I reported Lipbot to ASA because she was making health claims about Xerveo but the post got taken down.

ArbunneHun · 17/09/2017 12:00

Eeeeek! Who's excited about the Valentus Florida Success Summit huns?????

And the 'free' luxury cruise that some have qualified afterwards! All you have to do is pay for your own flights, accommodation at the beginning/end of the cruise, transfers & spending money. But the bit on the boat is all paid for huns!!!! A whole few days on a cruise ship during peak hurricane season when no one else wants to go and cruises are dirt cheap!!!

Eeek! Valentus really takes care of its reps!

PS: if I've got any of this wrong, Valentus reps, please do #popon with proof & set the record straight. Thanks huns!

SentientCushion · 17/09/2017 12:05

I want to join in! How do I find out who you are all talking about?

SSDGM · 17/09/2017 12:08

Lipbot's page is completely clear of all posts, pouty or otherwise now.is porschetestdrive's the same?

They're predators. Dangling designer carrots at people who aspire to do much more than their education and background could give them and it's sickening. These people could be actually looking for a real job or a career that would kick start some sucess in the future and they're having their time wasted by a greedy couple of narcissists for their own financial gain.

Soz. Gone a bit ranty. I probably should go and eat something.

Wow that free cruise sounds expensive! Lol. Regarding FLP, they dont pay for endorsements. There are actually quite a few professional sports people that order certain products. FLP have batch tested products for that. I had quite a few sports customers. The bullying campaign awkwardness did make me LOL though x

BSintolerant · 17/09/2017 13:05

Therealbarnbot how do you know that FL doesn't pay for celebrity endorsements?

TheRealBarnbot · 17/09/2017 14:34

Purely by chance when I asked once how they choose who to endorse them. Had a conversation about it with one of the head office employees and she explained they dont pay for endorsements. Many reps have celeb customers and it stems from that internally xx

BSintolerant · 17/09/2017 15:53

Interesting. Do you believe them though? I don't.

Whiterangey · 17/09/2017 16:19

I think most of the Valentus cruising bots are struggling to afford it. They seemed eager to not go when Irma hit and I think they have been pushed into going.

They can't be earning much at all at the moment and I doubt they saved anything when they were.

TheRealBarnbot · 17/09/2017 16:57

@BSintolerant yea I do, I think because I had lots of dealings with head office and asked questions etc kind of really got involved with it to an extent that probably most reps dont in terms of wanting to know the ins and outs of things. I probably saw and heard more info than what would've been given voluntarily. Also knowing how conversations were at the time Id say it was true. There wasn't really a need to lie as such. X

BSintolerant · 17/09/2017 17:52

I wonder if celebrities turn up at success days as a favour to Forever? It's hard to believe that Forever doesn't cover their travelling and hotel expenses or pay them for their time on stage.

I'm sceptical because MLMs and fibs are well documented - especially those documented by the Amway escapee in Merchants of Deception. (For those of you who haven't read it, there's a free PDF online. It is a real eye opener.)

BSintolerant · 17/09/2017 18:03

I used to work in financial services. All staff were instructed to be very careful when it came to fielding phone calls in order to protect client confidentiality. We weren't even allowed to reveal how many staff worked in our organisation, or how large the office space was.

It doesn't surprise me that Forever Living's office staff blab to their reps about whether or not their celebrity customers are paid for endorsing their products. Surely that sort of information shouldn't be divulged to anyone at any level - it's a clear breach of confidentiality even if they're not being paid a penny.

Anyone care to put that to Head Office?

TheRealBarnbot · 17/09/2017 18:05

@BSintolerant yea I get that. FLP do spoil you in incredible ways I can totally confirm I never paid a penny for VIP events accommodations spending money food and drinks holidays etc were all at no cost whatsoever to us or our plus one. Yes theres aspects in the company that arent good regarding bullying etc but after experiencing what i have these last few months it has highlighted where FLP where in a different league with many things. Its hard to put it in context in a written post but there is a lot of heart in FLP in many ways, as always there is alot of things that need addressing but if i can have a great experience i see no reason why others cant its just getting rid of the greed and ego instead of rewarding it.

TheRealBarnbot · 17/09/2017 18:10

Its difficult for a company to be transparent and answer reps questions and not then be judged for doing exactly that. You cant have it both ways. Its a divided topic isnt it so much so because the industry is like an onion, so many layers and lots of grey areas many of the bad aspects could be changed with regulations, company accountability and more honesty x

Spongebobette · 17/09/2017 18:29

I would possibly think less badly of FL if they would publish an average income disclosure

Wonder why they won't ???

NeverTwerkNaked · 17/09/2017 18:41

Apologies if this has already been put on here (have skimmed the thread so may have missed!) - Timeless Vie Facebook has been shut down (for now at least ) by Facebook. There's a petition here to ask them to reinstate it: www.change.org/p/facebook-bring-back-timeless-vie-on-facebook/nftexp/ex5/v2/53633810?recruiter=53633810&utm_source=share_petition&utm_medium=facebook&utm_campaign=autopublish&utm_term=autopublish&utm_content=ex5%3Av2

BSintolerant · 17/09/2017 19:46

Therealbarnbot The industry is indeed like an onion - the more layers are peeled back the more it makes me want to cry.

These companies should be transparent. Getting celebrities to sign an agreement stating that the fact they're not paid (assuming this is true) to endorse products will be made public (in the interests of transparency) shouldn't be too difficult. Perhaps there's already something to that effect in FL's small print?

Sponge we all know that Forever Living are more likely open a chain of bawdy houses (stocked with aloe gel, no doubt) before they disclose average income statements. Grin I suspect bawdy houses make more money than the average MLM bot.

Jonsey32 · 17/09/2017 20:20

I'm in a Facebook group about DIY on a budget. Guess who's popped up showcasing her amazing house.
When people have commented she has gone in with her business opportunity.
Thankfully she either then removed it or it was reported as she asked someone to contact her about the opportunity so that they too could have this amazing house.

There's still other things she's written though about once having no money, having a dream board, making dreams a reality etc.

MrsGotobed · 17/09/2017 20:36

Doesn't surprise me - she's really going for the Interior Design by Browbot thing at the moment.

As far as I can make out its:

  1. Go to Home Sense
  2. Buy shit
  3. Put shit in room
MrsGotobed · 17/09/2017 20:37

Sorry, forgot the last bit

  1. Put photos on fb and wait for adoring fans to tell you how wonderful and inspirational you are and how they want you to design their interiors when they make their fortune and buy their Forever Home
darceybussell · 17/09/2017 20:39

That's quite sneaky and actually quite clever to be honest - using DIY groups as a recruitment source! Who knew that was a thing!

BSintolerant · 17/09/2017 20:46

But she's forgetting that the MLM Resistance is everywhere ....

Jonsey32 · 17/09/2017 20:54

I will report if I see it going on again.

The whole point of the group is doing things in a budget!
Not peddling a get rich quick scheme!
