So... Anyone up for an earn £10 a day 2020 thread?

HAPPY NEW YEAR Crown Grin

For anyone who wasn't with us last year, we all set about trying to earn £10 a day on top of our usual income. No MLM schemes or anything dodgy. There were some fantastic amounts achieved, mat leaves extended, babies conceived, and redundancies survived. I know the thread got a bit confusing to follow for new starters, but please don't be intimidated! You don't need any special skills or anything to do any of this, it's all really accessible and I promise we'll all try to be clear about what sites/terms are so no one gets too lost Smile

I haven't had time to put a full list together, and to be honest I want to pop off and go make the most of the content on Crisp Thinking (social media moderation site averaging around £10 per hour) but I was planning on popping up a list a bit later today.

I'm in. I started on Appen in July thanks to this thread. I luckily picked up an hour a day job, which is about £300 a month if I work each day.

I also recently started on Crisp (6 months after applying) and will concentrate on that over the next few weeks until I know what I'm doing.

Also found Intellizoom a good earner and have dabbled in a isoftstone which is well paid but has relatively few jobs and Neevo which has generally awful pay. Also prolific and clickworker.

I also work full time and I am studying for a work based qualification. I need to manage my time a bit better!

THAT90sBITCH · 01/01/2020 13:53

£50 a day! How many hours are you putting in for that!?

BertieBotts · 01/01/2020 14:06

Aah OK now I remember why I got stuck on this kind of thing, it's the requirement to be registered as self employed and so on. I'm in Germany and it's all complicated and I have to get permission from my main employer Hmm and I don't want to accidentally break any laws.

However I think I'm OK as long as I earn less than €450 a month - so I will have a look and see if I can keep it consistently under that amount. I'm doing YNAB now so it shouldn't be difficult to track how much I'm earning.

Galahappy · 01/01/2020 14:07

I’m in 😀

anothernamejeeves · 01/01/2020 14:45

Def in!
Want to do lots this year travelling moving house etc

SnipSnipMrBurgess · 01/01/2020 14:59

Count me in! I'm getting married this year and need all the money in the world it seems!

KnowBetterDoBetter · 01/01/2020 15:07

Placemarking! I got accepted for both Nile and Crisp last month, and Crisp seemed a lot more complicated and is obviously not as strict with hours worked so it kind of fell to the wayside as I could only just squeeze in the hour a day with Nile because of Christmas etc. Only did 10ish items on crisp Blush thought that'd be it as you obviously need to pass level 1, but they emailed me yesterday saying I'd passed and I'm on to level 2! Which I'm surprised about, but very pleased. Gonna try my best to do an hour a day of that too, now Christmas is out of the way.

I really liked doing Nile on my phone at first, but it hasn't worked that way over the past couple of weeks, so have had to do it on the laptop (and wait an hour for the second part). Has anybody else experienced this?

Whatsmyname2019 · 01/01/2020 15:29

Happy New Year all ! Question about Neevo, I did some of the pronunciation but chickened out on the phone calls but I’ve heard nothing at all since? Is it just quiet? Intellizoom has gone quiet too. Will concentrate on Crisp, do you still find yourself clicking unsure much? I’m still overthinking

INeedNewShoes · 01/01/2020 15:35

Lurking for now. I’ll come back later and explore the links.

Frenchdoors1 · 01/01/2020 15:35

@Whatsmyname2019

I do find that Neevo is just occasionally, and it is quiet at the moment. Some people get jobs that others haven't, it's just how it is. Some are first come first serve too. Smile

Happy New Year everyone!

eggofmantumbi · 01/01/2020 15:37

I'll be following with interest. Got some debt I'm going away at

Bellag79 · 01/01/2020 15:38

Count me in too! Definitely need a bit of extra cash!

MynameisJune · 01/01/2020 15:43

I’m in, working on Crisp. Trying to get Appen to sort my account out as it’s frozen until they verify me and that’s been a month now. Will look at clickworker as well. Should be able to do £10 on crisp alone though.

BringMeThatHorizon · 01/01/2020 15:48

I'm in! I'm another that was following along last year but got a bit confused with declaring and all the different projects people were talking about. Going to sign up to a few things today to get started.

Whatsmyname2019 · 01/01/2020 15:50

@Frenchdoors1 thank you
@MynameisJune how long you been working on Crisp to do £10? I’m so slow lol

MynameisJune · 01/01/2020 15:53

@Whatsmyname2019 just over a week, I’ve just moved into phase 2. I’m hoping for more than £10 a day but that’s the aim due to having 7 month old DD2 to look after as well.

Whatsmyname2019 · 01/01/2020 16:10

@MynameisJune about the same time as me then, are you still unsure of some? Do you send them for clarification or just unsure?

MynameisJune · 01/01/2020 16:19

@whatsmyname2019 I sent 3 as unsure last night which was the last time I worked. Have steadily been reducing that number as I get more confident. The person who responded to my emails regarding the ones I’m unsure of has taken some time to explain their thinking and it has helped me get a better idea of what they are looking for.

Boobahs · 01/01/2020 16:25

Hi, I'm going to join this year too. I followed most of the threads last year but didn't really get going.

I passed the Crisp test with 19/20 back in Sept but haven't heard anything. I've now signed up with Appen and applied for about 9 projects which are all in progress.

I've earned the odd pound here and there on a mixture of Qmee, Prolific and Intellizoom but it all just seems really slow lately. Clickworkers never seem to have anything and Vypr is so slow that I've not even got to minimum points to pay out yet, even after 5 months!

I've signed up with Neevo and managed to do the 230 tasks on the 2 speech recording tasks but can only get to about 21 tasks on the verification task before it says no more available tasks.

I really hope Crisp or Appen come through for me, my maternity pay drops to 0 in Feb and we need to try to survive on one wage Confused

Tefiti2 · 01/01/2020 16:31

Do you need a laptop for both Crisp and Appen or has anyone got by with just using their phones?

MynameisJune · 01/01/2020 16:35

@tefiti2 you need a laptop for Crisp. Appen can be done on a phone for some projects.

Stegasaurusmum · 01/01/2020 16:39

Ooh, marking my place, I'm going yo check out all these links, I'm a teacher with a fair bit of time off during the as ummer, I think my circumstances my change a bit this year so any spare cash is much needed.

girlicorne · 01/01/2020 16:39

@THAT90sBITCH that will be around four five hours a day. I am free in the evenings from 9 once I ve done my prep for my day job and I don’t like watching tv do it will be 9 til 1 or 2am. I made £1000 in November on Appen that way. I don’t need more than 4 or 5 hours sleep a night.

girlicorne · 01/01/2020 16:43

Anyone feeling disheartened with waiting it will come in, I applied to Crisp in June and got accepted last month, Appen I applied in June did some short term stuff then got an hour a day project in September which I m still on and three of the 20 hours a week ones in November which are now about over but have earned me £2k. So just hang in there and the work will come eventually!

Whatsmyname2019 · 01/01/2020 16:51

@MynameisJune same here but stressing about any I may be doing wrong as I’m enjoying it and don’t want to get booted
