ExpatMrs · 08/04/2017 15:59

Just came across a good few MNers talking about it on another thread. I don't even know what it is but from the jist of the convo, there's good money to be made from having a couple of hours a day to do it... I have those hours!!
Can anyone enlighten me please?

As in: £5 deposit may get you a £10 free bet but £50 deposit may give you a much higher free bet?

ExpatMrs · 08/04/2017 17:21

Ahhhhhh the key is in the float! This is good info. I'll keep having a look online and see if I can dig up any other good starter tips.

Cherry - £5k in 6months is fabulous, plus I don't even mind bingo!

Sort of but not really. (I'm so helpful, ha.)

The free bet offers you get when you first open an account tend to be consistent. You'd know if you could get a better free bet by depositing more money, because they'll make it obvious.

MaidOfStars · 08/04/2017 17:31

Will I need a dedicated email account? Is that a good idea to keep everything in one place?

CherryChapstik · 08/04/2017 17:37

O you don't get better offers based on money in your 'bank.' It just means you can take full advantage of all the offers instead of having to build up to them. I viewed it that it didn't really matter where my money was as long as I could keep track of it! And I put a fair chunk of my savings into my float. I keep about a grand in it.

CherryChapstik · 08/04/2017 17:38

I don't do it too much at the moment. I was gubbed by a few of my accounts and now I just dip in and out - it's almost impossibly to keep all your accounts open- you can try but it won't work - eventually they'll gub you no matter how much you try and 'behave' like a normal punter

ExpatMrs · 08/04/2017 17:41

£5k would clear my credit card though, I'd be happy to give up after that. *she says that now...

Do you get addicted to it. Have you made losses?

bblondemoment · 08/04/2017 17:51

I signed up spurred on by the earlier thread and placed my first bet however............ It transpires that coral aren't offering free bets for new players today - hardly surprising as it's the biggest betting day of the year so I'm a bit stuck as to where to go from here as the videos etc all say that it's your free bets that gets the ball rolling . Anyone any ideas?

TrinityForce · 08/04/2017 17:52

Be careful if you sign up for it today guys, I've just spent £17 on the profit accumulator website to get started, but the Coral free bet that it seems to rely on isn't on today...

feel like a mug :(

bblondemoment · 08/04/2017 17:53

Me too trinity Angry

monkeyfacegrace · 08/04/2017 17:54

here

MrsWombat · 08/04/2017 17:55

Me too Trinity! Angry I feel very silly!

monkeyfacegrace · 08/04/2017 17:55

I make a ruddy fortune. Make easily £10k a year.

trinity don't panic, it doesn't matter that Coral isn't on. There's TONS that you'll make money on.

You don't need to use PA, but I do as for the one payment it just puts everything into a one place and stops me getting confused. Their forum is a lifesaver too.

MrsWombat · 08/04/2017 17:59

I realised before I did any matched betting with it though. I had deposited money in it so used it for my usual grand national bet. Still grrring though! Maybe they'll send a welcome email with an offer later on?

bblondemoment · 08/04/2017 18:00

Monkey because we're not entitled to free bet do we just start with more of our own money in this instance?

monkeyfacegrace · 08/04/2017 18:00

As long as you don't get gubbed you'll get loads from Coral. They do free bets all the time.

woodhill · 08/04/2017 18:01

Do you have to declare your income if you go into the tax bracket.

MaidOfStars · 08/04/2017 18:03

I spotted the lack of sign-up offer from Coral. Will check tomorrow.

Utini · 08/04/2017 18:03

I made around £35k in a couple of years, from offers and arbitrage, but got banned from a lot of my favourite bookies. This was years ago, I was hoping to get back into it while on maternity leave but 6 month old DD is a bit of a velcro baby and I just don't get the time.

MaidOfStars · 08/04/2017 18:03

In the first instance, to get the hang of it, sticking with one bookmaker is advisable?

monkeyfacegrace · 08/04/2017 18:04

No, the only way to make money is to qualify for free bets.

So you'd use the calculator to see how much to bet on each website for your qualifying bet, then again for your free bet. You aim to convert about 75-80% of the free bet value into withdrawal funds.

monkeyfacegrace · 08/04/2017 18:05

woodhill gambling is entirely untaxable. It's winnings, nothing more.

strawberrygate · 08/04/2017 18:11

I found profit accumulator massively helpful. Not just for the lists of offers but the forums for discussion, and the lovely tools like matchcatcher which really reduces time / money spent on each bet.
I was very dubious about it but can do it with my eyes shut now. As pp say, you need a float of at least 50 - 100 to start. wel, you could start with a tenner I guess but would take you a long time to then build up. And it does build up remarkably quickly.
