So... Anyone up for an earn £10 a day 2020 thread?

HAPPY NEW YEAR Crown Grin

For anyone who wasn't with us last year, we all set about trying to earn £10 a day on top of our usual income. No MLM schemes or anything dodgy. There were some fantastic amounts achieved, mat leaves extended, babies conceived, and redundancies survived. I know the thread got a bit confusing to follow for new starters, but please don't be intimidated! You don't need any special skills or anything to do any of this, it's all really accessible and I promise we'll all try to be clear about what sites/terms are so no one gets too lost Smile

I haven't had time to put a full list together, and to be honest I want to pop off and go make the most of the content on Crisp Thinking (social media moderation site averaging around £10 per hour) but I was planning on popping up a list a bit later today.

@Catatemyhomework no I think it is different to what you have been invited to as I had no test to get on this one

themoneyshed · 06/01/2020 17:39

Just in case any of you are into Surveys at all we've updated (as in today) out Top 30 Surveys for Money List with even more entries and some top tips at the start to maximise your survey earnings

Hopefully, some of you will find this useful ;)

One thing to watch out for with Payoneer is the fact there is a minimum threshold needed before you can out via BACS (UK) - I can't remember off the top of my head what it is (I want to say £50) but it's caught me out a few times when I've done work for Appen which hasn't paid me enough to get me over the line!! grrr

SNISR · 06/01/2020 18:12

@anxiouswaiting yes my innari project finishing on the 11th too so eagerly waiting for Forster!

MarySidney · 06/01/2020 18:34

I want to cash out of clickworker but its asking for a 'tax number' can anyone tell me what this is supposed to be?

When I had to supply a 'Tax Identification Number' in a different context, unrelated to this thread, my NI number was accepted.

I've signed up to clickworker, but haven't seen anything there yet.

Will try neevo and utest next. Hoping for something from appen, as I quite enjoyed the test piece I did.

CallofDoodee · 06/01/2020 18:39

Thanks @themoneyshed that's really useful, as I think I might dip my toe in by doing surveys first.

Do you have to upload a CV to do Appen then? Do you need a CV for any of the other sites?

themoneyshed · 06/01/2020 18:50

@CallofDoodee

You do need to upload a CV for Appen but if they actually look at it is another thing! I think it’s just a thing you do to move onto the next section of the application form lol

Lougle · 06/01/2020 18:59

I agree with themoneyshed. My CV was very brief, just dates and qualifications, roles held. No detail about what I did in each role, really - the whole thing was 1 page A4.

JoeHunter · 06/01/2020 19:16

@Patapouf and others who did the isoftone project, did you manage to send it in?

I think I have missed the deadline now. Only had 2 hours available to do it yesterday and was having problems with the transcription. I'm worried I'll get blacklisted or something. Is it worth emailing them to apologise and offer to do the recordings tomorrow or do I just forget about it? I'm not sure of the usual procedure on these things.

JoeHunter · 06/01/2020 19:18

If EOD Monday means until midnight I might be able to do it tonight but I imagined it to be office hours.

seizethecuttlefish · 06/01/2020 19:26

@JoeHunter might be worth messaging. I contacted them about an error and they were saying they're in a different time zone. I've done a couple of projects with isoftstone and they're usually quite accommodating.

anxiouswaiting · 06/01/2020 19:40

@JoeHunter I thought we had till midnight as thats end of day in my mind. I planned to do it when baby goes to bed

JoeHunter · 06/01/2020 19:49

Thanks seize I've emailed now. And oops maybe they did mean until midnight.

JoeHunter · 06/01/2020 19:51

When I last worked EOD/eop usually meant 6pm so I just assumed

whereareyousleep · 06/01/2020 20:13

Has anybody else struggled with the Language certification quiz in Appen for Forster when I press play on the clips nothing is playing so I can't actually do the test?

Patapouf · 06/01/2020 20:14

I figured EOD just meant midnight, I managed to submit a couple of hours ago. I had all my phrases written out and once I got into the flow of setting up the recording app then saying the phrase and renaming the file it went fairly smoothly.

There were a fair few phrases I had to record multiple times because the thing wouldn't transcribe it well. I found that 'scene' was less likely to be transcribed properly after saying adjust; so I said 'set' or 'change' instead!

justtheonethen · 06/01/2020 20:15

@whereareyousleep are you doing it on a laptop/computer? Sometimes they only play that way.

Patapouf · 06/01/2020 20:16

@whereareyousleep are you using google chrome? I forgot and just used safari and it wasn't playing so I switched browsers.

Does anyone know how many coins on gener8 equate to a gift card? I haven't been successful in persuading friends and fam to sign up so I can't access the marketplace properly 😂

whereareyousleep · 06/01/2020 20:24

I'm using my phone but have tried doing it through the chrome app and it still isn't playing anything.

justtheonethen · 06/01/2020 20:30

@whereareyousleep I am pretty sure it said in the guidelines to use a computer.

waitingformyturn · 06/01/2020 20:34

Count me in!

whereareyousleep · 06/01/2020 20:41

It just says use google chrome I don't have a computer Sad

anxiouswaiting · 06/01/2020 20:50

With the isoftstone recordings what have people done when mbot has picked up the wrong thing, just re-record? Only my prompt 1 file for example is actually what was said at number 3 because it got it wrong twice.

Flube · 06/01/2020 20:51

Those who use isoftstone, is the webpage teemwork.ai? Or am I looking at the wrong thing?
