So... Anyone up for an earn £10 a day 2020 thread?

HAPPY NEW YEAR Crown Grin

For anyone who wasn't with us last year, we all set about trying to earn £10 a day on top of our usual income. No MLM schemes or anything dodgy. There were some fantastic amounts achieved, mat leaves extended, babies conceived, and redundancies survived. I know the thread got a bit confusing to follow for new starters, but please don't be intimidated! You don't need any special skills or anything to do any of this, it's all really accessible and I promise we'll all try to be clear about what sites/terms are so no one gets too lost Smile

I haven't had time to put a full list together, and to be honest I want to pop off and go make the most of the content on Crisp Thinking (social media moderation site averaging around £10 per hour) but I was planning on popping up a list a bit later today.

I've been accepted on two Appen projects but I'm worried overstretched myself.

I work full time in a not overly stressful job but I can only spare 15hrs a week really and that's working weekends and evenings.

How do other people balance working full time with this sort of work?

Here's my referral link for Cleo. It's a free app and we'd both get £5. You connect it to your bank account and it keeps track of your spending. You can connect it to another account to save money as you go along

justtheonethen · 08/01/2020 11:17

@Lougle yay, well done!

@Sallycinnamum one of my appen projects can be done on my phone- I know others do them in lunch hour/on the commute.

SimplyBlue · 08/01/2020 11:24

@EnormousBlisterPack I have similar health issues to you. I am quite new at this but have signed up to Qmee, profilic (profilic is better for laptop/desktop, not mobile imo), respondent - so far I've seen respondent has quite a few where you would have to travel, which you may not be able to do with your condition - but you don't have to select these and there are projects you can take part in from home.

Crisp - people say it can take up to 6 months on the waiting list before you get work so worth putting your name down and seeing how you feel by the time the work comes round I think.

Also - appen, neevo and utest. If you do get any job invites it's up to you whether you choose to accept them so may as well sign up and at least you'd have the chance to familiarise yourself with the systems. And be careful with neevo because some of their mail seems to get sent to spam at first. When I registered to them all the normal sign up mails were in my inbox, but later found out I had missed a couple of task invitations due to them being in my spam.

Lougle · 08/01/2020 11:24

I can't figure the UTest Academy ones at all. I've used the proxy and it makes no difference - the site knows I'm in the UK.

@lilmishap my invoice was rejected overnight Monday, I amended it and resent yesterday morning and they approved it yesterday afternoon. I had a 33 minute discrepancy I wasn’t going to argue over a fiver as I need to be paid on time so I just knocked it off.
@Sallycinnamum you may find the projects don’t always have work so you don’t need to do the weekly hours if there’s no work to do, I had three lrijects before Xmas totalling 60 hours but they never all had work at the same time so I ne we had to do that. I work full time as well usually 9am til 6pm out then 6pm to 10pm prep and admin then I do Appen/Crisp 10pm til 2/3am and a few hours weekend evenings too.

bloominggrace · 08/01/2020 11:49

I'm in, and although it took me 6+ goes, I finally scored 19 on Crisp!

bloominggrace · 08/01/2020 11:50

Appen refused me because my device was already registered when I got my phone to read the Q R code. Has anyone else had this?

lilmishap · 08/01/2020 11:54

@girlicorne I had 2 malta projects on the invoice and it's rejected one of them completely saying I had 0 hours it's about 30 hours but looking at the chat I'm not the only one.

girlicorne · 08/01/2020 12:11

@lilmishap that’s a nightmare way too much to lose! Really hope you sort it!

toastytea · 08/01/2020 13:03

@lilmishap the hours done should still show on srt tool. You definitely clicked submit doing the task instead of next, I know someone else did hours without clicking submit.

Lougle · 08/01/2020 13:11

I'm up to £2.22 on Prolific Hmm it's very sparse. I've found that the surveys which say you need to use a computer still go through ok on my phone, so far.

lilmishap · 08/01/2020 13:17

@toastytea I've sent them a screenshot of SRT, it seems there's a lot of us who are in the same boat. All on Falcon/Malta projects I think.

toastytea · 08/01/2020 13:21

@lilmishap hope it gets sorted quickly for you! Did you receive payment for the same task the previous month with no problem?

siananigans · 08/01/2020 13:23

Ok, I'm in. I briefly read some of the topics last year, but found it all a bit overwhelming!
Anyway I feel down a rabbit hole last night and signed up for:
Click worker - had 3/4 surveys come through but didn't qualify. There's a couple fo tasks involving taking selfies which I'm unsure about, anyone done these?
Appen - have submitted the further documentation and did a test, awaiting approval.
Prolific
Neevo
Intellizoom
Isoftstone - have signed up for the $40 job that @themoneyshed posted.
20cogs - am up to £28 already, should have another £20 coming from a Ladbroke sign up.
LifePoints - this was for one of the cogs on 20cogs.
And I've expressed my interest in doing Shopandscan.

I'm disappointed that so many cogs on 20cogs involve signing up for the gambling sites, I don't really want to open a separate bank account just for that and at the same time don't want a load of them on my normal account. Have been using PayPal where I can so far.

EnormousBlisterPack · 08/01/2020 13:23

@SimplyBlue (no idea if I'm tagging you or not!! Lost all tech ability Smile)
Sorry you're in the same boat but thanks a mill for all the info. It'd be nice to actually earn a few quid & fill some time.

SpockPaperScissorsLizardRock · 08/01/2020 14:08

To the people doing transcription tests, make sure you spell out numbers. That's really easy to get wrong.

Patapouf · 08/01/2020 14:10

Appen have responded to my message about the PIN not working to say the project has ended. Not sure why the system for applications is still open then 🤷🏻‍♀️

Patapouf · 08/01/2020 14:48

Cool @EnormousBlisterPack i can't recall what I did with the referral code I used. I think there might be somewhere to input it on the profile page maybe?

@mumofone2019 they will send you a statement of earnings within the first ten business days. Then you invoice them.

Question for you all!

Has anyone done the Crisp test and got 18/20 and STILL been offered work? I've loave to keep trying variations on my answers to get to 19 out of 20 lol

SimplyBlue · 08/01/2020 18:01

@EnormousBlisterPack

Glad to be of help. Chronic illness is no fun. Getting involved in this stuff, even though that's mostly just been signing up for the different websites and doing surveys, has been good for my mental health and for filling up the time. I get bored stuck at home and it's just nice to have something to do.

justtheonethen · 08/01/2020 18:13

@themoneyshed one person on here did but I can't remember who!
