So... Anyone up for an earn £10 a day 2020 thread?

HAPPY NEW YEAR Crown Grin

For anyone who wasn't with us last year, we all set about trying to earn £10 a day on top of our usual income. No MLM schemes or anything dodgy. There were some fantastic amounts achieved, mat leaves extended, babies conceived, and redundancies survived. I know the thread got a bit confusing to follow for new starters, but please don't be intimidated! You don't need any special skills or anything to do any of this, it's all really accessible and I promise we'll all try to be clear about what sites/terms are so no one gets too lost Smile

I haven't had time to put a full list together, and to be honest I want to pop off and go make the most of the content on Crisp Thinking (social media moderation site averaging around £10 per hour) but I was planning on popping up a list a bit later today.

Following this, with interest! Baby is only 9 days old but hopefully I can sign up for some of these sites in the future 😁

This thread has already inspired me to cancel my new plus net contract (I'm within the 14 day period) and get a new one through quidco. Plusnet annoyed me because they didn't make it obvious when my contract was up (so I've been paying extra £££s for 3 month) and they won't match their own best deal for new customers and they were rude on the phone. I decided to stay as I thought well it's only £2.50 a month extra but actually with the cash back thrown in it amounts to quite a lot.

MynameisJune · 01/01/2020 17:06

@whatsmyname2019 I try not to overthink it, I don’t want to get thrown off either but from the ones I’ve sent in I was getting most correct and understood the ones I didn’t. So trying to tell myself to trust my instincts.

I cannot for the life of me find the appen registration page to enter my verification code?

After I've applied for the micro-tasks its telling me to enter a code but theres no where to enter it? Anyone else have this issue?

I applied for the raters with no problems.

ChikiTIKI · 01/01/2020 17:39

I am interested in joining. Don't have a laptop, just an iPad, which sites do you think I could manage on just an iPad with?

TracyBeakerSoYeah · 01/01/2020 17:41

Count me in too!

Momniscient · 01/01/2020 17:46

All set up on Prolific and registered with Crisp... fingers crossed!

Loopyteddy · 01/01/2020 17:50

I am ready to apply for jobs on Appen a lot of the ones I am interested in want me to provide my Facebook URL. Can anyone advise what I would actually be using my Facebook for? Thanks

Momniscient · 01/01/2020 17:51

Spoke too soon - failed the Crisp test at 17/20 Grin Curses...

HarrietThePi · 01/01/2020 17:55

Having a read through on that moneyshed forum. Thanks for sharing that. I signed up to appen but haven't got any work through it. Same with that crisp - I got 20/20 on the risk test but haven't heard any more since. I don't know if it's worth doing the test again? Am signed up to clickworker too but it says it needs your tax details to pay you and I don't know what mine are or how to get them. Blush

Same with neevo - have signed up but there's never any jobs available. What am I doing wrong?

I live with my partner. Due to having DC and Ill health I haven't worked for 5 years and I'm not eligible for any benefits because of his earnings. We are not struggling but I want to separate so I want to start building up some savings.

Shelbustotherescue · 01/01/2020 18:06

Found this thread today, never heard of any of those sites or it being a way to make money but I'm definitely keen so I've registered with Prolific and hour ago and made 23p already !

If anyone has any tips or tricks I'd love to hear them !

Wolfff · 01/01/2020 18:08

@Loopy
I have PM'd you. We have signed NDAs and cannot discuss specific projects on here.

savethecat · 01/01/2020 18:08

Sorry but what kind of work is it that you are doing via these sites?

happychange · 01/01/2020 18:11

Argh.. I got 18/20 on crisp. Does anyone know if you can just try again until you get 19/20?

Boobahs · 01/01/2020 18:14

@happychange Yes, I think it took me 4 times before I got 19/20.

Blackforesthotchoc · 01/01/2020 18:18

Do most of these require social media (assume not quidco)? Would love to join but mumsnet is the only social media platform I'm and would definitely not want to join FB, twitter etc!

Redda · 01/01/2020 18:19

Happy New Year everyone, thank you for the new thread @otterses, I haven't read through yet but hope everyone is well, December was abysmal for me moneywise but I think I have sold a commercial property I own so hopefully I'll be moving away from my very horrible and distracting living conditions soon - I cannot wait! I completely fucked up the last decade so this new one is my fresh start :)

themoneyshed · 01/01/2020 18:26

@HarrietThePi

Hope you've been enjoying the site. If you have any questions about TMS or about getting the most money from earning money from home please just ask, am happy to help everyone here ;)

DontCallMeDarling · 01/01/2020 18:35

Happy New Year!

EvilHerbivore · 01/01/2020 18:45

I'd like to join too - just set up the saving app

happychange · 01/01/2020 18:46

Thank you @Boobahs off I go to try again Blush

goldenorbspider · 01/01/2020 18:51

What's crisp?

TheCanterburyWhales · 01/01/2020 18:52

I'm in!
Still got 38 processes ongoing on Appen Grin but am finally on Nile so though it's been a frustrating wait, it's finally happening! Only 9 months- like being pregnant!
Still waiting on Crisp - passed the test in October.
Don't even look at Prolific anymore- though might start again.
Will have a look through everything else going now...I've reopened my Etsy shop again and am determined to shift some stuff on ebay this year.

As ever, huge thanks to Otterses for getting us all up and going.

mushforbrain · 01/01/2020 18:53

I would love to join the thread please, matched betting was brilliant for a bit extra last year but struggling with it now and would be good to try something new. An extra tenner a day would actually make a big difference Smile

LadyFlumpalot · 01/01/2020 19:04

Yes please! I've got a £2500 target.

I've just applied for Appen and Crisp and finally gotten round to switching my electricity provider using Quidco. Hopefully that'll reduce my energy bills as well as getting me my cash back!
