Still going strong here at bot watch HQ on MN!

Previous thread here

Botwatch on Wordpress and on Facebook

Timeless Vie on Wordpress and on Facebook

Eyespeying's Blog aka #manhun, even if he's been banned by MNHQ

Hommetepreneur on Facebook
www.lazymanandmoney.com/is-every-mlm-a-scam
We have our own regularly returning bots.

Glossary:

Bots: our affectionate name for victims of the MLM racket

MLM: Multi-level Marketing schemes - essentially pyramid schemes that are just legal because you sell a product. Reliant upon constant recruitment despite there not being enough people in the world to go beyond about 12 levels if everyone recruited 6.

Downline/Upline: the people you recruited and those who recruited you (going up and down the pyramid inverted funnel)

Timeless Vie: Parody of MLM schemes (though you might spot one in particular) that also carries out fearless investigative work. Flogging the amazing skinny lard and now carbonated lard. The arsenic is not the evil Victorian stuff. #TeamDannii #gettingalardon

Hommetrepreneur: also excellent parody site focussing on the menz

BotWatch: Rather more serious, keeps an eye on what the Bots are claiming next, particularly in reference to health and income claims. Also fearless.

Inverted Funnel: Timeless Vie is NOT a pyramid - it's an inverted Funnel, OK?

Eyes: Our former member Eyespying who knows LOTS about MLM schemes. He's still our very own #manhun.

Fitgirl

Given the unreliable info from wrist monitors (chest/upper arm devices give more accurate/consistent readings) I struggle to see how they will compete with the hugely popular Fitbit/Garmin/Polar devices.

Websitee* is littered with spelling mistakes. Supposedly headquartered in the UK and only about three years old.

I got as far as the titanium plates with Germanium and Himalayan Salt and was laughing too hard to continue.....Grin

Spongebobette · 15/01/2017 20:37

Oh but it has 'true residual income'

Must be legit then

cozietoesie · 15/01/2017 20:44

Ah - confess, Sponge. It was the Himalayan Salt that finally got to you! Grin

Spongebobette · 15/01/2017 20:47

Yes I'm totally convinced now, where do I sign???

ArbunneHun · 15/01/2017 21:02

LOL! And I thought India Backe-Hander's upcycled san-pro over on TV was stretching credibility!

Plus I read 'germanium' as 'geranium'.

sunshinehitme · 15/01/2017 21:28

i have a FL bot on my facebook who went all quiet about 6 months ago...she has now returned with a vengance with some very shady travel based nonsense...attempting to recruit people to some undisclosed company who are going to provide you with free holidays to texas, belize, anywhere in the world you want to go, etc etc- It is all very shady...anyone know anything about this one? its got to be some kind of dodgy scheme...

I offer you all 'Geranium Salt' then. A free niche for anyone who wants it! Grin

ArbunneHun · 15/01/2017 22:39

The holiday nonsense sounds a lot like My Travel Biz. It's a big old scammy pyramidical scheme. There was a flurry of it in my area for a while about 2 yrs ago & then it just disappeared...

fitgirl26 · 15/01/2017 22:54

Ha ha ha! Thanks acat! I first came across this lot of con artists when they were flogging Body by Vi - I will watch this with interest. Geranium salt Grin I think I'll stick with my Fitbit for now.

fitgirl26 · 15/01/2017 22:55

Do you think we could approach Danniiiii about mixing Geranium Salt with lard?

cozietoesie · 15/01/2017 23:06

I'm sensing some great 'copy' here - all about 'bringing a bloom to your cheeks' etc...........Grin

KnittedBlanketHoles · 15/01/2017 23:23

See, I just got my pay deleted off a local woman's site on Facebook for warning that Jamberry is an MLM. At least I haven't been banned from the page... yet.

I've asked permission from the admin to write a warning pay about MLMs in general. Not sure how well that will go across.

Sean1984 · 15/01/2017 23:32

Theres some launch of JP in Duabi. My bots been blabbing on for the last 2 months about "his" business launching in the UAE. "HIS" business.... !!!!! HmmHmm i feel embarrassed for him!!!! I cant belive 2 people wished him good luck!!! FFS!!! Talk about deluded

CurlsandCurves · 16/01/2017 09:39

Just thinking about the 'why do people get sucked into this' question.
As an ex FL I have been doing some digging to see what's going on in their world these days. And I see that the number one distributors who were always number one, are no longer. And the new number one only joined the business in 2006!
Jeez, they must love her! Look, anyone can do it, she only started in2006 and now she's at the top of the tree. See, it's not all about the ones who get in there first, ANYONE can do it!!!

Is it any wonder people buy into the dream?

CantstandmLMs · 16/01/2017 09:42

My Younique bot is also a teabot (vida Divina?), a hair product on (honestly don't remember the name) and now happily announced she's doing Anne Summers. She's running all of these together so you can only imagine what my FB feed looks like!

How though? Sounds like a nightmare doing multiple MLMS!!

fitgirl26 · 16/01/2017 09:52

I think the Multi Bots are the most irritating - always hammering on about "working my businesses". I'm surprised they don't run out of emoji!

acatcalledjohn · 16/01/2017 13:10

The Himalayan salt got me too. A mix of Hmm & Grin

SCENTED GERANIUMS

The flavor of scented geranium flowers ranges from rose, to lemon to nutmeg and can be added to sorbets, ice creams and desserts. The leaves can also be used and added to soups, stews and sauces for flavor.

Spongebobette · 16/01/2017 16:08

'Working my business' makes my toes curl

It's an intransitive verb.

Spongebobette · 16/01/2017 16:13

curls I think that we have some evidence that the top bot you mention has got to the top by using some rather questionable strategies, I think it's on Timeless Vie

CurlsandCurves · 16/01/2017 18:26

@spongebobette thanks I'll take a look!

I knew there had to be more to it. Maybe that's why a lot of FL bits are now seeing the light, as Dora said last week...

DoratheExplorer17 · 16/01/2017 18:45

This made me laugh 😂
