I am 30 and I’m concerned I haven’t bought my first home yet.

23, I’m 29 now. Very unexpected inheritance though. 30 year mortgage. That was a 2 bed flat in zone 3 London, then moved to a 3 bed semi which cost less than we sold for. 40 mins from Waterloo.

32. I rented during my 20s and was quite happy doing so.

25 with ex partner. 20 years ago!
When we split up I took the mortgage over on my own. Sold it at double the price when I met my now DH.
We now live happily mortgage free, bought our current house as cash buyers 4 years ago when I was 41.

25. Bought it for £70k, sold it for £150k 7 years later. Invested in dhs house, then built onto the side of the house. Nearly paid off, but we’re moving possibly in the next year to somewhere more expensive.

31 with a 25 year mortgage. It’s a three bedroomed flat which we bought with the idea of selling a few years down the line and buying a house. We can’t afford to do that now as house prices are so high where we live we can’t borrow enough to buy a house. Well, we could but it would be smaller than our flat and not in a good area so I guess we’re stuck where we are.

25 but with my dh. First dc 27. Now 33.

bought first house at 23 with my then husband. We divorced and sold the house. I have rented ever since but saved a deposit and am looking to buy again (now 32) I owuldn't do it again at 23....too oyung to be tied down to a mortgage.... I would have enjoyed my twenties more and waited until now to buy :)
