Still going strong here at bot watch HQ on MN!

Previous thread here

Botwatch on Wordpress and on Facebook

Timeless Vie on Wordpress and on Facebook

Eyespeying's Blog aka #manhun, even if he's been banned by MNHQ

Hommetepreneur on Facebook
www.lazymanandmoney.com/is-every-mlm-a-scam
We have our own regularly returning bots.

Glossary:

Bots: our affectionate name for victims of the MLM racket

MLM: Multi-level Marketing schemes - essentially pyramid schemes that are just legal because you sell a product. Reliant upon constant recruitment despite there not being enough people in the world to go beyond about 12 levels if everyone recruited 6.

Downline/Upline: the people you recruited and those who recruited you (going up and down the pyramid inverted funnel)

Timeless Vie: Parody of MLM schemes (though you might spot one in particular) that also carries out fearless investigative work. Flogging the amazing skinny lard and now carbonated lard. The arsenic is not the evil Victorian stuff. #TeamDannii #gettingalardon

Hommetrepreneur: also excellent parody site focussing on the menz

BotWatch: Rather more serious, keeps an eye on what the Bots are claiming next, particularly in reference to health and income claims. Also fearless.

Inverted Funnel: Timeless Vie is NOT a pyramid - it's an inverted Funnel, OK?

Eyes: Our former member Eyespying who knows LOTS about MLM schemes. He's still our very own #manhun.

I've just read the last couple of hours reading through botwatchblog. So much information about horrifying statistics and experiences. 100% confirmed what I already knew and that is that I never ever EVER want to be involved in any kind of MLM again. I've had multiple messages from people who have left my old company. Many have gone on to other MLMs 🙄 (Not seen the light yet) and think I'd be 'amaze balls' in their company because it's better than any other blah blah blah.

I've also spoken to several people who were managers in forever recently. And all of them say the same thing. Money and team dwindled. Debts piled up and health deteriorated with anxiety brought on by targets, long hours and pressure to sell/recruit 😔 Makes me so sad for other friends who are genuinely lovely people who are still being brainwashed.

I've also spoken to another manager who wants a break from it all. She had been suffering with anxiety, depression and exhaustion, but feels obliged to keep going because her successful upline is a good friend. Really wish I could just tell them to just get out now before she feels worse.

cozietoesie · 01/03/2017 19:46

And what makes them think that their new MLMs will be any better? (Genuine question.)

This myriad of messages - they were attempts to recruit you?

BSintolerant · 01/03/2017 21:58

curls Thank you for telling us all about "This Country", episode 4, ' King of the Nerds' on BBC iPlayer. I laughed at Eternal Vitality's business presentation, especially when the bot denied it was a pyramid scheme! The juice which tasted "like arse" and made everyone vomit looked liked it was dredged up from a stagnant pond!

"I'll be earning £15,000 a month selling this."

I don't know if I found it hilarious or desperately sad viewing. Our friend 👀 would describe it as "tragicomic."

cozietoesie · 01/03/2017 22:17

I think that's probably right, BS. (The 'tragicomic'.)

CantstandmLMs · 01/03/2017 22:21

This Country is brilliant and bloody loved the MLM storyline!

DoratheExplorer17 · 01/03/2017 22:21

Yep cozie. All trying to recruit me.

Not a clue why people think that any MLM is better than another and they will be able to make the next one successful?

cozietoesie · 01/03/2017 22:47

Their 'recruitability' hasn't gone away - and the new 'You're part of our team/family now' is just as appealing - possibly more so if they diss the former MLM and its 'uncaring' and 'unsupportive' ways. (That would act as a salve to any wounded pride.)

BSintolerant · 01/03/2017 23:50

Dora are any of the FL managers making a quiet exit? Does their immediate upline inherit their downline if they sack FL for good and don't jump ship to another MLM?

cozietoesie · 01/03/2017 23:58

Interesting point, BS.

Toobusytowee · 02/03/2017 09:38

Are there any midwives or doctors reading these threads? I put a post up on Bot Watch FB page about JuicePlus and vitamin A supplementation in pregnancy. I showed a photo of NHS guidance saying pregnant women should not have any vit A supplements and someone has come on defending it, saying it is within safe limits. 70% RDA is not safe when the recommended supplementation amount is 0%.

I have nursing and midwifery qualifications but I am unable to prove this as I want to be anonymous on Bot Watch. I would appreciate it if someone with some authority could comment on the thread for me.

Actually, I would welcome any sensible, informed comments. Qualifications or not. Here is the link m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=1228517550599260&id=894726580645027&notif_t=like&notif_id=1488437612665735&ref=bookmarks

cozietoesie · 02/03/2017 14:33

Has anyone managed to come forward, Toobusy?

Toobusytowee · 02/03/2017 14:53

No they haven't but the person arguing has gone away now.

Wearingmybiggirlpants · 02/03/2017 15:43

Does anyone have any experience of Utility Warehouse? trying to find more info. Thank you

Wearingmybiggirlpants · 02/03/2017 19:29

Thank you very much for the info Toobusy just wondering if anyone here is or has been a distributor and how they found it. On the face of it distributors can make an income from sales and don't have to recruit other salespeople but I'm not sure if that's true. I have several friends who are involved and I'm just not sure whether I should start avoiding them (or trying to rescue them!!).

DayToDayGlobalShit · 02/03/2017 20:43

Wearing - avoid like the plague

P1nkSparkles · 02/03/2017 21:42

Hi all, new to this thread - but just wanted to seek your wisdom...

My sister-in-law has been "welcomed" onto a team for something called "king and queen movement" - lots of business/faux inspirational stuff....

I'm assuming this is MLM (literally reeks if it) but I can't find any info on what it is/actually sells... does anyone have any experience of this one?? (Just so if it is I can prepare my responses for why I won't be buying stuff)

Thanks

cozietoesie · 02/03/2017 22:53

That's one I don't know, I fear - I'd welcome your report when you've found out a bit more. Just be prepared for it to be a 'pure money' sort of thing. Commit to nothing and watch your email and social media accounts like a hawk.

DoratheExplorer17 · 02/03/2017 23:57

BS Yes your upline automatically inherits your downline and income if you stop working. If you quit then the people you directly recruited become their direct recruits. If you keep your account then it does prevent your upline having those people count towards their 'pins' but if you stop doing 4CCs then the income bypasses you and goes above you

katcatkat · 03/03/2017 06:25

King and queen movement is another name for Juice plus

darceybussell · 03/03/2017 06:44

Ah yes, there's also a princess movement in juice plus which is a team run by a very young top bot who is very good at the social media attraction marketing.

cozietoesie · 03/03/2017 08:30

Ah. Thanks, kat. Smile

P1nkSparkles · 03/03/2017 09:11

Oooo sneaky juice plus....
Thanks - forewarned is forearmed and all that!! I'll feed back any developments.

Spongebobette · 03/03/2017 10:29

Better hurry up. Only 3 places left!

Some info about kings and queens from Eyes-

"

Last year, a correspondent of mine was briefly in contact with someone from the UK with a sister who was a JP Bot.

The contact sent a link (see below) and had realised that Juice Plus is a cult.

The contact began google-searching after seeing green-lettered JP literature in his sister's possession which said:

CREATING THE COMMUNITY OF HEAVEN ON EARTH

SURVIVE &
THRIVE!

  1. GOD
  2. PHYSICAL
  3. PERSONAL DEV.
  4. SOCIAL
  5. FAMILY
  6. CAREER

KINGS & QUEENS!'
