions of receiving enormous tax demands....
