So... Anyone up for an earn £10 a day 2020 thread?

HAPPY NEW YEAR Crown Grin

For anyone who wasn't with us last year, we all set about trying to earn £10 a day on top of our usual income. No MLM schemes or anything dodgy. There were some fantastic amounts achieved, mat leaves extended, babies conceived, and redundancies survived. I know the thread got a bit confusing to follow for new starters, but please don't be intimidated! You don't need any special skills or anything to do any of this, it's all really accessible and I promise we'll all try to be clear about what sites/terms are so no one gets too lost Smile

I haven't had time to put a full list together, and to be honest I want to pop off and go make the most of the content on Crisp Thinking (social media moderation site averaging around £10 per hour) but I was planning on popping up a list a bit later today.

Thanks again @GachaBread
I just got another prolific study for 40p!
ZIPZERO is my best at the moment. I’ve got a fiver in there now Grin

Patapouf · 09/01/2020 19:33

Sorry you aren't feeling very well Simply, I don't know how to troubleshoot the transcription software thingy, other than to maybe try slowing down the audio?

I haven't heard back about a pass/fail yet, not sure whether this is a good thing.

morrisseysquif · 09/01/2020 19:38

I've dipped in and out of these threads, they are great, thanks OP

Quick question: I passed the Crisp test back in May with 20/20 last year but never heard back, did anybody else have this?

girlicorne · 09/01/2020 19:49

@morrisseysquif I applied for Crisp in June and only got accepted last month so a long wait isn’t uncommon.

morrisseysquif · 09/01/2020 19:57

@girlicorne Smile that is helpful to know, I'm in Greater London so I've wondered if that affects the wait.

Lougle · 09/01/2020 19:59

I have passed the second UTest Academy test cycle. They are very clear with feedback - I got sent a query me to look at a document and address certain numbered points in my report. Very easy to do when everything is so defined.

Flube · 09/01/2020 20:04

@Boobahs I was unsure about the speakers too. And I just couldn't get my head around how to work it, even with the video! I didn't think it was as clear as it could have been, or perhaps I'm just dim.

Took me ages trying to figure out how to add another speaker.

Probably a good thing I failed. Wink

Catatemyhomework · 09/01/2020 20:10

I have just done the Rev test. It's not easy is it? It took me ages. I don't know whether I left anything out. I did slow the audio right down to try and double check but I guess I'll have to wait and see. Does anyone know what your score needs to be to pass?

girlicorne · 09/01/2020 20:11

@morrisseysquif there was a group of us got accepted at the same time from here and I think we had all been waiting a few months. There’s been talk before of it being regional recruitment phases I m in the midlands not sure where any of the other new crispers live. Hang in there hopefully you will get accepted soon!

Flube · 09/01/2020 20:19

@Catatemyhomework I don't know what the score needs to be. Although they claim to provide 99% accuracy, so I'm guessing the bar is set quite high.

My ego hopes it is.....Grin

SpirallingThroughAnotherDay · 09/01/2020 20:28

@Catatemyhomework I've just submitted my Rev test too. That took some thinking about! Does anyone know how long the wait usually is? I feel like I'm constantly checking and refreshing emails lately Grin

MynameisJune · 09/01/2020 20:32

I'm just doing the rev test but my audio doesn't match the transcription they have on the page. Has this been the same for everyone else?

girlicorne · 09/01/2020 20:40

Just a bit of a warning for those applying to rev, the reviews on indeed are awful. Happy to stand corrected if anyone has positive experiences just be aware and check them out.

Flube · 09/01/2020 20:56

I've yet to make £10 a day, but I have made the grand total of £4.92!

It's a start. And I all adds up, so......

I can honestly say, I've NEVER been so excited to see £4.92! 😂

So... Anyone up for an earn £10 a day 2020 thread?
Catatemyhomework · 09/01/2020 20:58

Thanks @Flube. I'm sure it isn't easy to pass if they're claiming to provide 99% accuracy. I probably haven't passed either. @SpirallingThroughAnotherDay, I know what you mean about constantly checking emails. I've forgotten all my passwords as I've signed up to so many companies. @MynameisJune, I think that's the point of the transcription as you have to edit the transcription so that it matches the audio. I hope anyway! Good luck to everyone taking the Rev test! Smile

Whatsmyname2019 · 09/01/2020 21:12

How are the new year crispers doing? I love it but I’m so slow I just keep looking into everything. Has anyone ever been struck off? I’m obsessed about not making mistakes as I find it so interesting

madasaboxofcats · 09/01/2020 22:24

@Whatsmyname2019 I'm a new Crisper, been doing a lot the last few days as had free time. Made about £40 so far, enjoying it but still a bit confusing! Hoping I'm doing it right, lots of repeated items.

AmbitiouslyFit · 09/01/2020 22:25

How long did it take you to get tasks from crisper. I had been accepted into the waiting list two days ago

Whatsmyname2019 · 09/01/2020 22:29

@AmbitiouslyFit 6 months for me

Whatsmyname2019 · 09/01/2020 22:31

@madasaboxofcats are you on phase 1 or 2 ? I seemed quicker on phase 1 and made more.

madasaboxofcats · 09/01/2020 22:34

@Whatsmyname2019 mod 1, literally just started on Tuesday. It's not too bad, I have a target of minimum £10 a day, £20 on weekends. Determined I'm not going to be short this year 😂. Will ensure I put about 20% away for tax.

How long have you been 'crisping'?

madasaboxofcats · 09/01/2020 22:35

@AmbitiouslyFit same for me, about 6 months.

Whatsmyname2019 · 09/01/2020 22:38

@madasaboxofcats just before Xmas then got moved to phase 2 where you can do mod 2 & monitoring. Finding hourly rate a lot slower now as feel like I’m out of training

Whatsmyname2019 · 09/01/2020 22:40

@madasaboxofcats can only do an hour at a time too or lose concentration

madasaboxofcats · 09/01/2020 22:44

@Whatsmyname2019 ahh see I have a really boring actual job, for which I have to concentrate on spreadsheets and statistics and risk models. Perfect training for concentrating on detail for longer periods of time GrinGrin

I'm enjoying it, feels like the first thing that I've tried from this thread in the last year that makes money for me. Best I've done before is Appen with a $75 project (fletcher) and that was a hard slog. I prefer this for sure.
