Let's top up our bank balances for Christmas! It's the October earn £10 a day thread

Saw a few newcomers place marking on the previous thread, so a big welcome to them Smile

Christmas is just around the corner, and I'm sure we all could do with the extra earnings to pay for Christmas and keep us out of the January slump.

I'll copy and paste the first post of the previous thread as soon as I'm at a computer.

Has anyone got any targets in mind? I'm aiming for £20 a day, then hopefully £200 or so of 'extras'.

@ChubRubTub Thats great, well done 🎉 i’ve just started and been waiting since May too.

rhij86 · 22/10/2019 20:46

@bemystarlord I've not had anything from Inari yet to say I'm on the rating tool.

dreamyflower · 22/10/2019 21:43

Yay. Just got 20/20 for crisp. Fingers crossed I hear something soon.

@anxiouswaiting same here. Saying everyone's been paid if they've signed the contract. Well I have, as I got the original payment so I've replied with a check your records! DH hasn't been paid for any. He's signed 2 contracts now. It's just not on. I don't think they've paid anyone since the original payments. Really not impressed. I wouldn't have done the additional work, if I'd known or recommended anyone. Never dealt with iss before but it's really put me off working for them again. I thought my biggest worry was going to be the rotten exchange rate!

Bemystarlord · 23/10/2019 07:29

Isoftstone payment finally here!! Paid in £ jnstead of $ this time too.

@rhij86 think im being too hopeful expecting anything quick from Appen 😂

rhij86 · 23/10/2019 07:39

@bemystarlord me too haha
Managed to get started with Uolo though, so I'm happy with that!

Bemystarlord · 23/10/2019 07:44

@rhij86 ah thats great, how are you finding it? I applied for it incase inari fell through but haven't heard back. fingers crossed we wont have to wait too long for logins 🤞

rhij86 · 23/10/2019 08:12

@bemystarlord yeah it's good! I'm hoping they'll review some of my work soon so that I know I'm doing it right. I'm finding that I'm getting through it a lot quicker than they want me to though. I'm thinking once I get the tool for Inari I'll be able to do both at the same time - so that I work at the pace they want and don't have to find 7hours a day! We'll see though.

Can anyone who does hourly paid work on appen tell me - on your invoice does it list the physical hours you worked eg 5-7am 23/10/19 or does it just say project a total: 40hours for the month? I'm just wondering if they would be able to tell I was working two projects simultaneously and get 'told off'.

@otterses - we might need to start a new thread! this one isn't going to last another week Shock

anxiouswaiting · 23/10/2019 08:25

Yay woke up to a paypal payment from isoftstone finally! Rubbish fees from paypal amd it appears I may have had about 70 rejected, hard to tell with conversion etc. Frustrating that its not been managed very well, but still the payment vs effort and time made it a good little earner for the pot so I really hope something like that comes around again. I got offered the training for their transxription work too but the guidelines fried my brain!

MrsWombat · 23/10/2019 08:35

@rhij86 My project is self reporting. I get a batch of up to 20 items to look at and go through. I get paid a maximum of 3 minutes per item. So if I get 20 in a batch I put on the invoice 1 hours (which is 3mins x 20 items) if I get less than 20 I just work out 3 x the number and put those minutes in. As far as I can tell they only know what work you've been set and if you've done it. Not how and when you did it. I always screenshot the last item so I know the number I've done and when as I'm often finishing it off at 10pm in bed on my phone and

If your project is auto reporting it will appear in your invoice towards the end of the month. I would check the project details on the project page as it should all be listed on there. (Hopefully!)

MrsWombat · 23/10/2019 08:37

Ha I've not had my coffee yet! Your project might be different. Definitely check out the info on the project page.

rhij86 · 23/10/2019 08:39

@mrswombat thanks! According to the guidelines one project is auto reporting and one is self reporting. I'll have to be sure to keep a note of how many I do once I start the self reporting one!

Thanks for the tips

This thread is getting dangerously full so I've made a new one here:

Has anyone joined the Atascadero project on Appen? It says I've been accepted and to follow the link for the exam, but the link doesn't take me anywhere?

Wolfff · 25/10/2019 17:33

There’s a new thread (above). The task is a one off and I don’t remember there being an exam. They emailed the instructions a week after the invite. For some people it’s longer.

VanGoghsDog · 25/10/2019 18:23

@Graphista
I'm buggered then PayPal won't take my bank card

Can't you just then use the money in Paypal to buy things you need?

Muir23 · 06/11/2019 06:16

Hi all,
Joining you as I’ve been accepted for Crisp and just now through to the live channels but haven’t been paid for anything yet.
Could anyone give me a rough idea of how much I could earn from Crisp by doing around 1/2 hour an day?
Thanks very much in advance

GirlieMilfie · 07/11/2019 15:48

hello all, joining the thread as I found information here very useful

is anyone working for Cloudworkers and is able to tell how many messages, realistically can be sent in an hour?

tia
