ExpatMrs · 08/04/2017 15:59

Just came across a good few MNers talking about it on another thread. I don't even know what it is but from the jist of the convo, there's good money to be made from having a couple of hours a day to do it... I have those hours!!
Can anyone enlighten me please?

I've done it!! yay. Thanks Maid! so, now I wait to get my free bets from Coral

BeeFarseer · 12/04/2017 14:46

Oh! One thing I meant to mention - does everyone have sufficient ID? Sometimes you'll get asked to verify your identity when you open a new bookies account, and they usually want a photo of your passport. If you don't have ID, it can hold you up.

MaidOfStars · 12/04/2017 14:46

Is that race not already over?

Verticalvenetianblinds · 12/04/2017 14:46

Yep. And I can't cancel it. Praying it loses. It's not as easy as it sounds! ( well it is if u change it to decimal like it says)

Verticalvenetianblinds · 12/04/2017 14:47

15.20. After I've gone to work! Will be logging on in the toilets

MaidOfStars · 12/04/2017 14:47

This?
GO TO CORAL
BET £5.00 AT ODDS OF 1.53
BACKING DORTMUND

GO TO BETFAIR
LAY £5.07 AT ODDS OF 1.56
YOUR LIABILITY WILL BE £2.84
LAYING DORTMUND

YOUR PROFIT WILL BE -£0.19

DangerousMouse · 12/04/2017 14:50

Yep I've placed those bets, also got £15 from topcashback coming my way!

MaidOfStars · 12/04/2017 14:50

Coral credits immediately.

You can now repeat the whole process, using the calculator in exactly the same way. But now you want to change the odds you're searching for to 4+.

I'll run it too and see what comes up.

How much do you have in Betfair?

DangerousMouse · 12/04/2017 14:50

fingers crossed for you Vertical!

DangerousMouse · 12/04/2017 14:51

oh god this is scary! Hardly anything in bet fair, I could put £20 in there max

DangerousMouse · 12/04/2017 14:53

Where did you get 4+ from (sorry, just want to understand!)

Verticalvenetianblinds · 12/04/2017 14:53

I don't think I've ever wanted a horse to lose a race so badly!

DangerousMouse · 12/04/2017 14:54

Right, I've run that search, and the top few horses have matched odds, so any of those would be ok I think?

MaidOfStars · 12/04/2017 14:55

Hardly anything in bet fair, I could put £20 in there max
So you understand that as this is your max liability, you essentially won't be able to cover a £20 stake at Coral at anything other than even odds, meaning you won't make any money.

All is not lost though. Coral credits 4 x £5 vouchers. You can place one of these each over the next four days.

Look at Munich v Real tonight.

Oddsmatcher is saying to:
GO TO CORAL
BET £5.00 AT ODDS OF 5
BACK REAL TO WIN

GO TO BETFAIR
LAY £3.96 AT ODDS OF 5.1
YOUR LIABILITY WILL BE £16.24
LAY REAL TO WIN

YOUR PROFIT WILL BE £3.76

MaidOfStars · 12/04/2017 14:58

Where did you get 4+ from (sorry, just want to understand!)
The higher this odds figure on your free bet, the most profit you make out of it. However, you don't want to go too long odds, because it will attract attention at the bookies (hmm, she bets small stakes at low odds when it's her own money, but higher stakes and long odds when it's our money = flag!).

The Oddsmonkey tutorial said to aim for 4-5, so I did.

and the top few horses have matched odds
I'd stick to footie right now. Makes you look like a regular better.

DangerousMouse · 12/04/2017 15:00

I must have put something wrong in the filter as I can't find that? Its all horses

MaidOfStars · 12/04/2017 15:02

Lots of horse racing going on today. Click to limit sports and check the football icon.

DangerousMouse · 12/04/2017 15:03

The bookmaker is coral, the exchange is bet fair, liquidity is £5 - the free bets

DangerousMouse · 12/04/2017 15:03

Do I have to change the odds?

MaidOfStars · 12/04/2017 15:05

Change the odds to at least 4.

CalmItKermitt · 12/04/2017 15:06

Hmm so basically the more money you keep in your Betfair wallet the better, because the more bets you can have on the go?

CalmItKermitt · 12/04/2017 15:08

When you get the email or text for an offer/reload, does it come in the form of a code you have to enter?

MaidOfStars · 12/04/2017 15:09

Hmm so basically the more money you keep in your Betfair wallet the better, because the more bets you can have on the go?
This is my plan. Wins at bookies withdrawn, Betfair topped up to a level that maintains my current activity. Excess from Betfair, should it reach a big excess, out to my current account.

MaidOfStars · 12/04/2017 15:10

How are you doing, Dangerous?

MaidOfStars · 12/04/2017 15:12

Wins at bookies withdrawn
Keeping enough for my mug bets of course.

I've read that you don't need ot think about mug betting until you've worked your way through all the newbie offers. Same for reloads.

I think there is a strong temptation to jump on every offer. But there's no need.
