So... Anyone up for an earn £10 a day 2020 thread?

HAPPY NEW YEAR Crown Grin

For anyone who wasn't with us last year, we all set about trying to earn £10 a day on top of our usual income. No MLM schemes or anything dodgy. There were some fantastic amounts achieved, mat leaves extended, babies conceived, and redundancies survived. I know the thread got a bit confusing to follow for new starters, but please don't be intimidated! You don't need any special skills or anything to do any of this, it's all really accessible and I promise we'll all try to be clear about what sites/terms are so no one gets too lost Smile

I haven't had time to put a full list together, and to be honest I want to pop off and go make the most of the content on Crisp Thinking (social media moderation site averaging around £10 per hour) but I was planning on popping up a list a bit later today.

I’ve recently moved to phase 2 too but have been a bit unwell lately so haven’t done much.
I really like the work and find it interesting. I’m quite slow as tend to overthink. Sent in a lot of queries with the response I think is correct and I’ve been completely on the right track. I really just need to be more confident but the 99.9% accuracy rate sets me on edge!

LunaLula83 · 09/01/2020 22:50

Oh so frustrating this week. Endless surveys asking for my income, how many people in in the household only to be told I don't qualify for the survey. On clickworker I had an opportunity to earn £25 But couldn't download the app onto my iPad as requested. So that wasted an hour.
Where are these jobs you all do? It really sounds too good to be true!
I'm doing
appen -pending
Inbox pounds
Pick my postcode
Lifepoints (what the points are worth?)
Oh my dosh!
Streetbees
I've earned £1.40 for 3 hours!

Whatsmyname2019 · 09/01/2020 23:03

@ZetaPuppis I overthink too and sent too much in and got referred to training so panicked. Had my first serious flag today!

Whatsmyname2019 · 09/01/2020 23:11

@madasaboxofcats lol probably helps lol are you still asking for feedback? Did you pick crisp up from here?

ZetaPuppis · 09/01/2020 23:17

@Whatsmyname2019 A serious flag as in an error? Did they email you?
I’m sure I’ve probably made a few errors. Just wondered how they flag it up.
It does get easier the more you do.

Whatsmyname2019 · 09/01/2020 23:20

@ZetaPuppis no I saw something serious I flagged up to them. I feel more confident the more I do but lack of feedback doesn’t help

ZetaPuppis · 09/01/2020 23:22

@Whatsmyname2019 ah right. Well done for flagging it up.

morrisseysquif · 09/01/2020 23:42

@AliciaWhiskers

What chat thing do you do? I signed up for the cloudworker one but didn't progress it as it just sounded sleazy.

morrisseysquif · 09/01/2020 23:44

@girlicorne I hope so! Thank you.

My Appen projects dried up, it is a bit of a shock when you are used to the money!

SimplyBlue · 10/01/2020 01:43

So far this week I've made:

£50 selling online
$40 isoftsone
£4.14 profilic
£4.29 Qmee

Really wish I'd get some progress on Appen, hear something from Crisp (only applied end of Dec though), and some work from Neevo. Hope to hear back from Rev soon too. All in all, it's not a bad week so far.

GlamMuma · 10/01/2020 06:56

If your on benefits can you do this? Surely not?

TheCanterburyWhales · 10/01/2020 07:03

I've failed Rev again.
I do transcription off and on in court (and then often have to translate it) so if Rev don't want me they can fork off Grin
The thing to consider with transcription of any kind is the rate per word/per hour. It often works out at absolute peanuts for something which is not easy and very time-consuming.

Ok, delurking to say what a wonderful thread this is. I am slowly building up my apps and enjoy doing the tasks. Thank you everyone for posting with tips. So far I have:

Quidco- been doing this for years and have earned £1150 so far- £60 available at the moment but that is from 2019.
Crisp- on waiting list
Clickworker- my favourite for the commute, about £4 so far
Shoppix- past £5 mark, aiming for £20 before I pay out
Zipzero- only just loaded, assume this works like Shoppix
Prolific- about £3 earned so far but am checking regularly
Angelfish- have applied for a couple of tasks but was not suitable. Will keep checking

So, not much in earnings at the moment but I am building habits such as checking all apps for new tasks when I'm on the train.

otterses · 10/01/2020 08:29

@GlamMuma I'm not really in a position to advise about how this would impact benefits, it would be the same as it would for the rest of us in regards to registering as self employed, but how that would impact and payments you receive I'm no too sure.

OP posts:
lilmishap · 10/01/2020 11:03

It is dependant on circumstance and how reliant you are on benefits (whether they are topping you up or your sole income) It isn't 'gainfully' self-employed so they aren't happy if you are not working and it is a huge risk even if you are earning less than the £1000 you're allowed to but if you have a part time job and are being topped up it's different

Here's my Freeshare code if anyone would like it!

You should sign up to Freetrade! It’s this app you can use to invest for free. Plus, when you sign up, we both get a free share - might be Apple or Tesla!

I want a free share code if anyone has one Smile

Tohaveandtohold · 10/01/2020 12:00

If anyone still wants the free share code, here’s one.

Catatemyhomework · 10/01/2020 12:02

@Lougle just wondering where you get the option to take the UTest Academy test cycles? I have completed some of the academy courses and passed the tests but I can't see where to apply for the Academy test cycles. Thanks.

justtheonethen · 10/01/2020 12:22

Damn I need to be quicker with these free trade codes! Anyone else got one

MrsWombat · 10/01/2020 12:32

Failed Calawaah on Appen. Think that's my first fail. The test was a nightmare as each question had multiple sections so I think I've dodged a bullet there anyway. Nevermind, onwards and upwards! I still have one long term projects and two that are (still) waiting to start.

toastytea · 10/01/2020 12:38

@MrsWombat oh no! I'm still waiting for next step.. if they put me through but sounds like it could be confusing!

MrsWombat · 10/01/2020 12:45

@toastytea You may well be ok. All the other tests I've done with Appen have been multiple choice so it's either right or wrong. This one you have to type/copy and paste words in so there is a lot more potential for error. Confused If no one passes they may reset everything and let people do it again?

lynsey91 · 10/01/2020 12:48

I have downloaded the Freetrade app but it is saying I have to have a lockable screen on my phone! Is that right? I don't lock my screen nor do I want to

MrsWombat · 10/01/2020 12:52

There's a big batch of people moaning about failing the Appen Calawah test in social so that's made me feel better! Grin
