So... Anyone up for an earn £10 a day 2020 thread?

HAPPY NEW YEAR Crown Grin

For anyone who wasn't with us last year, we all set about trying to earn £10 a day on top of our usual income. No MLM schemes or anything dodgy. There were some fantastic amounts achieved, mat leaves extended, babies conceived, and redundancies survived. I know the thread got a bit confusing to follow for new starters, but please don't be intimidated! You don't need any special skills or anything to do any of this, it's all really accessible and I promise we'll all try to be clear about what sites/terms are so no one gets too lost Smile

I haven't had time to put a full list together, and to be honest I want to pop off and go make the most of the content on Crisp Thinking (social media moderation site averaging around £10 per hour) but I was planning on popping up a list a bit later today.

@Patapou Can you please let me have your referreal code for isoftstone? Ta

GachaBread · 04/01/2020 10:39

@AliciaWhiskers you too will speed up, like you I started on about 30 an hour and just kept going. I stared to make myself little targets for example sending a message out under a minute and then that guaranteed that you were churning them out at least 60 per hour. Once that becomes manageable then sending one every 40 seconds and then so on or pushing myself to an extra 10 messages when I could take no more. The game changer for me was using a computer mouse rather then my laptop touchpad so I could quickly correct mistakes and click onto the next message. That sped me up a lot. I also listen to fast music in my headphones which puts me in the zone too. I turn of the television and I try to not look at my mobile when working either. Time is money as they say! I do not enjoy it but neither do I hate it if that makes sense. It's an odd one but I have a nice feeling inside when I finish.

Patapouf · 04/01/2020 10:49

@bkaz I don't think there are referral codes, but I believe this is the homepage: https://teemwork.ai/en-us/home.aspx

Fab, thanks whales I've got an amazon wish list as long as my arm so hopefully this will help me buy it all Smile

Anyone interested in signing up for freetrade? I did it yesterday using @Otterses referral code. Here is mine if anyone would like it. You need to sign up and get the app via my link. You can deposit as little as £1 into your freetrade account and then we both get a free share worth anything from £3 to £200.

You should sign up to Freetrade! It’s this app you can use to invest for free. Plus, when you sign up, we both get a free share - might be Apple or Tesla! freetrade.io/freeshare/?code=AHVPJQN8TM&sender=JfpzJuY5

Catatemyhomework · 04/01/2020 11:05

@MynameisJune and @mement0mori, just posted a freetrade referral link. You both mentioned you were interested earlier in the thread and mine has just come through.

@catatemyhomework I've just used your link to sign up.

I'll post mine when it comes through for anyone else that fancies joining.

Catatemyhomework · 04/01/2020 11:22

@Patapouf, thanks. Hope you get a lucrative share! Smile

MynameisJune · 04/01/2020 11:27

@catatemyhomework thank you, I’ve used your link.

I’ll post mine when I get it.

Catatemyhomework · 04/01/2020 11:33

@MynameisJune, thank you. I'm not sure how many people can use it. I think we both get the free share when you download the app from my link, register with them and put in your minimum deposit, which can be just £1.

Februarycat · 04/01/2020 11:35

@Rubyduby26 I recently started on Cloudworkers end of Dec, and at first I was doing around 15-16 an hour, now its around 40, so I am speeding up . It is going ok, better than I thought and a lot of the messages are just general chit chat or wanting to meet or getting them to chat with you again.

MynameisJune · 04/01/2020 11:36

@Catatemyhomework I just waiting for my top up be to be processed, it let me use your link to download the app and I got an email saying about a free share. Will have to wait and see.

Catatemyhomework · 04/01/2020 11:40

@MynameisJune, yayyy! I'm really excited. I wonder what we'll get!

LeithWalk · 04/01/2020 11:54

I'm still interested in the online tutoring - I know I was given some info earlier in the post but looking at the FB pages - it seems a bit of a minefield and too many links that are just others trying to make money via n introduction.

Anyone actually doing this? Can you recommend a decent company to work for?

Thanks

MarySidney · 04/01/2020 12:19

I too am waiting for final verification from Appen. Hope it's not too long, I was getting enthusiastic about starting.

I'm working my way through 20cogs. Done a bit on Prolific, but there doesn't seem to be much there. Nothing much on Clickworker. I've signed up to some of the survey sites, but think I might drop them. I don't seem to qualify for many of the surveys, and I don't want points or vouchers as payment.

TheCanterburyWhales · 04/01/2020 12:43

Whales English and iTutor are pretty reputable.
There are 1000s of them though, some will want esol quals, others will take anyone.
Cambly is one where you upload your own video and then clients (parents of Chinese kids mainly) will book you and you manage it all yourself.

Momniscient · 04/01/2020 13:16

I seem to only get prolific studies in the morning or evening - I guess it's a lot down to luck as they only last about ten minutes? But I'm at £2 now after three studies. Looking good!

MarySidney · 04/01/2020 13:37

I just missed one on Prolific just now. By the time I saw it and clicked it was full up. But I can't sit and stare at the page all day!

I'm wondering if it's a slow time of year, being just after the holidays, and things will pick up in a week or two.

TheCanterburyWhales · 04/01/2020 13:38

The FB page I found all the info on was called "Hired online esl with reviews" or sth.
Be aware that many of the posters on there are recruiting for the various schools, but if they like the look of you, they'll fast track you.

TheCanterburyWhales · 04/01/2020 13:39

Prolific can be empty for days, if not weeks at a time. I just check it a couple of times a day.

thistooshallpass2018 · 04/01/2020 13:46

Me too please

VeganCow · 04/01/2020 16:03

Cloudworkers how much do you get per message and how many a day do you need to send, do they make you do a certain amount?

QueenOfCatan · 04/01/2020 17:23

Did anybody else fail the English native listening test with Neevo?! Was I only suppose to count English English speakers or generic UK English speakers? I assumed the latter as my profile is set to "United Kingdom" but I'm guessing not? Going to have to resign up now Hmm

Patapouf · 04/01/2020 17:46

@QueenOfCatan I counted the 'regional' UK accents too and I've passed. Not that there's any work to be found on there 😒😂

dumbledoressidechic · 04/01/2020 17:57

Can anybody recommend a video explaining match betting? I don't really understand it and I'm getting married this year so I'd be willing to hammer it for a little while if it would help us pay for it.
Also is it easier to do online or can you just walk into the shops and place bets. Dp says one of his friends (who I know has a great job) got refused for a mortgage because he had betting accounts, and his partner left him over it. Which has worried me and put me off opening anything.
