So... Anyone up for an earn £10 a day 2020 thread?

HAPPY NEW YEAR Crown Grin

For anyone who wasn't with us last year, we all set about trying to earn £10 a day on top of our usual income. No MLM schemes or anything dodgy. There were some fantastic amounts achieved, mat leaves extended, babies conceived, and redundancies survived. I know the thread got a bit confusing to follow for new starters, but please don't be intimidated! You don't need any special skills or anything to do any of this, it's all really accessible and I promise we'll all try to be clear about what sites/terms are so no one gets too lost Smile

I haven't had time to put a full list together, and to be honest I want to pop off and go make the most of the content on Crisp Thinking (social media moderation site averaging around £10 per hour) but I was planning on popping up a list a bit later today.

Count me in!! I've been matched betting for a while, made £11 today so not a bad start!

I registered with Crisp but didnt score high enough in test, will redo it.

Shelbustotherescue · 01/01/2020 19:06

Can someone talk me through matched betting please ?? Or point me in the right direction Smile

Cookiedough123 · 01/01/2020 19:07

Just did the crisp test and got 17/20 .. annoying! Went to sign up for the Appen but need a CV which I dont have so will have to make. Nothing is ever easy when you just want to make some extra dolla ha ha!

dimdarkashian · 01/01/2020 19:19

Wow, this is great Grin

Mammyofonlyone · 01/01/2020 19:19

Great thank you

Hi to all the newbies, these threads have been awesome for me. I made £1000+ in November and around £500 in December

If anyone wants a couple of links to make some easy cash then definitely also try :-

On the waiting list for Crisp Smile

dimdarkashian · 01/01/2020 19:54

Appen applied for too!

MrsWombat · 01/01/2020 19:58

Just posted this on the no spread thread and thought I'd repost it here too. Thank you to the posters who used my referral link today. You now need to earn $150 for me to get a $25 bonus so click click. Grin

Anyway......

(1) Sign up for Appen. This is where my £10 a day project is from. All the wacky names are project names because we can't discuss clients or what we actually do, but very loosely it's data entry type stuff for big multinational companies whose names you will recognise. Apply for every project and see what sticks. My referral link is here: connect.appen.com/qrp/public/jobs?uref=a91a549efbd436fa36c6845b7ef3fce6
(2)Take the Crisp test (I passed back in May but haven't heard anything yet, although lots of posters have had great success with them) Apparently it's moderating social networks.
Then whilst you are waiting for the above two to get started.....
(3) Clickworker. Pin money rather than proper employment doing various surveys, app testing etc. My referral link: www.clickworker.com/en/clickworker?utm_source=1173826&utm_campaign=CW4CW&utm_medium=email
(4) Prolific. University surveys. I have the tab open while I am doing my other stuff and can get decent pin money from this too when I can be bothered.

Good luck everyone. Smile

MrsWombat · 01/01/2020 20:00

Any Appen people on Bane Curation, they posted an update on the 30th December on the project page. Might be some work soon, but I won't hold my breathe!

NannyPear · 01/01/2020 20:01

Thanks Mrswombat. Will start with all of the above!

TheCanterburyWhales · 01/01/2020 20:40

For those who don't pass Crisp, doesn't matter- keep doing it, and remember to tick ALL possible "risks". I failed twice but have now been on the waiting list since October.
Second what pps have said about Appen etc as well, you may be accepted tomorrow, you may wait almost a year like me, but eventually you'll be accepted onto something. Apply for everything you can.
Someone upthread asked about having to wait an hour for Appen Nile part 2s, that's normal I think.

Custardcreamfiend · 01/01/2020 20:43

I'd like to join you as well. I already do a bit of matched betting and have had some work with appen but I need to focus more and see what else is out there. I'm hoping to seriously reduce our debt this year and £10 a day would make a big difference.

One thing I have been doing for a while is www.shopandscan.com. It's an invitation only thing but if you look at the FAQ on the link it should tell you how you can register to be considered. There's no guarantee you'll be accepted though. It was about 10 months before I was accepted and I usually get a £10 amazon voucher every few weeks for scanning the barcodes on my food shopping with a little gadget and uploading the receipts. It might be worth a look for some of you. Smile

Kerrieanne85 · 01/01/2020 20:52

Count me in 100%. Passed the Crisp test back in October still waiting to hear from them and waiting to hear from Appen for some tasks I've applied to.

SorryDidISayThatOutLoud · 01/01/2020 21:05

I am back for another year too. I work from home in my part time job and then do Crisp and Appen the rest of the time. Hoping to get into matched betting but I just can’t put my toe in the water yet!
Thanks Otterses for all your hard work for us.

HarrietThePi · 01/01/2020 21:06

I have a question about cloudworkers. It says on the sign up page that they need to call you, has anyone had a call from them? I know the job is like sex chatrooms or something, they don't make you say stuff on the phone do they?

Boobahs · 01/01/2020 21:08

Just applied for a few more Appen tasks, got 13 "in progress" now Confused

However, with a 3.5 year old and a 7 month old, I need to be realistic about how many hours I can do!

Patapouf · 01/01/2020 21:20

Hi everyone, I'm in 👋🏽

Eating into savings on my unpaid stretch of mat leave and it looks like I won't be returning to work so I need to find a way to plug the gap in our essential outgoings without my wage.

Do many of these things that are mentioned require specific skills or qualifications or work experience? I saw one mentioned a CV??

I dabbled with matched betting quite successfully a few years ago but lost interest and gave up when I'd run through all the easy deals!

Illdoiteventually · 01/01/2020 21:30

I was wondering if anyone could help with Neevo. I signed up a couple of months ago but never get anything from it? Also no jobs on my task board

TheCanterburyWhales · 01/01/2020 21:52

My Neevo is like that too. Mind you, I'd forgotten I'd even signed up to it until I rechecked all the opportunities listed on here tonight!

Boobahs, I've got 38 in progress Xmas Grin

Boobahs · 01/01/2020 22:08

@TheCanterburyWhales Shock I hope we get something soon!

NannyPear · 01/01/2020 22:25

Applied for Appen. Finally got 19/20 for Crisp - third attempt after two 18s! Was close to giving up on that one for a bit but would have likely not went back to it at all so keep at it if you fail folks, as the knowledgeable PPs have said already.

HarrietThePi · 01/01/2020 22:36

Does anyone here have experience freelancing for 'Upwork'?

TheCanterburyWhales · 01/01/2020 22:47

Patapouf- you can add things like languages to your profile and then you stand more chance of being accepted for things. The profile compilation thing was a total faff but I did get a lot of tasks using specific languages pop up. (all still in my "in progress" list but hey ho!
