Just done my two initial bets, both are tomorrow night which is a bit annoying. But most annoying of all is I've placed both bets on the same game. I guess that's not a pronblem is it?

I'm back stuck again now though as all my money is tied up or in the exchange.

I think I'm going to track mine in a spreadsheet when it all gets a bit more complicated.

Canadianviews · 27/11/2017 20:59

I use the Profit Tracker (I think it’s called) s/sheet.

All my money is tied up in the exchange now until about 11pm tonight so no MB for me tonight.

I still feel like such a beginner, I had loads of reloads via text this weekend and didn’t do any of them because I have no clue how Blush What on earth is a ‘free spin’ when it’s at home?! I need to start the reload tutorials I think as ill probably have exhausted most of the opening offers by the end of the week.

I must admit, I feel v poor Sad my bank balance isn’t looking very healthy, I’ve put £230 into MBing in the past 7 days and at the moment am about £130 in ‘profit’ I haven’t been able to deposit any of this permanently back into my account though as I need it all in my exchange.

When do people actually start putting money back into their bank accounts?!

Shnazzyshot · 27/11/2017 21:41

I've made £225 and have £325 'in' so I will now withdraw my original £100 that I put in. So I've now got my own money back and everything I use from now on is profit.

ItsNachoCheese · 27/11/2017 22:22

Id like to start matched betting, am i better signing up to smarkets as well as betfair?

mamahanji · 27/11/2017 22:28

Can someone talk to me about accas? I've read and reread the oddsmoney guides about lay sequential and lock in and bla bla bla.

Are they or are they not risk free?

titchy · 27/11/2017 22:51

Smarkets charge 2% commission, Betfair 5% (although they have a 2% offer on football). But Betfair have more liquidity - although if you're betting on big events (horses, premier league football) there's always exchange money. Betfair are owned by PaddyPower so don't lay PP bets with them.

Smarkets want a very long password and their app is a bit flaky...

titchy · 27/11/2017 22:53

Accas confuse me.... and I can't be arsed to get my head around them! Betfair often have football Accas available though if the bookies come up with special boosted odds accas.

noodleaddict · 28/11/2017 17:51

I'm a bit scared by accas too...will venture there once I'm a bit more experienced.

Can we use odds boosts to make profit? Anyone know how?

titchy · 28/11/2017 19:23

Odds boosts are effectively arbs - or can be.

William hill for example have 10.0 (can be boosted to 10.74) on spurs West Brom and Man U tonight. Betfair as I said below have markets for specific combinations and this is one they're laying for 8.4. So if you've got exchange money it's an easy couple of quid.

Karcheer · 28/11/2017 20:30

I've just put my free £20 bet on for a game on Saturday. At the moment £12.46 of my bet isn't matched on betfair.
Do I wait and assume it will be matched by Saturday or do I need to panic do something?

Karcheer · 28/11/2017 21:08

Down to £11.16 now, so going in the right direction...

mamahanji · 28/11/2017 21:14

Bets can be unmatched or partially matched if there isn't enough money in the exchange. So if only a few people have made small bets, there might not be enough to match your full bet. Or if the odds changed slightly in between you typing in the details and placing the bet.

If it's a main game, there's a very good chance that the bet will be fully matched in time. But always check so if you are placing a £100 bet, and there's only £64 under that outcome, its only going to be £64 matched and £36 unmatched.

Karcheer · 28/11/2017 21:17

I'll keep an eye on it between now and Friday. What can I do to resolve it? Or do I just put it down to experience?

MissFitton · 28/11/2017 21:32

I'm in that extremely annoying position of having about £90 of free bets to use and about £180 worth of qualifying bets to make before the weekend and only £29 in the exchange Hmm Things should look better after tomorrow but I'm having an unfortunate run of wins at the bookies!

I have only done one acca as it was part of a free bet bonus. They do seem a little complicated but I once thought that of MBing in it's entirety so I'm sure they can't be that bad.

Wrt unmatched bets, by Saturday you should be alright - I've found it's usually when betting on last minute things they can go unmatched.

OP posts:
titchy · 28/11/2017 21:36

If it's football it'll match - most bets come in much closer to match day.

Missfitton don't forget you can lay on each outcome of the same match - your liability will only be for the outcome with the largest liability.

Karcheer · 28/11/2017 21:47

Yes it's football. Only £1.26 unmatched now, so I can relax!

MissFitton · 29/11/2017 06:52

That's good to hear Karcheer.
titchy - I've been doing that and it's a top top to share but I've still managed to go from £800+ in the exchange to £29... waiting for withdrawals to come through so I can top up!
I've managed to get three free bets this week that I wasn't expecting (and pretty sure I wasn't supposed to have). Anyone else had random free bets put in their accounts?

OP posts:
mamahanji · 29/11/2017 07:28

I had a £20 free bet from William Hill and when I went to use it, there was an extra £15 of free bets in there!

That was pretty good.

So how does laying multiple outcomes on the same game work? Am I placing multiple back bets with different bookies?

titchy · 29/11/2017 07:43

You should take up betting missf!

Yes you put your free back bets on at different bookies, on e.g. The same horse race, you might back three horses, one with William hill, one with coral and one with sky. Lay each one and you only have one lot of liability not three.

Karcheer · 29/11/2017 07:45

Morning, everything is matched now phew!
Also my other free bet came through from last night, so put that on a match for tonight.
Can't do anything else now as all monies are tied up... guess I'll have to do some cleaning of the house instead!

Canadianviews · 29/11/2017 10:46

Ah it’s really annoying I have £78 in my Comeon account that I’m trying to withdraw but they’re saying I can’t until my ID has been verified, I submitted it a couple of days ago, does anyone know how long it takes to do that? I need that £78 for my exchange!

SharonNE · 29/11/2017 12:16

@canadianviews
I think Comeon have live chat support. Ping them a quick message and it might speed up the process.

mamahanji · 29/11/2017 15:00

Ah poops. Just done the k8 sign up, so you deposit up to £50 and then they match your deposit. So I've done a really nice bet, should make £48.47 Profit out of my £50 (I think!) but I didn't realise the match wasn't until Sunday so now I have £250 tied up until Sunday evening 😒

FreckledLeopard · 29/11/2017 15:56

I do a few lock in sequential ACCAs - they're a nice way of making a profit. I found watching the Team Profit and Odds Monkey video guides were helpful. The only annoying this with lay sequential lock ins are that you need to remember to lay each leg of the ACCA, which is problematic if you're out and about and there's only a short time period between matches. Otherwise, though, they're a good way to make a regular profit.

mamahanji · 29/11/2017 16:07

Is it a profit every time? Or do you make losses too?
