HAPPY NEW YEAR

For anyone who wasn't with us last year, we all set about trying to earn £10 a day on top of our usual income. No MLM schemes or anything dodgy. There were some fantastic amounts achieved, mat leaves extended, babies conceived, and redundancies survived. I know the thread got a bit confusing to follow for new starters, but please don't be intimidated! You don't need any special skills or anything to do any of this, it's all really accessible and I promise we'll all try to be clear about what sites/terms are so no one gets too lost

I haven't had time to put a full list together, and to be honest I want to pop off and go make the most of the content on Crisp Thinking (social media moderation site averaging around £10 per hour) but I was planning on popping up a list a bit later today.

I am doing the studying for that one MrsWombat. I felt completely comfortable until there was one example labelled as unclear that seemed comepletely clear to me. I think I am goin gto do it tomorrow. Still poorly.

I haven't been sent the test yet for Calawah, still waiting for step 2.

Has anyone tried Lionbridge?

@MrsWombat they'll have to if no one passes! Wonder why I've not been sent test yet. Will have to wait until tonight anyway as I'm having to clean while baby naps😩 it's waited long enough!

Another tenner on Swagbucks this week, but at the cost of my sanity. Had to turn my phone off and set a timer... Was getting a bit ridiculous the amount I was refreshing the page and then doing more surveys. Hoping to earn a bit on eBay this year as I'm also decluttering...fingers crossed.

@Catatemyhomework when you do the course, the last step is a quiz/test. If you pass that, when you go back to the course it will have a section at the bottom that says 'you have unlocked the test cycle'. Click on that, then you get to sign up for the test cycle. They only send test cycle invitations on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays, though, so you'll be added to a queue.

Ah ok, thanks for that @Lougle. Are they at the end of all the quizzes or only certain ones? I have done and passed the first 6 but I don't think I have seen an option to unlock the test cycle yet? Perhaps I haven't done enough quizzes yet to get to that point? I will check again. Thanks for replying.

I've just realised I have done almist a year on mt appen project so am trying to prepare myself for it coming to an end I have been trying to kid myself that I'd done about 6 months. I'm going to really miss that money.

I'm hoping that if I leave the C-wah test until the morning the glitches will have been sorted. I've just read all the guidelines and there are certainly some inconsistencies in the third lot for a start.

I think I have passed calawah!

I'm a bit confused about Calawah. I clicked qualify and got a message saying that I would need to do a couple of things before working on it and a further email would follow. But I haven't had the email.

I have another project with a "Work this!" button, but when I click it, it says that I might be sent an email with further instructions...so I can't work it.

I don't think I've had the test come through for my calawah-mabob application.

I've just discovered an app called Sportstack that gives you shares in athletes. If you use my link you can get 6 free shares. I've only just signed up so not sure how good it is yet though.

You can get the free shares straight away but apparently you have to deposit £10 in order to withdraw. You don't have to wager it though. I havn't done that yet.

I have been sent the guidelines for Calawah but can't find the test- where is it?!

I haven't had a Ca-la-walla-Ding-dong email either. This happens to me all the time with appen. I get accepted or told a test etc will follow and then nothing. If you email they usually don't reply or tell you that you'll hear when you hear. All my Malta projects have finished so struggling for a decent income. At least my invoice was hassle free this month.

@MrsWombat if you look on Appen social everyone has failed it I think there’s something wrong with it so don’t worry you may get a chance to retake!

I haven't had an email about Calawah guidelines either and I had the original email that said guidelines would follow a few days ago now. I wonder what their method to sending out these emails is? Maybe they do it in batches and if they get enough participants they stop sending out the emails. I would have at least liked the opportunity to take the test.

I have done the Appen Cala exam today and failed it. I was quite surprising I failed as I studied it closely but hey ho. I am also on Appen adria so at least I have that.
