Oh and being ‘recognised’ for ‘upping the number of people she speaks to on a daily basis’?

That’ll be why she got people at her gym signed up... Bet there are ppl who actively avoid her!

DoratheExplorer17 · 23/10/2017 08:49

The reality is that you will be slogging your guts out working days, evenings and weekends for the rest of your working life in mlm!

spanfan · 23/10/2017 10:42

Glad it's not just me SmileGrin

cozietoesie · 24/10/2017 13:38

Out of interest, Dora. When you were ‘in the life’, what was it like to wake up of a morning. How did you feel?

DoratheExplorer17 · 24/10/2017 17:47

Honestly....? The first thing I did every morning was to pick up my phone, go through the bazillion notifications and messages on fb because obviously all network marketers get up at 6.30 and spend an hour commenting on fb, sending messages and posting inspirational shit memes in the fb groups. The anxiety stared immediately. It was relentless. By the time I finished I absolutely hated it. I just wanted to wake up have a coffee and get in the shower but you were made to feel like it was THE MOST important thing in life to send out 5 messages before you even got out of bed. I neglected my house. It was a shit tip (looks lovely and clean and tidy now 😉) Sometimes we would even have a morning training session at 6am so that we all did your messages and posts by 6.30. I honestly felt ill from it all and I've spoken to lots who have said the same. There should be a disclaimer on these businesses that says if you want to be successful you will literally have to put your life on hold and work at least 12 hours a day!

cozietoesie · 24/10/2017 17:59

How awful, Thanks - and I’m glad you’re out now.

Spongebobette · 24/10/2017 18:19

It’s so gre to have an escaped FBO on here Dora, I hope that people who are being lured into this life with promises of making money ‘just chatting to people’ will come across this thread

Spongebobette · 24/10/2017 18:19

*great

DoratheExplorer17 · 24/10/2017 18:43

Hopefully by sharing my experience it will make people feel think twice before getting sucked in. And if any lurkers want to pm me for a chat off these threads, please feel free. I will never share anything you tell me or ask me and will give you honest answers

Spongebobette · 24/10/2017 19:11

That’s really kind Dora

charlyn · 24/10/2017 20:14

Can anybody help figure out what this mlm is please?... A fb 'friend' who was doing juice plus but then seemed to stop about 6 months has started posting again about her 'amazing buisness opportunities' and all the usual pm me and such mlm spiel. Apparently she is getting free apple watches and things like designer trainers and cinema tickets. She posted today that all her 'teamies' recieved their free apple watches. Im curious to know which mlm it is as hadnt heard of bots receiving goodd like that before.

Norma27 · 24/10/2017 20:30

Looks like yawnbot is about to do another c9! Cannot be healthy at all.

cozietoesie · 24/10/2017 21:26

To every ‘silver lining’, there’s a ruddy great cloud, charlyn. Grin

Spongebobette · 24/10/2017 21:39

Norma

She seems to get ill quite often. Hmmm

SpecialAgentDaleCooper · 24/10/2017 22:00

I've also noticed that various bot's children (the very same ones that seem to get force fed enjoy that vile aloe drinking gel, supplements etc and used for photo opportunities) are always ill.

Just as well that they are their own boss.... what with all that time off they have ill or looking after ill children Wink

DoratheExplorer17 · 24/10/2017 22:00

According to all her fb posts in the last few weeks, she's been hitting the gym, she found her soaring manager pin (which she thought she had lost because it was in one of her thin jackets which she's not worn for two years) and the weight is dropping off. The all of a sudden, (in the last week) she's been eating crap and bloated out. So this C9 is a load of bs. She's done it a trillion times and apparently a week of not going the the gym and eating crap means you need to do another one??? Or you could just adopt a healthy lifestyle and keep the weight off without a C9?? The C9 DOES NOT WORK!!! You lose a coin let of pounds of water and it all goes back on again (which is why the reps do it 4 times a year) Total waste of money!

SpecialAgentDaleCooper · 24/10/2017 22:05

I'm sure that if I did as many hours in the gym as she allegedly does I wouldn't be needing crap, expensive, short-lived fast-fixes like C9s.

Something doesn't add up Confused

fitgirl26 · 24/10/2017 23:51

@charlyn - that sounds like an insurance MLM that’s been floating around called Vitality...

CheekySmile · 25/10/2017 07:42

Vitality isn't MLM, although a few bots have been barking on about it recently. It's health and life insurance, and there is a members scheme where you earn points by doing healthy activities and that qualifies you for incentives like the Apple Watch and discounts on things like bicycles etc.

charlyn · 25/10/2017 08:37

@fitgirl26 I think you may be right. She posted about being glad she had life insurance incase anything happened to her and just noticed shes posted something similar again. She said there was no selling involved which confused me. Shes contantly posting trying to get people to message her which makes it sound like she earns from signing others up and she mentioned her team so sounds like an mlm?

ArbunneHun · 25/10/2017 09:12

I’m a member of Vitality through my health insurance scheme at work. There is, I have discovered, a financial services MLM that has Vitality as part of its portfolio (together with life insurance, mortgage protection etc etc).

The Apple Watch isn’t free. It’s about £70, and you get charged the balance of the full price if you don’t do a certain number of steps a day. The trainers are 50% off at sweatshop. You also get discounted gym membership, cinema tickets etc through Vitality.

Dora, thats very nice of you to share your experience, Im sure there are plenty of people who would benefit from talking to you. I have been really shocked at all the bitchiness and nastiness that I have seen coming from these Mlm's lately. I know it probably goes on behind the scenes but this has been out in the open. I should imagine it will have put a lot of people off from joining which is fantastic. They are doing our job for us, and I feel a bit redundant. I'm just going out for some more popcorn, better than the soaps all this is. Joking apart though I do feel sorry for those badly effected by all, it really is disgusting.

msgyouhuns · 25/10/2017 22:25

Sad to see people commenting on brokeflatbots post to say they can't wait to free up some cash to pay for this personal development MLM. They really are leeches to people who may not have a lot of money and are just hoping for a break Sad

DoratheExplorer17 · 26/10/2017 06:39

Yes another example of an mlm encouraging their reps to spend money they don't have. Also another example of a company who tries to get extra sales under the guise of pretending they are doing something for a worthwhile cause. In this case 'SELLING THEIR BREASTMILK' to help premature babies to raise money to increase their inventory of lularoe leggings???? If you really want to help the babies, GIVE it to them rather than sell it ffs!!

msgyouhuns · 26/10/2017 09:10

Buzzfeed have left their email at the bottom of the article for anyone else who's been in mlm. Time for a big exposé? Would be great for them to do a piece on valentus to stop more people being sucked in
