So... Anyone up for an earn £10 a day 2020 thread?

HAPPY NEW YEAR Crown Grin

For anyone who wasn't with us last year, we all set about trying to earn £10 a day on top of our usual income. No MLM schemes or anything dodgy. There were some fantastic amounts achieved, mat leaves extended, babies conceived, and redundancies survived. I know the thread got a bit confusing to follow for new starters, but please don't be intimidated! You don't need any special skills or anything to do any of this, it's all really accessible and I promise we'll all try to be clear about what sites/terms are so no one gets too lost Smile

I haven't had time to put a full list together, and to be honest I want to pop off and go make the most of the content on Crisp Thinking (social media moderation site averaging around £10 per hour) but I was planning on popping up a list a bit later today.

@Catatemyhomework @Lougle ok I've just seen all the courses! Are these actually necessary tho if we're being sent invites anyway?!

themoneyshed · 06/01/2020 14:15

Honestly, don’t be scared of uTest. We had a lady who earned $20,000 from them :)

So as I always say, the money is there if you want to earn it :)

toastytea · 06/01/2020 14:22

@themoneyshed i can confirm I want to earn the money! I thought appen was my most reliable source of income but I'm definitely going to be looking into utest now!! Hoping I get a chance tonight.

DontCallMeDarling · 06/01/2020 14:26

@Reclaiminglife I use zipzero and put it against my gas/electricity bill, I just send it straight to my account and can confirm it comes off the balance.

Catatemyhomework · 06/01/2020 14:29

@toastytea, I think the tests you take improve your rating on the platform. The higher your rating, the more likely you will be invited for projects.

Reclaiminglife · 06/01/2020 14:31

Thanks @DontCallMeDarling. I’m still a bit unclear. When you say you send it to the bill what do you do? I thought I had to register the bank details of the company the bill is with in the app and it then gets sent to them automatically? Also, how do you find it, does it pay well for you?

justtheonethen · 06/01/2020 14:32

Any Appeners started the Forest project? Getting impatient for it to begin.

MarySidney · 06/01/2020 14:39

Callofdodee The crisp test is a bit like identifying potential safeguarding issues. With your education background, if you've done online safeguarding training, you might find crisp similar.

MarySidney · 06/01/2020 14:41

Sorry, that was meant for CallofDoodee.

HarrietThePi · 06/01/2020 14:42

I'm new to Neevo so I'm not really sure how it works yet but my experience was that I signed up and I was checking the app for tasks and not seeing anything but I happened to check my email spam for something else and I had 2 offers from them for tasks in there. I missed one of them but the other I was able to apply for by clicking through from the link in the email and doing the test.

@SpirallingThroughAnotherDay

Thanks for this! I've just found them in my spam folder too Smile I will have to start checking my spam more often. I hope I haven't missed out on loads!

DontCallMeDarling · 06/01/2020 14:45

@Reclaiminglife yes that's correct. On your bill should be the bill paying bank transfer details, just pop them into the app and then when you have a built up decent amount send it off.

Reclaiminglife · 06/01/2020 14:47

Thanks, I see now. I was imagining the app would be automatically sending a few pennies every now and then!

Off receipt collecting!

Spartonian · 06/01/2020 14:54

I keep signing up to U Test but never get an an email to confirm registration.

CallofDoodee · 06/01/2020 15:06

Thanks @MarySidney yes I have done online safeguarding training before - maybe I will give it a go...

Signed up for Prolific earlier today and have made 84p - I'm gonna be a millionaire before I know it! Grin

Lougle · 06/01/2020 15:06

I've only had 3 surveys so far on Prolific, is it usually this slow? I've submitted £1.70 of surveys, but none approved yet.

themoneyshed · 06/01/2020 15:13

@Lougle

From memory, it comes in ebbs and flows.

Due to the work being academic in nature not many Universities are back yet

SNISR · 06/01/2020 15:54

@justtheonethen I'm waiting for forester to start too.

anxiouswaiting · 06/01/2020 16:01

Another one waiting for forest to start here! I only have a few days left on Inari so could really do with that starting or the isoftstone which was meant to start in Dec but has been delayed.

Catatemyhomework · 06/01/2020 16:21

@anxiouswaiting, is the isoftstone project one you were sent in December where you have to do practice and then pass an exam? Just asking, as I have an isoftstone one which I haven't done the exam in yet as it looks quite daunting. Had 67 pages to read then work on practice site. Don't like to be too specific as know we're not supposed to mention specific projects. I thought I'd left it too late to do it, but it is still available. Just wondering if it's the same one as you. I really need to crack on with it.

Lougle · 06/01/2020 16:39

That's helpful.

I'm having issues with the next academy test case. I'm having to use a proxy but it's still detecting that I'm in the UK, so I can't use the features. I'll have another go tomorrow, I think.

LivingDeadGirlUK · 06/01/2020 16:49

I want to cash out of clickworker but its asking for a 'tax number' can anyone tell me what this is supposed to be?

Lougle · 06/01/2020 16:56

@Choosername Just getting back to you about Appen forms: Nothing to specifically 'fill out' - you get sent a form to read and electronically sign (it fills in all the details for you, so you just click 'sign').

You only get one form at first, because they won't take you on as an agent until you qualify for a project, which seems a bit bizarre. However, I signed up for various projects and was put on hold, then I got a qualification survey for one of them. Then Appen contacted me and congratulated on being qualified and directed me back to the forms page for 4 more 'signatures'. Now I just wait for the project to start Smile

Lougle · 06/01/2020 17:07

I've passed Neevo's listening test, although I wonder if everyone does because I mis-clicked a couple of times, so thought I'd fail.

I've decided that I'm too impatient, because I'm already frustrated that there is no work for me Grin

Patapouf · 06/01/2020 17:22

Appen have emailed me to set up Payoneer. Does it make a difference in terms of fees for the withdrawal method?

I.e. is it better to have a bank account attached or Paypal?

So... Anyone up for an earn £10 a day 2020 thread?
Lougle · 06/01/2020 17:28

Somebody may know better, @Patapouf, but when I googled, I found that in general Payoneer has smaller fees, but you have to have more than $19.99 to withdraw, I think. They also credit within 24 hours, whereas PayPal take 2-4 business days.
