Hi all hope to be £700 in profit by the end of the weekend woo hoo. Looks like there are a few of us doing well starting up.
Quick question about the 2ups, do you cash out at the bookies too?

Merryoldgoat · 26/10/2018 20:25

@mmmbeans

let us know how you get on!

I've just used my in-play bonus on 888 & Bet Victor and bloody hell it's stressful finding matches at half time - it doesn't help that I have literally NO idea about all of the foreign teams so I don't even know tournaments etc to look for.

Right got a bit of time before my matches settled so I best actually do some of the cleaning I've been meaning to all day.

Underworld345 · 26/10/2018 21:47

2ups - no you don’t cash out st the bookies - the whole idea is that they pay out early. You cash out st the exchange or even better wait for a draw or comeback then win at both sites!

I use oddsmatcher and usually stake £50 on bet365 but hear of people staking much higher than that. I use oddsmatcher to get 98% or above matches and get on as many as I can with as little qualifying loss as possible. There’s no strict rules really - team profit guide says go for odds of 1.7 and above.

Gammeldragz · 26/10/2018 23:34

mmmbeans if you can't get Profit Accumulator because of the Betfair problem, what about oddsmonkey? That's what I use and it's linked to my smarkets account. The tools you get with it make it well worth paying for, because the calculators tell you exactly what to lay and as it links to smarkets you can lay the bet with one click. Removes a lot of room for error!

I've done most of the sports sign ups and have moved sideways a little into the casino side. Over £200 up in a few days just from bonus offers and daily free prize games/spins. Took me a while to build up the confidence for low risk casino, but I've had a good first few days (only one or two losses and fair bit of luck) so I'll keep it up I think. Seem to be a lot of offers around.

I'm still doing sports betting, now on to a few of the weekly bet clubs, using price boosts and practicing accas. Not really prepared for 2ups as I'd have to be more aware of the games and how they're progressing. Seems a lot of work for something you'd have to do a lot of to see a decent profit.

Underworld345 · 27/10/2018 08:18

@gammeldragz where do you find the casino offers? Just on oddsmonkey calendar? I’ve started low risk casino but not making much - small amounts but mainly losing a few quid here and there or breaking even.

Underworld345 · 27/10/2018 08:22

ALso, I’m trying to understand how bookies feel about matched betting? What I thought was that as long as you’re losing bets at the bookies then they’re making money from you. But then I’m hearing that they don’t, which matches up with why they hate arbing so much? You would think they were still mking money when you do an arb but do they only make money from our qualifying loss or something?? I’m so confused! Does anyone know how it works and have a good article about it?

titchy · 27/10/2018 11:41

Bookies don't like it at all - hence banning people. At the end of the day it's the bookies' free money offers that people are using to make profit, even if they lose to the exchange. The point of the free offers is to keep you gambling, not give you free money.

If you're interested in casino look on the OM chat pages - 'low risk casino no chat' and the same thread title but 'chat. Hugely helpful.

mmmbeans · 27/10/2018 12:19

Gamm

Yes I'm signed up to OddsMonkey. I just got a bit confused I find the tutorials, written or video, more confusing than just being able to ask on here.

I guess what happened to me just goes to show that you don't actually lose any money, and that it is risk free!

crazyhouse123 · 27/10/2018 12:25

Ok, I'm a bit confused about smarkets. I've been using it a bit more to build it up but, unlike Betfair, it doesn't seem to take the liability out of my balance. Is this right? I've checked the bet and it's definitely against Liverpool winning!

Underworld345 · 27/10/2018 21:42

Crazyhouse I think it does...has your bet been fully matched?
I prefer smarkets now and use it the most due to 0% commission.

mmmbeans · 28/10/2018 23:27

Hi

Quick question please...following the advice I was given a few days ago. Using the calculator on Odds Monkey, I placed back and lay bets using my welcome bonus. This won at the bookies (£16). What do people do with that? Do you withdraw or use that to place further bets (while also laying at exchange).

If using it to place further bets do you use the calculator for that too? And if so what setting are you using (eg free bonus, normal etc)?

Tia

Merryoldgoat · 29/10/2018 00:27

@mmmbeans

You withdraw it to use for the next welcome offer.

As far as I can see if you have a good balance in the exchange you can make bets with higher odds meaning your lay is more likely to win and therefore your exchange balance will grow without you having to do loads of transferring around. The thing is your liability will be higher so you need a bigger exchange balance.

crazyhouse123 · 29/10/2018 06:40

Hi mmmbeans at the start I withdrew any bookies winnings as Merryoldgoat said and used it for the next lot of welcome offers, however now my exchange has built up I am leaving more in the bookies as it is then there if reloads come up.

Underworld345 yes it had been fully matched, funnily enough Betfair did the same to me yesterday so I think it's because the odds were so low so my liability was less than my bet. I don't know if that's right but next time I lay against an almost certainty I will check the fractional odds first.
Thank you!

mmmbeans · 29/10/2018 07:44

Thanks so much for your replies love this thread

Merryoldgoat · 29/10/2018 08:36

I’ve managed to tie up all of my funds except for about £25 so no betting for a while until all the withdrawals hit my bank account. Unless the Tottenham match isn’t a draw I’ll have totally depleted the Exchange. Bah.

mmmbeans · 29/10/2018 09:11

I've decided to get back to basics and start again. Have withdrawn bookie funds and waiting for it to go back to my account. Made a bit of a mess of it, so once the money is back in I'll start again.
Have downloaded a spreadsheet from Team Profit so will track it all on that too.
Currently have £70 in Smarkets exchange but will top it back up to £100 when funds hit my account and use the other funds for bookie offers.

SushiMonster · 30/10/2018 16:03

You lovely expereinced MBers (@Underworld345 @titch plus anyone else who can help me)

I have a query on strategy for the smarkets intro offer, T&Cs are here

Basically refund of losses on next five matches, max £10/match.

So I have selected my West Ham. What is my strategy?

Should I just do a normal (not matched) £10 bet on each of the next five West Ham games?

If so, should I go for something more likely to get winnings (e.g. Saturday back West Ham for the win @ 1.84) and if they win I get 18.40 (8.40 profit) and if they loose I get my £10 back which I can use again.

Or should I go big e.g. the draw at 3.65?

Bigger chance of just getting the £10 refund to use on a match of my choice using traditional MB where i can seem to be extracting 70% ish run rate so far.

Or should I do the guaranteed profit method and back a west ham result on smarkets and lay it on betfair using the oddmonkey calculator? But TBH I am struggling to see how that ends up being better NPV positive with this offer as my £10 is safe anyway?

Any explanation / help / guidance is muchos appreciated!

SushiMonster · 30/10/2018 16:17

Actually after doing more reading think I see how the guaranteed profit method works out with a better NPV with setting the free bet retention to 100% and higher odds

sazzle27 · 30/10/2018 19:42

Does anyone have/know of a promo code for profitaccumulator?
Bit at the thought of paying 17.99/month when i don't quite trust myself in the profit making!
Have seen mentions of a cheaper code somewhere on MN but I'm unable to find it again!!

Merryoldgoat · 30/10/2018 21:28

@Sazzle27

I highly recommend the PA subscription. I’m at £603 profit in 10 days and that’s because I’m working my way through their offers.

I have a referral code but I’m not sure what it does!

Gammeldragz · 30/10/2018 22:51

@sazzle27 I use Oddsmonkey which is very similar. They have a £1 trial offer I think.

I hit my £1000 profit yesterday, after branching out into casino/slots offers. Made £60 today just in the (short) breaks in my 12.5 hour shift!

sazzle27 · 31/10/2018 11:09

Fab thank you you lovely lot!
If i can guarantee that sort of profit, £18 a month is acceptable 😂

Just don't have that sort of money to casually throw, per month, with no output..
But if i can get that sort of profit then I can cut my overtime at work down and invest the time instead to MB!

Any general hints or tips? Am i best following the videos word for word?

Merryoldgoat · 31/10/2018 12:40

I literally just worked my way through the welcome offers, doing the easy ones first. I’m about a third of the way through and still have a few ‘easies’ left.

Do the free example, get your £45 profit and that’s 2 months of PA - you’ve not lost anything.

sazzle27 · 31/10/2018 18:10

Very fair point Merry
You've sold me on it!
Here goes nothing...
