So... Anyone up for an earn £10 a day 2020 thread?

HAPPY NEW YEAR Crown Grin

For anyone who wasn't with us last year, we all set about trying to earn £10 a day on top of our usual income. No MLM schemes or anything dodgy. There were some fantastic amounts achieved, mat leaves extended, babies conceived, and redundancies survived. I know the thread got a bit confusing to follow for new starters, but please don't be intimidated! You don't need any special skills or anything to do any of this, it's all really accessible and I promise we'll all try to be clear about what sites/terms are so no one gets too lost Smile

I haven't had time to put a full list together, and to be honest I want to pop off and go make the most of the content on Crisp Thinking (social media moderation site averaging around £10 per hour) but I was planning on popping up a list a bit later today.

Hi everyone :) Hope you are all enjoying the new year! I am finally on cloudworkers at last, and am actually enjoying it so far!

To anyone else on cloudworkers, how do you keep track of how many messages you have sent for the day? The stats take 24 hours to upload and I am aiming to send 300 messages a day but don't know how to track how many I am sending?

girlicorne · 04/01/2020 00:03

@macaroniandpizza they change the offers on 20 cogs, I got stuck in the summer as I had already done everything on one of the cogs and forgot all about it, went back on yesterday and did a few more as they had changed and it was things I could do so check back in a few days/weeks! I was up to £78 too!

tartantroosers · 04/01/2020 00:12

I'm in!

Illdoiteventually · 04/01/2020 00:36

I had applied for cloudworkers a while ago and was sent the forms. Got scared off because of my job. Anyone else have thoughts on this? Is it all dirty messages?

GachaBread · 04/01/2020 00:44

@Rubyduby26 you can see how many you do by clicking on stats. Then click live stats. If you do this at 11pm or after you will not see what you have done until the morning.

GachaBread · 04/01/2020 00:46

@Rubyduby26 you can also see how many you day by day by clicking on stats then filterable stats click current month, current week or last week and you can see how many messages you have sent in whatever period you are looking for.

champagnesupernovanova · 04/01/2020 00:49

I am late to this but place marking

GachaBread · 04/01/2020 00:55

@Illdoiteventually It is adult chat. A big part of your messages will be excuses as to why you can not meet up, why you can't talk on the phone. Most do want sex talk and some do not. If you are not comfortable with that then I would advise it not being for you.

Rubyduby26 · 04/01/2020 01:22

@GachaBread okay thank you Smile I have been doing it for hours tonight to try and get my numbers up but I don't seem to be getting any quicker lol, how many do you manage to send in an hour?

Rubyduby26 · 04/01/2020 01:23

@Illdoiteventually it's exactly what gacha said, I don't find it too bad to be honest, it's just a lot of ego stroking and getting out of meetups really!

GachaBread · 04/01/2020 01:30

@Rubyduby26 when I first started I was managing 30 a hour. Now between 90-100 a hour I can easily do. I do 300/400 messages every day. Half in the morning and half at night. The trick is to skim the last message quickly and then write your response. I used to try and read a bit of the chat before I sent my response but quickly realised I was doing myself no favours. You will get quicker. I surprise myself how fast I can go myself.
Stats reload at 11pm as that is their 12 midnight and anything you do after then counts as messages towards the next day. Once you find a routine that suits you then it will work well for you.

AmbitiouslyFit · 04/01/2020 01:33

I’m in

GachaBread · 04/01/2020 01:38

@Rubyduby26 I also attached a computer mouse to my laptop and use that for the clicking instead of the touch pad and found I went even faster churning the messages out.

Rubyduby26 · 04/01/2020 01:40

@GachaBread thank you for the tips!! I think I am doing less than 30 an hour at the moment lol, I have done about 5 hours on there today and am not even on 200 yet!

That's amazing that you can do so many an hour, you are the queen Crown Smile

I'm just Gona keep putting in as many hours as possible as it's easy enough, it can get boring can't it but it's not as boring as my job used to be before I became a SAHM so I can't complain!

GachaBread · 04/01/2020 01:46

@Rubyduby26 no problems chic! You will speed up because you get more and more used to it. Yes it can be a drag but the quicker you go the quicker you can log off and get on with your day. Happy to help x

NannyPear · 04/01/2020 03:43

Aah thanks @themoneyshed!

TheCanterburyWhales · 04/01/2020 09:06

Here's one for slow, but passive income!

Gener8 ads- add the extension to Chrome then you see specific ads which gain you tokens on the Gener8 platform. Tokens can be exchanged for Amazon vouchers or donated to charity as cash.

I've been doind it (well, I say "doing it" but all I did was add the extension) and have had £25 of Amazon vouchers since about mid-Nov.

If it's OK here's my referral link which will get me 10 extra tokens.

refer.gener8ads.com/r/9OVJx2

Prepare to say "aaah" at the cute puppy the first twenty times you see him, then a lot less the next eleventy billion times you see him! Grin

AliciaWhiskers · 04/01/2020 09:41

Wow @GachaBread you are super speedy! I worked out yesterday that I can do about 30-40 per hour. Which makes the hourly rate utterly pathetic, but it's also guaranteed money that's there as long as I keep on working, whereas neevo etc you have to wait to be offered work. I need to try and speed up!

I actually find the work quite interesting. Am I mad?! It's like chatting to people all day without actually having to talk to people in person (which I am not so keen on!).

MynameisJune · 04/01/2020 09:46

@10adayfor2020 my Appen account has been on that status about confirming my account for over a month and no sign that it will get done any time soon. Hope you have better luck than me.

Patapouf · 04/01/2020 10:00

Morning all,

I'm still waiting for my Appen application to be signed off properly. It let me in to do a project application and now I have to wait for them to check for discrepancies Shock

I've been accepted for the Isoftstone audio task this weekend, so I have to come up with a load of utterances and figure out the recording software ASAP. Nice $40 though.

If anyone hasn't signed up to gener8 yet, I'd be grateful if you used my link so I can access the marketplace. We both get 10 free tokens although I'm not sure yet what that really means. refer.gener8ads.com/r/eNkJ5N

Spartonian · 04/01/2020 10:01

Still waiting to hear back from Cloudworkers and I need to sort my CV for Appen today.
Can't work out how so sign up for Lionbridge, have emailed them.

Spartonian · 04/01/2020 10:03

How do I sign up for isoftstone?

TheCanterburyWhales · 04/01/2020 10:03

Marketplace means you can buy stuff with your tokens from sellers who advertise on there Pat.

I go for the Amazon vouchers.

Rubyduby26 · 04/01/2020 10:04

@AliciaWhiskers I am the same as you, I'm so slow Blush but like you say, it is guaranteed work there when you log on and no waiting around to be offered something to do!

I actually quite like it too, and after looking after a toddler all day I am glad to just sit on my arse and type if im honest Grin

What is the pay per message? I am aiming to earn £400 a month but I'm not sure it's doable with how slow I am lol.

AliciaWhiskers · 04/01/2020 10:08

@Rubyduby26 I am not on cloudworkers so I am not sure what the pay per message is on that site. I'm on a different one. The base pay is 10p per message but the more messages you send the more you get paid per message. I am averaging 400 messages a week which works out at about £50
