So... Anyone up for an earn £10 a day 2020 thread?

HAPPY NEW YEAR Crown Grin

For anyone who wasn't with us last year, we all set about trying to earn £10 a day on top of our usual income. No MLM schemes or anything dodgy. There were some fantastic amounts achieved, mat leaves extended, babies conceived, and redundancies survived. I know the thread got a bit confusing to follow for new starters, but please don't be intimidated! You don't need any special skills or anything to do any of this, it's all really accessible and I promise we'll all try to be clear about what sites/terms are so no one gets too lost Smile

I haven't had time to put a full list together, and to be honest I want to pop off and go make the most of the content on Crisp Thinking (social media moderation site averaging around £10 per hour) but I was planning on popping up a list a bit later today.

Also - does anybody know in terms of top cashback how it works if you already have an account with the company - e.g. currently have 3mobile contract that's out of date, do I cancel that before doing new contract via top cash back Blush

Wolfff · 02/01/2020 19:47

@Blackforest
You register as Self Employed. It is not difficult, you register on the Gov.UK website. HMRC are only as good as the info they are given. If that is wrong there will be errors.

Check with your HR Dept about T & C. My employer asks to make your line manager aware aware in case there is a conflict of interest.

I've noticed a couple of you mention Yukon - what is that?

themoneyshed · 02/01/2020 20:01

@Blackforesthotchoc

for 4 years before going full time self employed I worked a full time job alongside working online.

It's easy enough, get your P60 from your PAYE job, you fill everything in on HMRCs site (so you declare your PAYE income and your SE income) and then they tell you if you owe any additional tax. I used to always tick the box the let them take what I owed over 12 months via my PAYE pay to keep things simple ;)

Patapouf- I seem to recall the initial Appen acceptance so that you can start applying for projects was really quick. In the Autumn when I was getting pissed off at all the ones I was applying to do and being accepted onto none- I signed up again from a new email address and got an email the next day telling me I wasn't being accepted because they had enough people in their "pool" of appliers (if that makes sense)

Leith- check out teach esl online facebook page. They have recruiters doing the hard-recruit on there night and day. For most of the online teaching English jobs you don't need any qualifications. My day job is English language to furriners teaching and I looked into the online business in the autumn but it wouldn't suit me. You are given scripts more or less to work from. There are zillions of companies though. The FB page is useful. I'll see if I can find you the link.

Blownandgo- some of the sites/jobs will be UK resident only. A couple of the ones mentioned so far are only open to UK residents. I am in Italy and am on Appen, Clickworker, Neevo, Prolific, Intellizoom and another half dozen.

My Etsy thing earned me nearly £20 today so I'm up and running.

TheCanterburyWhales · 02/01/2020 20:06

Silver- Yukon is one of the Appen jobs. They've all got bonkers codenames

macaroniandpizza · 02/01/2020 20:06

Clueless newbie signing up but wtf do i do 🙈😂

SilverOtter · 02/01/2020 20:09

Ah thanks @TheCanterburyWhales I have applied to AppenSmile

NannyPear · 02/01/2020 20:26

On Clickworker there's this Peanut Labs thing that you can be redirected to for surveys. I went on it, completed some of the usual demographic stuff, then it prompted me to start a survey. But there was no mention of money at this point, and I wasn't gonna waste 15 minutes for nothing. Anyone with experience of this?

Shelbustotherescue · 02/01/2020 20:40

So it's been 24 hours since I joined - I've signed up with Prolific and Qmee - completed 4 surveys which have been about 5 mins each and earnt £1.23 !! It's a start, a slow one, but a start !

Whatsmyname2019 · 02/01/2020 20:46

Lol @macaroniandpizza start reading up

Katisha · 02/01/2020 20:54

Just looking at Prolific. Do you have to do the survey as soon as you get on to it, or can you do it later in the evening say?

HarrietThePi · 02/01/2020 20:57

I misread this. Googled blownandgo thinking it was work. Got some interesting results. BlushGrin

Whatsmyname2019 · 02/01/2020 21:18

@Katisha I think you have 10 mins to start a survey with Prolific

Katisha · 02/01/2020 21:34

Ah so that would make it a bit tricky with a daytime job aa well

doyouthinkhesawme · 02/01/2020 22:25

I'm definitely in 😁 DC3 due in May so will be going on Mat leave and looking for ways to increase income. Have signed up for Appen and reading through this thread to find more, thank you!

RubySlippers77 · 02/01/2020 22:45

Desperate to earn some £££ to help with the household income, I'm a SAHM whilst the DC are small and would also like to use my brain a bit more..... once they're finally back at nursery next week I'll be able to read through this thread properly and get some ideas, thank you to everyone for the suggestions!

Boobahs · 02/01/2020 23:45

Does anyone know how long Neevo take to pay? I've done all of the 230 tasks on the 2 audio recording tasks, they're still showing as active but I had an email to say the quiet ones had finished? Which payment method do they use?

Cutegiraffe · 03/01/2020 00:13

Not been able to earn a penny so far as no surveys are showing on Prolific and no jobs on Neevo. Not sure what I am doing wrong?
Can anyone please suggest websites to make instant money. I'm on the waiting list for crisp
