@Canadianviews different merchants take different lengths if time to track the cashback - if you go to the merchant page it should give an indication of tracking and payout time. Can take a few months before it's paid.

Can anyone explain what gubbing is??

Canadianviews · 23/11/2017 19:17

welsh ah okay thanks! Gubbing is when Bookmakers realise you’re a MB’er and stop sending you promotional offers/ and/ or suspend your account.

Karcheer · 23/11/2017 19:23

I've just been reading about Mug bets. Do the more experienced of us do this? Seems pretty local.

I've just done my SkyBet to get my free bet. Looks like it's already allocated that to me, so I'm going to do that one tonight and leave it at that for tonight I think...

DottyDotAgain · 23/11/2017 19:42

Have tried to upload a screen shot!

I'd tried to match to the 4.4 odds but got a 'not matched' message so immediately tried again when it was 4.6 but also got a 'not matched' message - but both had gone through!

So the 4.6 odds is the one I definitely didn't want to lay...!

HELP!!

DottyDotAgain · 23/11/2017 19:45

WOAH!! I've cashed out and made the money back Grin

Thank you Titchy - at least there's money back in my Betfair - have only cashed out on the 4.6 I didn't mean to place - will leave the other one as it is as I should make a profit on that anyway..!

PHEW!!!

Karcheer · 23/11/2017 19:46

Pretty logical! Not local!

DottyDotAgain · 23/11/2017 19:58

Hi Karcheer -i haven't placed any mug bets yet - have been getting lots of offers but so far am only taking up the free bets offers - am ignoring the casino ones except for free spins, where I've made about £3 via Paddypower.

Not in a position to place mug bets yet as I've never got enough cash anywhere - am trying to keep as much as possible in Betfair.

DottyDotAgain · 23/11/2017 20:33

Silly question to anyone knowledgeable!

When you cash out a free lay bet on Betfair, can you still win the original bet via the Bookmakers?!

titchy · 23/11/2017 20:34

Phew!

Karcheer · 23/11/2017 22:10

Good evening for me, just under £15 up and all monies ended up in the exchange.
Probably won't be around until Monday, so good luck over the weekend everyone.

Welshmaenad · 24/11/2017 00:23

@Canadianviews thanks for explaining. Grouchy bastard bookies!

Skinnydecafflatte · 24/11/2017 07:08

Hi, can I join? I started MB on Monday and taking it slowly. I would have made £90 but I made a mistake with Betfair and so lost £26 on that and effectively wasted a £30 free bet from William Hill 😫
I keep hearing people say they got 'gubbed', how do you know do they contact you, stop sending you offers or just suspend your account. Is there anyway back from this? Thanks

MissFitton · 25/11/2017 13:36

Hello all. Busy-ish Saturday and have wiped out my exchange bank so having to wait for bets to settle before I can do anything else.

Yes, you can still win at the bookies if you've cashed out at the exchange - they're totally seperate bets, not connected in any way shape or form, no sirree.... Grin

Odds monkey have an offer on I've just done. £7.50 for the first month.

moogdroog · 25/11/2017 19:46

Anyone with a reasonable handle on MBing and a Sunbets account - get in on the darts action, they're running the offer again Grin

MissFitton · 25/11/2017 19:50

moog - I've bet on the darts today.* Not a sausage. Hmm Hoping for a better do of it tomorrow. In fact I've fucked up all over the place today.* It's not been a good day for MBing in this house!

moogdroog · 25/11/2017 20:29

Oh no MissFitton - its not been quite as good as last time, and all been a bit fractious what with fitting in weekend family life and all that. I've yet to add it up, as I've taken biggers QLs this time, and not so many 180s on the games I've managed to get on. I've had a bad day on the slots today mind you too Sad

MissFitton · 25/11/2017 22:51

Not sure what's going on with all my asterisks all over the place!

I lost about £12 on QL on the darts and had no free bets from it. I then did the 'cancel unmatched bet, re-lay, repeat three times until it's matched and then discover when it's settled that I have now, actually, got three lots of laid bets'. Unfortunately as I didn't notice until too late I've just had to take the hit. Total of about £60 down today.

Tomorrow will be better!

OP posts:
MissFitton · 25/11/2017 23:03

Right, let me take some of that back.....I did get free bets from the darts, they just hadn't shown up until now. That makes me feel a whole lot better!

I'm so pleased! I've made about £225 so far! I'm 3 weeks in and I still get mega nervous every time I place a bet. Does this ever go away?

How does everyone keep track of how much they've got in each bookies account? I found £64 in one that I didn't even know I had which got me a bit worried.

mamahanji · 27/11/2017 10:36

I was using the team profit spreadsheet but I actually find it 100x easier having it all written down in a book. I write down all my my trigger bets and how much qualifying loss it had and how much it triggered and then the same with my free bet.

I also have a running list of what money is in what bookies or exchange and what bets I have going on. It just worked so much easier for me than the spreadsheet.

Shnazzyshot · 27/11/2017 11:04

Thanks mama, I'm using the profit tracker from OM which I like. I just need a system of bookies account balances. I might give your system a try.

lannister · 27/11/2017 11:15

I began mb last year but had to stop as I needed all the funds for a family emergency. I did all the sign up offers and really enjoyed and would like to start again. Does anyone know how easy it is to restart if you have completed all sign ups and how much bank would i need? Thanks

FreckledLeopard · 27/11/2017 17:45

I managed over £100 in free bets from the darts offer and did my first foray into dutching too. Now to find some good bets to place the free bets on....

Karcheer · 27/11/2017 20:17

Hello all,
Back MBing tonight, just placed my initial bet with Stan James.
I was going to do the William hill one as well but team profit suggests placing a a mug deposit of £30-£50 I haven't got that available at the mo as most of my cash is in the exchange. So I might do the Betstars one instead.
