Still going strong here at bot watch HQ on MN!

Previous thread here

Botwatch on Wordpress and on Facebook

Timeless Vie on Wordpress and on Facebook

Eyespeying's Blog aka #manhun, even if he's been banned by MNHQ

Hommetepreneur on Facebook

We have our own regularly returning bots.

Glossary:

Bots: our affectionate name for victims of the MLM racket

MLM: Multi-level Marketing schemes - essentially pyramid schemes that are just legal because you sell a product. Reliant upon constant recruitment despite there not being enough people in the world to go beyond about 12 levels if everyone recruited 6.

Downline/Upline: the people you recruited and those who recruited you (going up and down the pyramid inverted funnel)

Timeless Vie: Parody of MLM schemes (though you might spot one in particular) that also carries out fearless investigative work. Flogging the amazing skinny lard and now carbonated lard. The arsenic is not the evil Victorian stuff. #TeamDannii #gettingalardon

Hommetrepreneur: also excellent parody site focussing on the menz

BotWatch: Rather more serious, keeps an eye on what the Bots are claiming next, particularly in reference to health and income claims. Also fearless.

Inverted Funnel: Timeless Vie is NOT a pyramid - it's an inverted Funnel, OK?

Eyes: Our former member Eyespying who knows LOTS about MLM schemes. He's still our very own #manhun.

X post.

ZuluWarrior · 27/02/2017 00:06

Cheers cozie

BSintolerant · 27/02/2017 00:09

Is Team EZ Kleeneeze?

Jools Richie Howie's video is very interesting - thank you for that. I hope that the former Forever Living spy is getting all the support she needs.

I hope Richie Howie doesn't think that Timeless Vie's Skinny Lard is a metabolic menace. Wink

BSintolerant · 27/02/2017 00:17

So - Team EZ might become - say - EZ Money Team?

Cozie I honestly thought you were joking! Bloody hell, she must be desperate. How very sad. Angry

cozietoesie · 27/02/2017 00:25

It was only a thought, BS. Blush Further work might well be needed.

ZuluWarrior · 27/02/2017 00:26

I will look into it further this week and report back!

CurlsandCurves · 27/02/2017 09:20

That Ritchie Howey vid is brilliant, he just makes me giggle with all his swearing, lol. Just goes to show how FL must be running scared if they (multinational company, in ten million countries, so huge and powerful, blah blah) are concerned about what this one man is saying!

cozietoesie · 27/02/2017 12:20

What 'one man is saying' can be important in commerce. Look at Gerald Ratner's .........unfortunate comment about his chain's products. Smile

cozietoesie · 27/02/2017 18:37

Good luck, Zulu. ( You might want to check on YouTube as well if you're having a look see, by the way.)

Spongebobette · 27/02/2017 20:48

One top FL bot did an 8 hour round trip to help a new 'business partner' launch her 'business'

Desperate much?

BSintolerant · 27/02/2017 21:28

Bloody hell Sponge. That's what I'd call a botty call! Grin

CurlsandCurves · 27/02/2017 22:15

An 8 hour round trip was not unheard of just to show someone the 'opportunity' when I was in FL years ago.

I should know, I did it. Well, kind of. Invited a friend to a presentation near her, 3 hours drive away from me. Fortunately my brother lived half an hour away from the venue so I could stay over there.

What on earth was I thinkng? Oh yeah, I was working my business, check me out, off to a business meeting on the other side of the country, that how serious I am about making it. What a tit!

cozietoesie · 27/02/2017 22:24

I suppose that if you're real seriously inculcated it might be seen as 'dedication to the cause'?

I do hope that that particular adherent hasn't got young children and any sort of home life though.

Spongebobette · 27/02/2017 22:30

Oh I'm sure it's all worth her while, who knows, the new super botted business partner might recruit lots for her downline. 😉
That's presumably what keeps her going

Botwatcher84 · 27/02/2017 23:46

Hey all

Long time lurker here. I hate these mlm's and like someone mentioned above watch in annoyance but weird fascination at the bots on my fb.

3 of these are close to me, one a best friend has just jumped ship from flp to legacy team global. Whats that i hear you ask.... well its isagenix and he has been recruited by friend number 2 who is now on his third mlm after kleeneze and jp. Mark colbourne (olympian i think) has also jumped to this and they are claiming to be founder members in the uk.

Number 3 is extended family and its so similar to zulu warriors posts it could be the same person... she has tried and failed at jp and has joined team ez.. which again is isagenix...

The bullshit is the same and they may be in first but i think people are getting wise/ bored of this mlm shite now

cozietoesie · 27/02/2017 23:55

It's that 'love buzz' and that initial family/acceptance/friendship thing etc though. They're tremendously powerful, especially if you have any frailties. Hence people leaving one and heading off to another. It's not just because they're broke and need the (promised) ££££. It's the 'Oh you're so wonderful - my team are the only ones who will really appreciate that and give you the right support, though.'

teawamutu · 01/03/2017 10:56

I just had an old school friend contact me after years. She asked if I wanted to have lunch soon and mentioned she was about to quit her job to be a career coach. Hoping I'm wrong but I'm wondering...

cozietoesie · 01/03/2017 12:28

You're likely correct, I fear. Were you close, backaways?

teawamutu · 01/03/2017 12:30

My best friend for most of our teenage years...

cozietoesie · 01/03/2017 12:43

It's possible then that she's having a life wobble and wants to touch base with her younger years. 'Possible'. At least you're forewarned.

I wish someone had come up with scripts to use to escape a difficult situation. (They generally work from scripts.) It's potentially quite difficult to get out of without putting your hand in your purse at least.

How strong do you think you can be in real life?

teawamutu · 01/03/2017 13:37

Rock solid. I have a job with flexible hours, decent pay, a pension and sick leave, I hate social media and I've read every single Bot thread Grin

cozietoesie · 01/03/2017 13:49

Good luck then. Let us know how it goes - if you have time. Smile

CurlsandCurves · 01/03/2017 16:36

Bbc iplayer. Comedy series called 'Our Country'. Watch episode 4, ' King of the Nerds' . The characters get sucked into a scheme called Eternal Vitality, lol. Really funny!

CurlsandCurves · 01/03/2017 16:40

Sorry it's called This Country, not Our Country.

cozietoesie · 01/03/2017 18:55

I watched it - but though it's labelled as comedy, I found it desperately sad. Perhaps, after these threads and reading Timeless Vie and Botwatch, I lack perspective. Sad
