Let's top up our bank balances for Christmas! It's the October earn £10 a day thread

Saw a few newcomers place marking on the previous thread, so a big welcome to them Smile

Christmas is just around the corner, and I'm sure we all could do with the extra earnings to pay for Christmas and keep us out of the January slump.

I'll copy and paste the first post of the previous thread as soon as I'm at a computer.

Has anyone got any targets in mind? I'm aiming for £20 a day, then hopefully £200 or so of 'extras'.

If you are having problems with Clickworker try using their website on Chrome on a laptop/desktop.

anxiouswaiting · 02/10/2019 18:00

@MrsWombat I got acceptes for that too. I think it is similar to one they did on Appwn Global a few months ago, if it is then ot os really easy. Keeping my fingers crossed that its the same!

justtheonethen · 02/10/2019 18:46

@Wolfff it's worth forging on, I haven't had to skip one for the last 200.

justtheonethen · 02/10/2019 18:47

@MrsWombat just applied, fingers crossed but it seems to be listening rather than speaking so it can't be as bad Grin

Wolfff · 02/10/2019 19:06

@justtheonethen

Thanks I did 100 extra to compensate for the ones I skipped!

Moremoneyplease · 02/10/2019 19:41

Just applying for the new Appen job. Do you think they WANT your parents to have gone to uni or not???

Wolfff · 02/10/2019 19:50

Difficult to say. Might want a selection of both?

justtheonethen · 02/10/2019 19:59

@Moremoneyplease I wondered the same but I think @Wolfff is right and they will want both.

Moremoneyplease · 02/10/2019 20:14

Just been accepted so I think @Wolfff was indeed correct.

Does this mean I'm going to actually get some Appen work now?!

3dogsnorth · 02/10/2019 21:27

@Wolfff and @justtheonethen I've skipped quite a few too. I thought they might be the ones that everyone else skipped too. Had a go at most of them, the worst is that they fail them. Only failed 7 out of 3600 and quite a few of them were welsh or Chinese!

justtheonethen · 02/10/2019 21:52

@Moremoneyplease I haven't been accepted yet Sad

anxiouswaiting · 02/10/2019 22:38

Sorry another question for people who have completed the isoftstone recordings.

Did all the ones you skipped count in your failed numbers?

When I finished I had 3460 finished, 97 passed and 3 failed. Although my skipped ones did show in the failed section they didn't show in the numbers.

I have just logged in and now it says 3460 finished 97 passed and 112 failed. So it appears that they have failed everything that has been checked so far. Or my skipped ones now show in my failed numbers, I am not sure which though?

Wolfff · 03/10/2019 06:34

The skipped ones are in the failed numbers. They don't show up immediately though.

Wolfff · 03/10/2019 06:42

Sorry to clarify. I can see the failed ones and the ones I skipped. Some of the skipped ones are counted and some not. Also the ones I was paid for previously, showed the number passed as correct but the amount failed/skipped was too low.

justtheonethen · 03/10/2019 07:14

My skipped ones are in my failed numbers. Like @Wolfff they didn't show up immediately.

Still not been paid for the first lot Angry

Moremoneyplease · 03/10/2019 07:32

@justtheonethen Fingers crossed you'll get the email today!

Otterses · 03/10/2019 07:38

Got accepted for the listening task on Appen this morning Grin

I did it last time round. I think it was about £35ish for an hours work. Dead simple. You just listened to a phrase and clicked what button you agreed with, I think that one was if you liked or disliked the voice.

@Otterses what is the name of that project? I got an email about a few yesterday but wasnt sure which ones to sign up for? I am doing Nile and Saluda at the moment but a nice one off like that would be fab!

Otterses · 03/10/2019 07:50

@pisspants Niflhiem I think it's called?

pisspants · 03/10/2019 08:08

thanks @otterses I have applied for that one now, fingers crossed!

rhij86 · 03/10/2019 08:10

@Otterses I also applied for that one yesterday - here's hoping!
Cloudworker people - I'm filling out my paperwork. Do I leave the start date blank (as they haven't given me one yet) or do I put todays date?

Thanks

Bemystarlord · 03/10/2019 08:21

@MrsWombat whats the name of the new voice one? Is it on global or connect?

I got accepted for one yday i think it was nilfiln (or similar) which is a one off listening one but another voice one would be fab!!

Otterses · 03/10/2019 08:28

@pisspants

Honestly, I'd apply to anything that fits in with you Smile and something that doesn't sound too dull!

OP posts:
MrsWombat · 03/10/2019 09:31

@Bemystarlord It's Niflhiem that i'm talking about. Listening to voices hopefully!

NCforsafety · 03/10/2019 09:31

Is the listening one on Appen through connect or global? I've been accepted for a project 2 days ago and signed paperwork yesterday now can't even look at projects as they are reviewing my paperwork. How long does that normally take anyone?
